After receiving the information from this spatial core, Wang Cheng was left speechless.
This was a Primal Core, very similar to that of the Golden-Horned Beast. However, unlike the Golden-Horned Beast's core, his resembled a Life Core—something typically only found in Domain Lord-level beings.
Because the surface of the core lacked complex innate rune patterns, it only gave Wang Cheng an affinity with space laws, without any inherent secret techniques.
As for the mysterious gray energy inside the core space, Wang Cheng didn't know what it was. But he was sure that the formation of the core was closely related to this energy.
Once he finished receiving the information, he was finally able to regain control over his Primal Core.
He then manipulated the core to move freely inside his body. It immediately left his sea of consciousness and began drifting within his body at will.
Though the core didn't seem useful for now, it was the most suitable assistive tool for his current situation.
While moving the core, Wang Cheng soon located the slave chip embedded in his brain—a picometer-level consciousness controller.
He wasn't sure if the slave chip had other functions. It's not like he ever wanted the thing lodged in his head to begin with.
But now, with the protection of his Primal Core, his brain was no longer his weak spot.
So even though he knew the chip's exact location, Wang Cheng didn't act rashly.
After all, if he tried to remove it and triggered detection from the planet's AI system, it would do more harm than good.
Now, Wang Cheng could confirm that his cheat ability was tied to something within the mysterious gray energy.
As for what it did exactly, he had no way to tell—only time would reveal its true value.
After becoming familiar with his core, Wang Cheng's consciousness returned to his body. He instantly became aware of his physical self again.
He raised his wrist and checked his watch—it had been nearly a full day.
His parents on this slave planet were likely returning home soon.
Even though the planet's people were slaves, they still had to work until they were "shipped as goods."
Without some kind of functioning society, extinction would be their only future.
This planet also had virtual space, and it was much more advanced than the War God Palace back on Earth.
It even included Trial Tower features and virtual MMORPG functions, comparable to Babata's virtual combat systems—though still leagues below the Virtual Universe.
But Wang Cheng never dared to log in before. He wasn't sure if the AI in the virtual system could detect his abnormalities.
Whether dissected as a test subject or implanted with a higher-grade slave chip, either outcome was unacceptable.
While his Primal Core wasn't comparable to a Golden-Horned Beast's, it retained its basic functions, most importantly:
Its internal space could be used for storage, even better than space rings.
Inside his core space was a landmass about one kilometer in diameter. It could even store living creatures—a miniature world ring.
Of course, how to make full use of this space would take time and exploration. But for now, he was curious about something else:
What was his current strength level?
In a flash, Wang Cheng sprang up from the floor. Taking a single step forward, he launched a powerful cannon punch at the testing machine.
Boom!
Beep-beep!
"2789!"
Wang Cheng nodded slightly at the number on the display.
"Guess this is the power of an eighth-grade human bloodline. Not particularly talented, but still above Earth's genius standard. And I didn't even use my full strength. One more try."
With fists flashing, the machine beeped repeatedly.
Boom boom...
Beep-beep...
"2836, 2799, 2858, 2889, 2860, 2861..."
"Beep—Average: 2856!"
After a dozen punches, he stopped and looked at the average displayed.
"So this is my true strength now. An increase of nearly 1900 since before the breakthrough. I've skipped Apprentice Level 1, and even among Level 2s, I'm above average."
"Oh right, I also have telekinesis!"
As he focused, a short training sword on the weapon rack began to tremble. It slowly rose into the air, then spun around Wang Cheng, increasing in speed.
"Go!"
Bang!
Beep-beep!
Clatter!
"6789!"
After hurling the sword into the test device with mental force, Wang Cheng watched the number appear and sighed.
"As expected, my mental talent is only at the high warrior level. Normally, a mental user's power should be two levels above physical strength. If I had better talent, I'd be at Apprentice Level 4, not just Level 3."
Even though a little disappointed, Wang Cheng was still satisfied.
His telekinetic abilities alone significantly reduced his vulnerability on the ground. Flying capability alone gave him a major advantage.
Though growth would be hard without manuals, for now it was enough.
Staring at the test device, Wang Cheng suddenly used a Flying Dragon's Claw, forming a fist mid-reach and slamming it down.
Boom!
Beep-beep!
"5712!"
Pulling back his fist, he stared at the number, feeling a flicker of excitement.
"These Basic Warrior 256 Techniques really do double your strength when mastered. Looks like I can apply for Tier 2 moves now."
With his current strength, he could probably handle Tier 3 techniques too—but he wasn't in a hurry to reveal his power.
He didn't value the training itself as much as the force-exertion techniques hidden in the moves.
With his bloodline, as long as he didn't slack, he'd eventually reach peak apprentice level. The Primal Core had also paved the way for reaching Domain Lord level.
Now that he had a clearer understanding of his abilities, a strange odor drifted past his nose.
Only then did Wang Cheng realize the energy absorption had flushed his body—a sort of marrow-cleansing.
He turned on the room's exhaust system and went to take a hot shower.
After tossing his clothes into the dry-cleaner and setting it to auto-wash, he picked up a virtual helmet and placed it on his head.
With a flash, his consciousness entered a virtual room.
"Even though this isn't my first time logging in, it still feels amazing every time. This is real virtual tech—not that clunky VR garbage from my past life."
The room before him was filled with virtual buttons offering various functions.
Wang Cheng ignored the others and tapped "Skill Assessment Application."
The buttons disappeared, and a door appeared on the wall.
He opened it and stepped through.
The scene changed instantly, and he found himself in a vast training arena where a burly, rugged figure stood waiting.
