The force of the explosion blew Ivan away. It could be said that it was a miracle that he was still alive after being at the centre of the explosion. Possessing Black Riot had enhanced his physique, making him invulnerable to some attacks, like the explosion he just survived.
Ivan rolled and descended helplessly in a parabolic trajectory. Black Riot was already somewhere underwater on the street. He was a few seconds from crashing onto the river on the street. He felt that the impending crash would be painful, and he wished that he had a flying sword that would lift him away from crashing.
Black Riot flew out of the river and met Ivan midair, lifting him from an impending crash. Ivan lay on his belly on the sword's flat surface. He thanked his luck, relieved that he didn't crash into the water. He shifted his focus back to the aliens attacking humanity.
There were still bomber crafts rampaging in the vicinity. Ivan locked onto one of the bomber crafts, and the sword pursued his desired target. Ivan and the sword crashed into the target bomber craft's cockpit. The cockpit had room just for one passenger to sit and operate; hence, Ivan crashing into the cockpit was a direct assault on the pilot. The assault knocked the pilot unconscious.
Fortunately, the bomber craft's autopilot kicked in, and the aircraft maintained a flying trajectory.
Intruder detected. Intruder detected. Self-destruct initiated. Self-destruct initiated.
The bomber craft's artificial intelligence assistant had detected Ivan's presence and sought to purge him. The artificial assistant didn't make the aircraft explode midair; instead, it controlled the aircraft to nosedive towards the street below. The intention was to crash the aircraft on the street, destroying the aircraft and causing an explosion that would claim a lot of human lives.
Ivan wriggled his body and adjusted himself in the cockpit. He chopped off the Und's head and threw the corpse out of the cockpit. He had an idea of how to stop the bomber craft, and that was to replicate one of Merlin_13's popular skills, Volcanic Sword Stab.
The Volcanic Sword Stab could cause an explosive eruption when Black Riot was stabbed into any surface. He hesitated a bit because he was trying to ready his body and mind to accept the pain from another explosion.
"Haayah!" Ivan stabbed the sword into the cockpit's floor.
BOOM! The bombercraft was blown to bits up high. A strong vibration force was only transmitted to the street below.

Ivan saw 4 info bars from his system pop up in his vision. He didn't have time to understand what was written in the info bar. The only thing he understood was that he had slain 1 Und. Ivan was standing on his flying sword. He was quick to control the sword to lift away from his forced propulsion by the explosion.
The other two bomber crafts noticed Ivan on his flying sword. It was common sense for anyone to know that he was special. The bomber crafts sought to deal with Ivan before continuing their rampage on the area below.
Ivan was glad that the two jets decided to come for him at once, and they came in the direction. He had a move he wanted to try out: Merlin_13's one thousand sword light skill. Ivan held the sword before his face with the tip of the blade above his head. In one popular video some time ago, this was how Merlin_13 had demonstrated the one thousand sword light skill. Then, Ivan pointed the tip of the blade forward.
A thousand sword lights condensed around Ivan, and suddenly, they blinked. The incoming bomber crafts were reduced to shreds followed by a violent explosion. Ivan was far from the explosion, so he didn't suffer a heavy hit. A strong wind blew on him.

BRRRGH! A bullet tore through Ivan's left thigh. He shrieked and fell off his flying sword. Having lost the command to levitate, Black Riot also fell towards the ground. A carrier craft had opened fire from a distance at Ivan. Just like the last two bomber crafts, the pilots had identified that Ivan was special, so they had to eliminate him to avoid unnecessary problems.
The carrier craft was carrying Und infantry in its cabin. It was going to drop them off on the streets below. So far, the defence system of Section 2 had failed to mount a strong resistance against the invasive Unds forces.
The wound on Ivan's thigh stopped bleeding in under 3 seconds, but the pain didn't subside. He managed to stabilise his emotions midair. He had the will to summon his sword, and the sword came to him and got under his feet.
"Let's go punish those aliens."
Ivan flew the carrier craft.
The two pilots who flew the carrier craft saw an incoming object on their radar. They turned to their imaging radar and saw the human they had just "cleared" coming at them. The pilots exchanged a look. They were sure the human was not a B-rank or above B-rank, but they were confused about how the human had survived the shooting. The injury was supposed to cause the human to bleed to death within 5 seconds.
The carrier craft's pilots controlled two machine guns on the aircraft. They aimed and fired at Ivan.
Brave man's shield. Ivan unleashed a defensive sword spell to protect himself. A sword projection appeared before him. The projection was four times his size in height and width. The attacking bullets bounced away on the surface of the projection.
One of the pilots abandoned the machine gun and went for the missiles.
The projection shattered under the mighty explosive force of the missile crashing onto it. The force knocked away Ivan. Ivan didn't lose his focus as he helplessly rolled away. He cast sword projection around him to protect him from further attacks.
More missile attacks came, but the projections protected Ivan from harm.
