Chapter: 8 Meeting the MC
Inside the space, Noir stood motionless with stern expression on his face, looking at the runes that describe his Flaw.
Flaw: [Inhuman]
Flaw Description: [You don't have any morality and would do anything to enjoy your life even committing any inhuman Things. You Do what you like and don't follow any rules and restrictions.]
"That's it? Shouldn't it be something way worse?" He said "I mean it is not a good thing to lose your humanity but any smart person would choose to lose their humanity if they were offered immense power in exchange." He said. While he was thinking the spell spoke again.
[Wake up, esteem Deity!]
The void spun and disappeared.

Noir opened his eyes.
The armored ceiling of the police station's vault hangs above him. Somehow he felt a bit lonely, maybe because within some hours he got attached to the child of a nightmare. He heard some murmurs.
He looked to his side, seeing a woman with raven-black hair talking to a pale faced boy. "argh" he made a small growl. Hearing him the woman turned her head to look at him. She came close to his bed while talking.
"Ah, you're also awake. It's been a while since I picked up two sleepers at the same place. Since you're awake – welcome back to the land of the living. Congratulations on surviving your First Nightmare, Sleeper Noir."
Saying that, she started removing the restrains on the bed. Eventually all the restraints were removed.
"I am an ascended Jet. You can call me Master Jet. These past three days, I was on watch duty due to you and the boy over there's Nightmare." She said pointing towards the boy sitting on the other side of the bed in the vault.
Noir looked at him and saw the boy also looking at him. Both of them looked at each other before eventually being sent to clean up by Master Jet.

After taking a bath he got out wearing a clean police issued tracksuit. While heading to the cafeteria he bumped into the boy again. "Hello, my name is Noir. It is an unusual name but please deal with it, after all I can't change it even if I want to." He introduced himself and said things that might sound rude but what can the boy in front of him do?
The boy in front of him smiled "Sunless, you can also call me Sunny. Don't worry; you're not the only one here with an unusual name."
Both of them then didn't say anything on their way to the cafeteria. Master Jet was waiting for them with three trays full of steaming synthetic food in front of her.
"Help yourselves."
Sunny and Noir looked at the cheap gruel. None of them said anything and started eating in silence. While eating he used his attractive skill on her and sunny without worry since the system already confirmed that he can use it on him.
'You know what, given the situation this should be the moment for her to ask--'
"What are you guys thinking?"
Noir was calm but Sunny on his side choked on the gruel. After a couple of seconds he said "I was thinking that it would be a perfect moment for you to ask me about what I am thinking." He finally said.
Jet gave him a weird look. Then she looked at Noir and asked "What about you?"
Noir finished eating and said "Nothing, just thinking among all awakens and masters I saw from afar, you are indeed quite beautiful." He said truthfully since he already used his skill on her.
Jet didn't say anything but Noir could notice a slight blush on her face. "argh, are you guys finished with your food?"
Noir and Sunny nodded at the same time.
"Then I'll begin. As per protocol, I am obligated to inform you of a few things. It is mostly a formality. First of all, concerning your Nightmare…"
She glanced at them and sighed.
"You are entitled to receive free psychological counseling. No matter what traumatic experience you have encountered, there is no shame asking for help. Your mind is as important as your body- It's only right to keep it healthy. Are you interested?"
Sunny shook his head first and Noir followed. Jet shrugged and continued:
"As you wish. You can also talk to me. Was it very hard?"
Noir answered first "At first it was very difficult but as I proceeded through them it only became more and more confusing and difficult."
She nodded, then looked at the sun. After listening to sunny's she nodded, satisfied with their explanations.
After some more talking, Jet said "I've read both of your files, so the next steps don't apply to any of you. The only thing left is to decide how you will prepare for your first journey into the Dream Realm."
She looked at her communicator and grimaced.
"I must say, both of your luck is exceptionally bad. Winter solstice is only a month away, not enough time for you to prepare. You can do whatever you want but I will advise against it. As a sleeper, you are entitled to enroll in the awakened academy.
"You will be provided with food, lodgings and a wide choice of preparatory classes. You won't be able to learn a lot, but it is better than nothing. More importantly, you will get acquainted with most of the people who will enter the Dream Realm with you. Some might become your companion for life."
Noir didn't think anything about that since he can survive alone and won't die. He also knew what Sunny was thinking.
"So, what do you say? Do you want me to take you to the Academy?"
Noir didn't think much and just replied with "Yes". On the other hand Sunny thought for a moment before replying
"Yeah. I want to go to the Academy."

On their way to the Academy, Master Jet gave them the same instructions she gave Sunny on the original timeline. The only difference was now he was also included.
Once they reached there, she left saying a few things. There were also other sleepers with them, but only a silver haired girl caught Noir's attention.
'OMG, the protagonist of this world and the Female lead of the Novel is here. She's so beautiful.' Noir became excited for the cute moments he could witness with his own eyes.
Then the end of the metal bridge hit special groves and opened the way to the Academy. The silver haired girl without any worry walked forward and stepped on the bridge
Noir and Sunny followed behind her.
