Shirou emiya was currently kneeling on the ground exhausted after his fight with the king of heroes gilgamesh, the man who posessed every treasure in the world was undoubtly the strongest servant who he could only counter by unleashing the full might of his reality marble, the forbidden magecraft that is the closest thing there is to the level of true magic.
Unfortunetly, it seemed that he had run out of mana and was totally tired and unable to move after the long battle. Though, much to his satisfaction, it would appear that he was able to tear gilgamesh's arm and make him exhaust most of his mana, so even if the king of heroes was about to kill him, the man would dissapear from the world leaving it safe or saber would kill him easily.

Gilgamesh: damn you faker, you ruined my plans for humanity, victory is yours, die with that satisfaction faker.
A golden portal openned and a sword aimed at him emerged, shirou closed his eyes remembering the last words his father and he spoke to each other.
Shirou: (kiritsuga did I become a hero of justice ?).
Just as gilgamesh was about to fire his weapon a rift appeared and swallowed the king of heroes.
Gilgamesh: does this abonomation not know that a servant can't become it's core.
The king of heroes was swallowed by the vortex that seemed to be attracting everything like a black hole, shirou struggled not to be swallowed when chains came out of it and bound him. The king of heroes voice came out of it.
Gilgamesh: faker, stay where you are until I get out.
In that second, shirou made his choice, it was either him or the world. In that moment he stopped struggling and was consumed by the vortex that dissapeared after it swallowed him. He had a single last thought before dying.
Shirou: (saber, rin, I am so sorry).
Moments later, counter guardian emiya appeared.
Emiya: (shit I was too late, better to vanish now before rin comes ).
With shirou
Shirou did not know where he was, all he knew was that he allowed the grail to take him and now he was in a dark place floating, he was unable to see the king of heroes which to him was a blessing, soon he grew too tired and passed out.
Unknown to shirou, a very powerful and primodial being was watching him, the being was very intrested, here was a broken boy, a simple third rate magi who chose to sacrafice himself to save humanity against the very first king of mankind, he began to think what he should do, he did not want the boy with such potential to die, oh no, he was too entertaining and special. The being was no god or human, he was something that preceded all creation, it liked to call itself balance.
Balance: so what do I do with you?
Looking at shirou.
Balance: oh I know, you always wanted to be a hero young one and always had a spark to save humans and help them but will that spark last in the face of immortality? Though I do think a small change is in order call it a gift from me.
The being engulfed shirou in light and soon sent it through a vortex.
Balance: now, should I call ebon and peter to watch, ebon would like watching this and peter does need a break from his wives.
In shirou's mind
Establishing connection to the throne of heroes....error error..subject mind unable to compute... identifying problem.....waiting.... Problem found...host's human mind unable to handle strain....finding solution..... please wait...solution found...procede with merge.
With shirou
Shirou woke up with a groan, he looked around and found himself in a forge? What was he doing here.. soon a barage of memories hit him like a train, he was hephaestus the god of blacksmiths, he was married to aphrodite, he was thrown out of olympus after he was born, gods and goddesses looked at him with disgust with the exception of a few, betrayal after betrayal he suffered from his wife who kept cheating on him while he tried to make her fall in love with him, the joy he felt when her fall in love with him, the joy he felt when harmonia was born, how he showered her with gifts and love, how he took care of her and played with her and protected her from lustful gods only to feel despair and dejection when he heard she was the daughter of his brother ares, what was worse is he heard it from his wife when he returned to his palace and overheard her telling this to ares while she was fucking him in his own bed. How he then came here and began drinking himself till he passed out wishing to die.
Shirou after digesting all those memories could only do one thing....pass out.
Unknown to shirou some beings took notice of a change in destiny, they did not know the reason for it but would simply observe it though they were quite puzzled at something.
Fates: why did hephaestus gain the domains of heroes, cooking and motherhood?
5 hours later
Shirou woke up and thought he was simply dreaming only to find himself in the same forge.
Shirou: so this was not a dream, I really did merge with a god.
