Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Shattering The Crystal Ball!

At that moment, Su Yuntao finally snapped out of his daze. Glancing at Qian Yu, he realized there was still one child left to be tested.

He nodded and looked back at Tang San, saying, "Innate full Soul Power—such a rare talent only appears once in a hundred years. What a pity... it ended up paired with a useless Martial Soul. Even if your Martial Soul were just a farming tool, it would be better than Blue Silver Grass. In that case, I might've been able to..."

"Alright, next!" Su Yuntao turned toward Qian Yu. The others followed suit, all eyes landing on the last boy.

The children knew Qian Yu had been brought back to the village by Old Jack, but ever since his arrival, no one had been able to get close to him.

He was always quiet, aloof, and distant—not at all like a normal child. His cold demeanor and mature behavior made the others wary, even fearful.

Now, they watched him with curiosity, wondering what kind of Martial Soul he would awaken.

Tang San also looked on with interest. He, too, wanted to know what Martial Soul this mysterious outsider would reveal.

Calmly, Qian Yu stepped forward. Su Yuntao's eyes focused on him. In truth, Qian Yu had already awakened his Martial Souls long ago—ten in total.

He was only here today to officially participate in the ceremony and secure a place as a work-study student at the Junior Soul Master Academy.

As he stepped into the circle of light, Qian Yu pondered which of his Martial Souls to reveal.

Given the setting—a small village—he decided to stay low-key. Let's go with a relatively ordinary one, he thought.

With that, a soft glow appeared on his right hand as a delicate purple begonia flower slowly bloomed into existence.

Martial Soul: Netherworld Begonia!

Though it seemed simple, this Martial Soul was far from weak. In one of his past lives, Qian Yu had become the feared God of Death using this very power.

The Netherworld Begonia possessed two core abilities: death and healing.

The Netherworld Power emitted silent, deadly energy ideal for assassination, while Begonia Power channeled vitality to heal both himself and others.

Though it looked like an unassuming flower, it was even stronger than some of his elemental Martial Souls.

As the Martial Soul emerged, radiant purple light swirled around the begonia, illuminating the entire hall with an ethereal glow.

"What is that…?"

"Is that Qian Yu's Martial Soul?

Why is it giving off such a powerful light?"

"What exactly is that Martial Soul?"

Su Yuntao stared at the flower in stunned silence. The brilliance of the light told him it was powerful, yet he had never seen anything like it. His mind raced.

How could this be? This light… it's far too intense. Could it be the legendary Nine Heart Begonia? But… that's supposed to be red, not purple.

Is it a mutated version?

Just who is this child?

Qian Yu calmly observed the scene.

He had tried to keep a low profile, choosing what he thought was his least eye-catching Martial Soul, yet it had still caused a stir. If he had revealed his Frost, Blazing Fire, or Hurricane Martial Souls, he might've blown the roof off.

Still stunned, Su Yuntao watched as Qian Yu withdrew the flower and asked in an even tone, "So, how is my Martial Soul?"

Shaken, Su Yuntao responded uncertainty, "Y-your Martial Soul… could it be a variant of the Nine Heart Begonia? If you also have Soul Power, then maybe… you might become a Support-Type Soul Master in the future."

He wasn't sure himself, so he gave a vague reply. Quickly, he added, "Let's check your Soul Power. If you have any, you'll be eligible to enter the Junior Soul Master Academy."

Qian Yu simply nodded and stepped forward. Su Yuntao produced a blue crystal sphere and placed it before him. Calmly, Qian Yu laid his hand on the orb.

The moment his palm touched it, a powerful suction force emerged from the crystal, drawing in his Soul Power as if it had a will of its own.

The blue crystal lit up at once. A radiant blue glow spread across its surface in an instant, dazzling and beautiful like a gemstone. A faint halo pulsed outward, mesmerizing everyone.

In standard tests, even a faint flicker of light indicated Soul Power. But the brilliance now pouring from the crystal was overwhelming.

Su Yuntao stared in disbelief. Could it be… another innate full Soul Power? But the glow didn't stop—it intensified.

Crack—

Thin lines speared across the surface of the crystal ball.

Boom—

A loud bang echoed through the hall as the crystal ball shattered into countless shards.

Su Yuntao was speechless, completely dumbfounded. The light alone had been stunning, but to shatter the testing crystal. That went beyond anything he had ever imagined.

This… this isn't just innate full Soul Power. This is above it! Could this be… the legendary level twenty innate Soul Power?

A genius among geniuses—someone only spoken of in legends. Su Yuntao stared at Qian Yu as though he had seen a ghost.

The others in the hall were equally stunned. The children stood in silence, unable to process what they had just witnessed.

Even Tang San was frozen in place, his mind blank. Just moments ago, his own innate full Soul Power had left Su Yuntao speechless. Yet Qian Yu had somehow surpassed even that.

But… wasn't innate full Soul Power supposed to be the maximum?

Tang San's expression was filled with disbelief.

The loud explosion had startled people outside. Old Jack turned urgently toward the Spirit Hall, confused and alarmed.

Curious villagers began to gather outside, wanting to know what had happened.

Even in the blacksmith shop down the road, Tang Hao paused mid-drink, a rare flicker of emotion flashing through his eyes.

He turned toward the direction of the Spirit Hall, a look of astonishment slowly spreading across his face.
