Chapter 1 – Arrival in Visal Kai: Kingdom of the Sky
The wind howled with magic as the forest shimmered under the pale moonlight. Floating orbs of blue light drifted lazily between the ancient trees, illuminating a trail that twisted through nature's forgotten sanctuary. The moss below glowed faintly with magical residue — this was no ordinary forest.
Suddenly, a ripple in space tore open with a hiss. Out of the portal flew two figures — one tall and broad, the other slightly shorter, leaner — tumbling through the air like laundry in a spin cycle.
THUMP!
They both crashed into the moss, dirt flying up in a small explosion. The taller one groaned dramatically.
"Ugh… nailed it," he said, lifting a hand as if expecting applause.
The shorter one sat up, rubbing his face and glaring.
"You pushed me into a space vortex, you idiot."
Big brother laughed, brushing leaves from his spiky brown hair. His cloak flapped slightly as the wind blew. His name was Rayden, a senior adventurer in the Epic Guild of Everwind. Known for his confident smirk, battle-tested armor, and deeply loyal heart.
The little brother, Kael, was… well, a bit of a grump. He didn't have magic. Not even a spark. In a world like this, that was nearly criminal. But behind his irritation, he always followed his brother — not just because Rayden dragged him around, but because deep down, he admired him.
Rayden stood up and offered a hand.
Kael took it with a sigh, grumbling, "One day, I'm gonna open the portal and toss you in."
"Ha! Looking forward to it," Rayden said with a wink. "Now brace yourself, little bro. You're about to see the heart of magic."
They turned — and there it was.
The Sky Kingdom of Visal Kai.
Built atop floating islands, the city soared above the clouds. Glittering towers reached for the heavens, connected by floating bridges. Crystal orbs danced through the air like stars, casting prismatic light across the entire kingdom. Massive rivers of glowing blue magic flowed from levitating cliffs, feeding sky-lakes and magical gardens below. The sky itself shimmered with particles — like the stars had descended to bless this kingdom.
Kael's mouth dropped open.
Rayden placed a hand on his shoulder. "Welcome to the magical capital of the world."
Kael blinked slowly. "…Is that a flying bakery?"
"Yep. Don't ask about the floating cats. They'll steal your snacks."
They walked down the enchanted path, crossing a bridge made of light vines, toward the gates of the main city. Giant golems stood guard, scanning every traveler. Each person carried a magical aura — visible in soft colors surrounding them. Most had a soft blue glow.
Kael looked down. He had… nothing. Not even a flicker.
Rayden noticed and patted his back. "Hey. Doesn't matter. Magic doesn't define strength. You're Kael. My brother. The only one who's been with me since the start."
Kael muttered, "Stop being so cheesy…"
But deep inside, his heart warmed. He hated how Rayden said things like that so easily — but also loved it. He wanted to be like him. No… stronger than him. One day.
As they entered the city, the sights overwhelmed them. Streets sparkled with runes. Shops floated on magic tiles. Students from magical academies practiced spells openly. Birds with metallic feathers delivered letters mid-flight. Nobles in flowing robes rode carriages pulled by wind spirits.
Rayden whistled. "Man, this place leveled up since my last visit."
They reached a huge notice board where a massive crowd gathered. Posters flapped in the air.
Kael squinted. "What's that?"
Rayden grinned. "Oh-ho-ho… You haven't heard? It's the Princess Contest."
Kael blinked. "The what now?"
Rayden explained dramatically, "The Princess of Visal Kai, the legendary beauty with divine magic, is holding a worldwide contest. The strongest, smartest, or noblest suitor who wins her challenges… gets her hand in marriage."
Kael choked. "Wh-What?! She's marrying a stranger?!"
Rayden shrugged. "Well, if you're a goddess of magic, might as well make it fun."
On the poster was an illustration of her: a breathtaking young woman in white robes, her eyes glowing red, unlike the blue magic users. Her aura pulsed with divine energy — God's Mana.
Kael whispered, "Is that… red magic?"
Rayden nodded, serious now. "Only three heroes in the world have it. It's not just rare. It's sacred. Most people don't even know it exists."
Kael watched as people bowed their heads just looking at the poster. Whispers around them:
"She holds the kingdom's fate in her hands."
"No demon dares near Visal Kai thanks to her."
"They say her anger can melt stone."
"She never loses. Ever."
Kael gulped.
Rayden chuckled. "So yeah… we're definitely not here to enter the contest."
Kael sighed in relief.
"We're here to deliver something to the castle. And maybe… make a name for you."
Kael froze. "Wait. What?!"
Rayden smirked. "C'mon! Let's go!"

[INT. CASTLE ENTRANCE – LATE AFTERNOON]
The castle was even more magical than the city. Floating staircases, shifting walls, talking paintings. A massive library towered in the center like a divine tree.
As they entered, Rayden began explaining the world's ranking system, pointing to murals on the walls:
"At the top," he said, "you have the Sages, Priests, and Heroes. Divine magic users. Nobles who've saved kingdoms. Then comes the Warriors, Mages, and Adventurers like me. Middle class."
He motioned to another tier: "Then Merchants, Builders, Traders — they're respected but not powerful."
"And last… are the Slaves and Non-Magic Users," he said more quietly, glancing at Kael. "People fear what they don't understand."
Kael stayed quiet.
Rayden placed a hand on his shoulder. "But we're gonna break that wall. You'll rise. Even without magic."
Kael looked away. "You talk too much…"
Rayden smiled. "That's what big brothers do."

[EXT. CASTLE BALCONY – NIGHTFALL]
As the sun dipped, the kingdom glowed under twilight. The rivers, lights, and skies danced in magic.
Kael stood silently on the balcony. His eyes fixed on the city. His heart heavy, but his chest full.
Behind him, Rayden dropped a blanket on his shoulder. "You okay?"
Kael nodded slowly. "…I want to see how far I can go."
Rayden grinned. "That's the spirit."
Kael smirked, glancing at the poster of the princess again.
"Let's see what this world has for a non-magic kid like me."
[FADE OUT.]
