Nolan landed softly on the front porch, his eyes scanning the sky as the familiar ping of his system echoed in his mind. The promise he had made to the system had now started to fulfill itself. New cards, new brothers—each one bringing their own strength, their own aura.
The air around the house felt heavier as he prepared to summon the latest arrivals.
Inside, the house was filled with the usual activity—Mark was sitting on the couch, a look of exasperation on his face as he played on his phone. Naruto was bouncing off the walls, excited about the idea of having more siblings, while Sasuke and Itachi were calmly discussing something by the window. Battle Beast, ever vigilant, stood by the door, his gaze sharp.
Nolan glanced toward the kitchen where Gebbie was preparing dinner, her back turned as she hummed to herself, completely unaware of the new arrivals about to join the household.
With a deep breath, Nolan focused. The system had given him what he needed: Kamui Obito from the War Arc, with his Rinnegan active in one eye, and Nagato (Pain), revived through Edo Tensei. Both would now be summoned to join his rapidly expanding family.
"Here we go," Nolan muttered to himself, then he activated the summoning.
A burst of light erupted from the ground in front of him, and moments later, Obito Uchiha, with his Rinnegan glowing ominously, and Nagato in his Edo Tensei state, appeared in the living room.
Mark froze. "You're kidding me," he grumbled. "Another one? How many brothers am I gonna get?"
Naruto, not one to shy away from new faces, immediately rushed forward. "Hello, Big Brother Obito! Big Brother Nagato!" he cheered with his usual enthusiasm. His excitement filled the room as he eagerly bounced up and down.
Nagato looked down at Naruto, a faint, almost unreadable expression on his face. "Another energetic one," he muttered, though he couldn't help but feel a sense of calm around Naruto's boundless energy.
Obito, adjusting his posture, seemed to take it in stride. "Looks like this place is getting crowded," he remarked with a smirk, his eyes scanning the group. Despite his past and the weight of his history, something about this group felt oddly familiar to him.
Battle Beast, who had been standing off to the side, took one look at the two new arrivals and let out a low growl. "So, more warriors in the family. Stronger than the last batch?"
Nolan glanced at him, shaking his head. "They're not here to fight right now. They're family."
Battle Beast grunted, his eyes narrowing as he observed the newcomers. He wasn't easily impressed, but the presence of those two felt different. "We'll see," he muttered under his breath.
Meanwhile, Sasuke and Itachi exchanged glances. Sasuke tilted his head, his sharp eyes assessing Obito and Nagato. "So these are the new guys?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Looks like it," Itachi replied softly, his gaze lingering on Nagato. "We'll have to see what they're capable of."
As the newcomers got their bearings, Gebbie appeared from the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron. She froze in the doorway, eyes widening as she took in the sight of Obito and Nagato.
"Another two?" she said with a tired sigh but a smile on her face. "I can't keep up with all these boys."
Nolan chuckled. "Welcome to the family," he said to Gebbie before turning to the new arrivals. "Everyone, this is Obito and Nagato. They'll be staying here."
Mark, who had been silently observing the interactions, shook his head. "I can't believe this," he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "And how did this happen?"
"Long story," Nolan replied with a grin. "But trust me, they're family now."
Obito's expression softened as he looked at Mark. "I know it might be strange, but things work out in ways we can't always predict."
Before the conversation could continue, Mark suddenly perked up. "Wait a minute." He pointed at Obito. "Your eyes... they're like Sasuke's, but different. What are those?"
Obito smirked slightly, revealing the Rinnegan in his left eye. "You could say they're a version of the Sharingan, but evolved."
Naruto, always fascinated by eyes and powers, jumped up. "Whoa! That's so cool! I want to learn how to do that!"
Sasuke, still standing off to the side, finally spoke up. "We'll see," he said, his tone guarded but intrigued. "It's not just about having powerful eyes; it's about how you use them."
The doorbell rang, and Gebbie, looking slightly overwhelmed but still with a smile on her face, walked toward the door. "I'll get it," she said as she opened the door to find a delivery of food.
Back in the living room, Mark sighed, looking at Nolan. "So, another two brothers, huh? I don't even know how to handle all this."
"They're not so bad," Nolan replied with a shrug. "Just think of them as... new family. But if it gets too crowded, we can always get a bigger house."
Mark gave his father a flat look. "Yeah, sure, why not? A mansion full of your... family."
"Exactly!" Nolan said with a grin, knowing that Mark was trying to adjust to the absurdity of it all.
As the dinner was being set on the table, the entire group sat down, now complete with new faces and new personalities to adapt to. Battle Beast, Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Minato, Kakashi, and the others all began to fill their plates. Even Obito and Nagato, still adjusting to the idea of being part of this family, couldn't help but feel a certain sense of warmth.
"Thank you for this," Obito said to Gebbie, who had prepared an elaborate meal for everyone. "I didn't expect a welcome like this."
"You're part of the family now," she said with a soft smile. "Besides, it's more fun this way."
As the meal continued, laughter and conversation filled the room. Mark, despite his earlier grumbling, couldn't help but feel a little better. He had his brothers—many brothers—and in some strange way, they were family. Even if it was the strangest family he could have imagined.
In the back of his mind, however, Mark knew the peace wouldn't last forever. The Viltrumites were out there, and things were only going to get more complicated from here.
But for now, he allowed himself to enjoy the moment—the calm before the storm.
