They've given me several abilities over the years.
Elemental ones. Eye-based ones.
I can shoot lasers from my eyes. See through walls like they're made of tissue paper. It's kind of cool… if you ignore the part where I'm a prisoner strapped to a table like a science project gone wrong.
You're probably wondering why they use lightning to keep me contained.
Yeah, I wondered that too—until the day they brought in something they called a Jumper. Subhuman species, looked almost like us but… different. They can teleport. Blink through walls, vanish in one place and reappear in another like damn video game characters.
But they've got a fatal weakness.
Lightning. Thunder.
Turns out, that weakness got passed on when they spliced some Jumper DNA into me. So now, whenever I even think about phasing through these reinforced steel walls, they hit me with enough voltage to drop a kaiju.
Still, it's not all bad.
Lately, they tried giving me a metahuman's mind-reading ability. Weak, sure—but it lets me skim thoughts, grab surface-level information, even copy memories if I concentrate hard enough. It's like hacking a brain without plugging in.
Using that—and my wall-vision—I've figured out a lot.
I'm deep underground. Some kind of private military bunker. Heavily guarded. Steel corridors, multiple checkpoints, and red-lit security cameras that think they're smarter than me.
But the guards? They're sloppy.
They think I'm just some lab freak, cooked too many times to be a threat. Idiots don't realize that every time they walk past, I'm watching. Copying. Learning their moves, their combat stances, their patterns.
I'm not just adapting anymore.
I'm evolving.
And I've got a plan.
The next experiment is in two days. They always loosen my restraints for blood samples and physical testing. That's when I make my move.
I'm gonna break out of this hellhole.
I'm going to burn this place down.
And when I find the bastards who thought they could lock me up like a dog, experiment on me like I'm nothing?
I'm going to kill every last one of them.
