As soon as Kim So-hee stepped over the threshold, she immediately heard her mother's shouting
"Where have you been?"
Her mother, Seo Ji-ran, shouted loudly and threateningly
"I'm happy to see you too, mom."
Seo Ji-ran became even more enraged
"Happy?! Where have you been?! I'M ASKING YOU!!!"
Kim So-hee didn't show any emotion at all. She just calmly replied
"Where? Where? I was hanging out with friends."
Seo Ji-ran walked up to her daughter and slapped her across the face, shouting
"Ah! So you wanted to GO OUT! And you don't need to STUDY, HUH? TELL ME! Who's going to study for you?! You're so STUPID!! You don't understand anything, you do nothing!"
Seo Ji-ran continued to yell at Kim So-hee
"Go to your ROOM!! And try not to do anything, do you UNDERSTAND me?!"
Kim So-hee looked at her mother from bottom to top and just walked away towards her room

Kim So-hee entered her room and closed the door
At Park Nuri's
"Maa! I'm home!"
As soon as her voice was heard, Park Se-rin (Park Nuri's mother) immediately came to her from the kitchen

Park Nuri walked up to her mom and hugged her
"Come to the kitchen, I've prepared dinner."
"What did you prepare?"
Asked Park Nuri while walking into the kitchen
"Your favorite omelet with bacon."
"Yay!"
Park Se-rin took the plate with the omelet and put it on the table
"Be careful, it's hot."
"Mhm."
Park Nuri replied, and at that time, Park Se-rin sat across from her
"Mom, guess what, today two boys were transferred to my class."
"And what are their names?"
"One is Jeong Tae-ho, and the other, we've known for a long time."
Park Se-rin was surprised

He entered the living room and saw only his dad
"Where's mom?"
Ho Su-min asked while having breakfast on the sofa in front of the TV
"Your mom said she's working late tonight."
"Mmm. Okay. What's for dinner?"
Ho Su-min asked cheerfully
"What else? Your mother isn't home tonight. That means we're having RAMEN AND MEAT! Haha..."
"Hahaha..."
They both started laughing, then began eating and watching TV
At Jeong Tae-ho's
Jeong Tae-ho opened the door and entered, turned on the light and said
"I'm home!"
(Exactly! Why am I even saying this?)
"Hah"
Jeong Tae-ho walked into the apartment, threw his backpack on the sofa in the living room, and went to his room
In his room, he lay on his bed and started thinking
(Why am I saying 'I'm home' when there's no one here except me... Oh well. I'll go eat)
Jeong Tae-ho went to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and saw a mouse hanging there. There wasn't even any noodles

He said and sadly closed the fridge
"I need to go to the store."
He turned around and went to the front door. He stopped right before it
"I don't want to go!! But I have to. What should I do?"
Gathering his courage, he left the apartment and went to the store
At Kim So-hee's
Kim So-hee was sitting at the table next to her bed, thinking
(I'm hungry. Maybe I'll quietly go to the kitchen and...)
Suddenly, Seo Ji-ran burst into her room
"Listen up. I'm going on a business trip for about a week. So you'll be alone. I've transferred money to your card"
Kim So-hee just nodded. Her mom left the room and then the house
