Hiiiiiii
I am so excited to be here. This is my first YouTube Video and I'm so thrilled to be doing this because it's all I've ever dreamt of.
This is my coming out video.
Everyone in my family says it's a bad idea. They all think that humans are evil but I'm determined to prove them wrong.
I'll get just get straight to it.
My name is Yaa Bosomtwe I, daughter of the Willowy power that moves through the ocean.
Born of the somber waters that gave birth to life
Chosen by the moon and the constellations in the sky.
On the day I was born it caused a ripple that tore through Asaase Yaa's bowels and split the lands into continents.
They call me the ravenous Siren of the South.
The name that precedes me is that of my mother's. You must know her:
The people of Ghana call her "Maame Wata"
The people of South Africa call her "Mamlambo"
The Haitians call her "La Sirene"
The Beninois call her "Mawu-Lisa"
I call her "Ma"
Isn't this exciting?
You're actually meeting the daughter of Maame Water!
In celebration of this very special birthday, my mother has granted me the opportunity to live in earth for the next 100 years. I cannot wait to experience human culture and educate people more about the Maame Water race. There are so much misconceptions bubbling around.
Let me take you to the beginning.
Long long ago in a distant time and space, there existed two beings. After spending eons existing together in harmony and peace. The powerful being known as:
Nyankopon;
Ɔbɔadeɛ;
Anansi Kokuroko;
Odomankoma
married the powerful deity known as:
Asaase Yaa, Mother Earth
Asaase Afua, Mother Nature
Aberewa, Goddess of peace.
Together these two created the earth and from it sprung life.
Nyankopon created the sun and with his sister the moon. He created their cousins, the stars and then formed day and night.
Asaase Yaa took a piece of her heart and pushed it into the earth. From it sprung trees of every shape, style and form.
Ɔbɔadeɛ banged his fists into the earth from which sprang cracks of different sizes all through the land.
Asaase Yaa cried tears of joy as she gazed at their creation. Her tears filled the cracks and from it sprung oceans, rivers, lakes and springs.
The earth teemed with life. Soon it was full different sorts of animals. Every sound from a chirp to an elephant's trumpet was heard.
Ɔbɔadeɛ and Asaase Yaa's love brought forth four children: Bia, Epo, Bosomtwe and Tano. They decided to expand their domain and created another plane for their children to rule over the abosom. This realm was called the Asoro.
*squeals in delight*
Thank you all for watching my video. I hope I see you in the next one.