Shirou did not know if he should laugh or cry, the situation was unbelieavable, rin would probably laugh at him before saying something along the line of it can only happen to you shirou. Remembering rin and saber shirou almost cried, he was in another world and would probably never see them anymore, but he held hope, he was a god and he had time, surely he would find a way to cross dimensions and return to them. Determined and with a new goal shirou began to plan on what to do. After seeing hephaestus memmories whom he merged with, he knew it would be best to check his divinity, clossing his eyes, he delved into his soul and found orbs each representing different domains which he saw in the memories of the god, but what surprised him is the three new orbs, he touched them and information on them was downloaded into his mind.
It would appear that he gained three domains, heroes, cooking and motherhood. After seeing this shirou had only one thing to say.
Shirou: WHY THE HELL DID I GET MOTHERHOOD DOMAIN, I CAN UNDERSTAND COOKING AND HEROES BUT WHY MOTHERHOOD, SURE I LIKE TO COOK AND CLEAN AND DO HOUSEWORK BUT THAT DOESN'T MΑΚΕ ΜΕ A MOTHER, I AM A MAN. IS SOME KIND OF ENTITY MAKING FUN OF ΜΕ?
Sighing shirou accepted his new situation, with nothing else to do he began to experiment, he would need to practice amd see the limits of his new powers, but before that shirou traced a full body miror since he was curious on his appearence, the god of his memories wasn't handsome in the slightest and always made other stay clear of him, he wondered if the merge changed anvthing at all, when he looked in the miror he was stunned. The image that greeted him was himself only he was taller and more muscular, his eyes also seemed to have changed a bit.

He wondered what rin would say if she saw him now, he was just happy that he didn't look like that bastard archer, he hated that prick even if that bastard was a future version of him, shirou refused to acknowledge him as such.
3 months later
Shirou was doing well, it would seem that his powers came naturally to him with being a god, he also tested what his new domains could do, it would appear that he became a better cook than he was before, his motherhood domain was embaressing and made him radiate a warm and calming aura, but what got his attention the most was his hero domain, it would appear that he had a connection to the throne of heroes, how he did not know, he was never a good magus, that was rin's job so he could not explain how this happened, it would appear that he could use the powers of heroic spirits which to him was awesome, he tried to use gilgamesh's gate of babylon and laughed when it worked, he would do anything to see that bastard's face if he sees that a faker can use his treasury, he could also use his sha Naqba Imuru which allowed him to see different possibilities of the future and wondered why the golden king never used it in his battle, there was no way he would have lost if he did, shirou in the end just shrugged it off as arrogance.
Speaking of his tracing skills, he was now able to summon the original weapon of the heroes and not fake ones and mana was no longer a problem for him since it seemed that being a god he now had what seems as infinite amounts of it. He also seems to have inherited the god's love and knowledge of forging, he now loved to make swords, spears, jewels and other things as well, he even made a sword that can heal all wounds, if rin ever saw the quality of the jewels he can make she would probably faint.
He also reviewed the history of this world, it would seem that only he and ares with the other elder olympians and aphrodite have been born, so artemis, apollo, dionyus and athena have yet to be born. During this time he often thought about what he should do about aphrodite, she was a shameless goddess to him and cheated on poor hephaestus many times, shirou in truth held a large amount of pity and respect to the god who married her, being stuck with a cheating wife was a terrible thing and while shirou emiya could forgive many things he has learned that there are times when one can't forgive other people. He would also from now on only help those who cared for him, rin had instilled that lesson into his head, helping others wasn't wrong but he should only do it for those who cared for him which meant hestia, demeter, hades, poseidon and some gods and goddesses which were really few. His so called father zeus only used him, hera was disgusted and ashamed for giving birth to an ugly god, ares hated him for who know what reason, his so called wife always cheated on him, others only spoke to him when they needed him and that's it. He also acknowledged that he was now in ancient greece and not in modern times which made him sulk and build an oven and remake his forge into something more homey.
Speaking of his father, the sound of thunder came signaling a council meeting, shirou sighed and prayed everything went well.
