Ruhi's fingers curled around the cold railing of her balcony as she stared at the night sky. The stars were faint against the city lights, just like the emotions she kept trying to bury under her carefully crafted indifference.
Tonight had unsettled her. The way Abhi had looked at her, challenged her, pushed her into this silent battle-she hated that it affected her.
She had told herself from the beginning that she was different from the other girls who fawned over him. She had convinced herself that she was playing the game, not getting played. But why did she feel like she was slowly losing control?
Her phone buzzed, breaking her thoughts. A message from Meera popped up: "You left early. Everything okay?"
Ruhi hesitated before replying: "Yeah, just tired."
A lie. But what else was new?

Meanwhile, Abhi sat in his car, his fingers drumming against the steering wheel. Tanya had tried to pull him back into the party, but he hadn't felt like staying. Not after that moment on the terrace.
Ruhi had walked away first, but he knew-he knew-she wasn't unaffected. And that intrigued him more than anything.
Girls didn't walk away from Abhi Rathod. They clung, they chased, they begged for his attention. But Ruhi? She played the game differently.
He smirked to himself. This was getting fun.
Just as he was about to start the engine, Arjun's call flashed on his screen.
"Bro, you left without telling anyone," Arjun's voice came through. "Tanya was pissed."
Abhi chuckled. "Tanya will live. Besides, the party got boring."
"Right. Or maybe a certain someone leaving made it boring?" Arjun teased.
Abhi didn't respond, but his silence said enough.
Arjun laughed. "Damn, she really got under your skin, huh?"
Abhi exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Let's just say... she's not like the others."
"And that's exactly why you're hooked."
Maybe Arjun was right. Maybe this was different.
Abhi's grip tightened on the wheel. He had no intention of losing whatever this was. If Ruhi wanted to play, he'd make sure he was the one who set the rules.
Game on.
....to be continued...
Author's Note:
Ruhi's telling herself lies, Abhi's rewriting the rulebook, and neither of them's ready to back down.
Love? Maybe.
Obsession? Possibly.
Dangerous chemistry? Oh, definitely.
This game's only getting dirtier-so buckle up.
