The World of the Godslayer, in the Mountains
In the secluded mountain realm, where silence reigned supreme, a peerless beauty knelt gracefully on the ground. Clad in a flowing white kimono, her jet-black hair shimmered like silk under the soft light. Her expression, usually serene and composed, now flickered with rare surprise.
"Chat group? Other Worlds? These people... know of me?"
She glanced through the strange interface before her, reading the nicknames listed one by one:
The Nobles of the World, the Queen of Ice, the Ninja, the God of Death, the Magician...
"There's even a memory file titled The Godslayer..."
A quiet pause.
"I'm only a supporting character in an anime? Not even the protagonist?"
She laughed lightly, the sound crisp and chilling.
"How amusing."
After Daemon joined the chat group, Yamamoto Mei had thoughtfully pinned a group announcement with basic information to help new members settle in. Luo Hao was the first to benefit from this.
Her crimson eyes gleamed as she scrolled through the original plot of The Godslayer. Waves of exhilaration and anticipation surged within her, magic bubbling just beneath her flawless skin.
As the oldest living Godslayer—over 200 years old—Luo Hao had long reached the peak of her strength. She stood at a plateau she had been unable to surpass for decades. Her path forward had vanished. She could see the end of her journey, cold and clear.
Until now.
"I never imagined such an opportunity would present itself."
Then again—she smirked.
"It is only fitting. A Godslayer is a 'King' after all. And a King deserves all the fortunes of the world."
She accepted the chat group's existence with surprising ease, then noticed her name highlighted—Daemon had tagged her.
"Daemon Saint. A world noble from the One Piece world?"
She committed the name to memory, then spoke in the chat for the first time.
Luo Hao: "Indeed, I am Luo Hao, the Godslayer."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Uh... Godslayer? That's... unexpectedly chuunibyou."
Miyuki Uchiha: "It's normal. Anime often leans into chuunibyou, but Luo Hao is no pretender. She has slain gods. In her world, Godslayers are also called 'Demon Kings.'"
Miyuki Uchiha: "She's arrogant and ruthless. A tyrant in every sense."
Sakura Tosaka: "... Tyrant?! Scary!!"
Esdeath: "Godslayer? So this is the world you mentioned when Daemon obtained the 'Hand of Hermes.' Sounds promising."
Esdeath: "Excellent. I intend to slay a god myself one day. I imagine the experience will be... delightful."
Luo Hao: "Ice Queen, is it? You're welcome to try. But if you fall in this world, I won't mourn or avenge you."
Esdeath: "Hmph. If I fall, it means I wasn't worthy. I accept that fate."
Yamamoto Mei: "Alright, everyone's acquainted! Let's all get along as friends in the chat group from now on!"
Yamamoto Mei: "Let's also check out the new chat group features. They seem important."
Yamamoto Mei: "@Luo Hao, don't forget your newcomer reward. Everyone gets one."
Luo Hao raised an eyebrow. "A reward for joining?"
She glanced at the announcement and, sure enough, her profile had an unclaimed newcomer gift. Reading the list of past rewards others had received, she immediately grasped the group's culture: transparency about their gains.
"The Authority of the God of War… Perfect Goddess Training System… Heroic Spirit Embodiment and Infinite Mana… Time Stop…"
She found it amusing, but not particularly envious.
After all, she was a Godslayer. Her seized powers rivaled the divine. Why would she covet the gifts of others?
But then she saw Daemon's reward: the "Hand of Hermes" and two treasures with astonishing potential. Her expression subtly shifted.
"A power comparable to the Authority of a Godslayer, and he didn't even need to kill a god?"
The One Piece world was far less powerful than her own, yet Daemon had used this artifact to forge strength rivaling her own—perhaps even greater in potential.
"Impressive. This chat group is no ordinary gathering."
She spoke silently in her heart: "Claim reward."
[Reward Claimed Successfully]
[Obtained: Enhancement Furnace]
"Huh?"
She blinked. A brief pause. Then her expression darkened.
Meanwhile, in the chat group, Daemon and the others had discovered two new features:
1. Red Envelope System
Like a digital gift, members could send items (excluding living beings) to others in the form of red envelopes.
2. Mission System
Tasks would be issued based on members' worlds. However, the conditions for triggering a mission and the rewards remained unknown.
Yamamoto Mei: "This mission system might be the key to traveling between worlds. But we'll have to wait for one to appear to understand it fully."
Miyuki Uchiha: "Hooray! Finally, a chance to explore other worlds!"
Sakura Tosaka: "That tone… Sis Miyuki, you sound like my mom when she's planning something dangerous..."
Esdeath: "Exciting! After being strengthened by the God of War's power, I've outgrown the world of Akame ga Kill. I need stronger prey."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Yeah, not my thing. I'll stay back and write, but don't forget to livestream your travels. Great material!"
Miyuki Uchiha: "Count on it, senpai!"
Miyuki Uchiha: "What about Luo Hao? She must've claimed her reward by now."
Luo Hao: "Picture."
True to her word, Luo Hao posted a screenshot of her reward:
Enhancement Furnace
Allows you to strengthen abilities, bloodlines, items, and equipment for yourself or others.
A successful enhancement increases the target's level and effect.
Failure results in permanent damage to the target.
Can be used infinitely.
Miyuki Uchiha: "Ah... that..."
Sakura Tosaka: "Doesn't sound great?"
Esdeath: "Actually, infinite enhancement sounds powerful—if you're lucky."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Pfft—wait, isn't this just the 'enhancement system' from those pay-to-win online games?"
Yamamoto Mei: "Exactly. Even the permanent damage on failure is still there. Classic gold-sink mechanics. Whoever designed this was… cruel."
Miyuki Uchiha: "@Luo Hao, headpats for you. Don't be too sad. Who knows, maybe your luck will break the system?"
