The state of Atlas was divided into four sector, the fourth sector which was the home of Nathaniel and many people was connected to a island via a bridge.
It was a wooden bridge with water ever moving below it. On this previously clear night it suddenly started to rain wetting the boy walking on the bridge.
He has slightly long black hair which stopped at his neck, with two thin bangs in front of his eyes yet not obstructing his view.
"Damn it why did it suddenly start to rain". Nathaniel hurried over the bridge careful not to slip, which was easier said than done. He finally got to the other side.
Nathaniel's footsteps echoed against the cracked pavement as he walked towards the old, decaying building. The rusted gates loomed ahead, their iron bars twisted and bent with age. The air felt thick, oppressive, and Nathaniel couldn't shake the eerie sensation that crawled up his spine. The wind rustled through the dead trees surrounding the structure, and the faint creak of the building itself added to the atmosphere of isolation.
But Nathaniel wasn't scared. He had come this far, and he wasn't about to back down now. He took a deep breath and stepped through the gate, the groaning hinges squealing in protest. The building stretched out before him like a forgotten relic, its windows boarded up, doors rotting away. This place had been abandoned for years—maybe decades.
As he stepped inside, the smell of mildew and old wood filled his nostrils. Dust motes floated in the stale air, and the floor beneath his shoes creaked with every step. He fumbled with his phone, switching the camera to record. Keade would want to see everything. I need to make sure this is perfect.
"Me got me a girl". He muttered under his breath Excited about the future.
The silence of the place was oppressive, almost suffocating, but Nathaniel pressed on, his heart racing in anticipation. Just an hour, he told himself.
"Then it'll be done, and I'll have her". Finally.
But as he ventured deeper into the building, something caught his attention—loud noises, sharp, guttural sounds of grunts and the unmistakable crash of something heavy hitting the ground. Nathaniel froze, his pulse quickening. What the hell...?
He quietly moved toward the source of the noise, keeping his phone in front of him, recording as quietly as possible. The sounds were unmistakable now: two figures engaged in a vicious fight.
Demon Parasites. Nathaniel's mind clicked into overdrive. He had heard about them from his father and elder sister before—terrifying creatures that feasted on humans. But what were they doing here? And why was there a fight?
He moved cautiously, staying hidden in the shadows. The scene that unfolded before him was like something out of a nightmare.
The first demon, the larger of the two, roared and lunged forward, swinging a massive clawed fist toward its opponent. The blow was so powerful that it cracked the ground beneath it, sending debris flying in every direction. The serpent-like demon darted backward, its black wings flapping to propel it into the air, narrowly dodging the strike.
The serpent demon smirked, its eyes glowing a deep, unnatural red as it extended its long, barbed tail. The tail lashed out like a whip, striking at the first demon's exposed side. The tip of the tail was razor-sharp, leaving deep gashes in the demon's thick hide. Blood—dark and viscous—spilled onto the ground, sizzling as it made contact with the concrete.
"Not bad," the serpent demon hissed, its voice like gravel scraping over stone. "But you're too slow, too predictable."
The larger demon snarled, its eyes narrowing as it shook off the pain. With a grunt, it stomped its massive foot down, sending a shockwave through the room. The force of the impact rattled the walls, and the ground cracked open like a spider's web. The serpent demon was caught off guard, stumbling backward as the shockwave sent a wave of dust and debris flying.
The larger demon didn't give it a moment to recover. It charged forward with unnatural speed for its size, swinging its claws toward the serpent demon's throat. But just as the claws came down, the serpent demon's wings flared open, and it launched itself into the air, narrowly avoiding the deadly strike.
With a vicious screech, the serpent demon shot forward, its wings propelling it like a bullet. Its clawed hands outstretched, it aimed directly for the first demon's chest. The attack was a blur of black and red as it struck with incredible force, slamming into the demon's ribcage. The impact sent the larger demon reeling back, but its thick hide absorbed the blow, leaving only a dent where the serpent's claws had made contact.
"You'll have to do better than that," the serpent demon mocked.
The first demon, now enraged, roared. A low, guttural sound that rattled the walls of the building. Its mouth opened wide, revealing rows of jagged, shark-like teeth, and from deep within its throat, it released a pulse of dark energy. The air around them shimmered, warping with the force of the attack. A blast of shadowy, ethereal energy shot out like a cannon, slamming into the serpent demon with bone-crushing force.
The serpent demon screamed as the dark energy enveloped it, tearing into its body like acid. The flesh began to sizzle and burn, but the demon didn't relent. With a flick of its wings, it darted out of the blast zone, smoke rising from its scorched skin.
But it wasn't over. The serpent demon retaliated with its own power. It clenched its fists, summoning a swirling mass of black energy between its palms. The energy condensed into a ball of dark matter, crackling with destructive force. With a roar of defiance, the serpent demon hurled the ball at the first demon, its trajectory deadly accurate.
The explosion that followed was deafening. The room was filled with a blinding flash of light as the energy ball collided with the first demon's chest, sending it flying back and crashing into the wall. The concrete cracked and shattered as the larger demon slammed into it, leaving a massive crater in its wake.
But even after the impact, the first demon wasn't finished. It groaned, its body sagging, but it pushed itself up, its glowing red eyes narrowing in fury. "You're weak," it growled.
The serpent demon, panting from the exertion, looked down at its hands, the wounds from the first demon's claws still fresh and bleeding. Despite its best efforts, the fight was taking a toll. It was clear the battle was nearing its end. Both demons were covered in bruises and blood, their movements slowing as exhaustion took hold.
Nathaniel, his camera still rolling, could feel the weight of the fight. This wasn't just a struggle between two monsters—it was a battle of survival, a final stand between creatures that should have never existed. He couldn't help but wonder: how far would they go? How much damage would they cause before one of them finally fell?
Suddenly, the fat demon let out a strangled gasp, clutching at its chest. Nathaniel's heart skipped a beat as he realized what was happening. The fat demon's body was beginning to tremble violently, its skin turning an unnatural shade of gray as if something was poisoning it from the inside out.
The fat demon's eyes widened in realization. "You... you poisoned me."
The fat demon collapsed to its knees, its once-bright eyes now dull and lifeless. Its breathing became shallow, ragged, and its body spasmed uncontrollably as the poison spread throughout its system. Then something rolled out of it's clenched hand and rolled directly to the front of Nathaniel.
"What do you think? Am a snake, but you are not to be blame all these muscles had gotten in the way of your thinking". The snake smirked at his victory.
"Now time for my reward, Keel will be pleased". He turned only for him to see a human in the middle of picking up the sin stone. His eyes narrowed, the human looked at him for a moment then he fled he immediately gave chase but the other demon held its tail.
"Get off me, that human got the stone". But the other demon didn't relent but instead held it tighter in a crushing grip.
