Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Oh Frank," I moaned, "do you ever cease," I whispered, throwing my head back as his tongue circled around my nipple. My fists were tangled in his fuzzy blond hair, and his hands moved down to grasp the curve of my behind.

It had become our early morning routine for the last couple of months now that he was staying with me and the twins.

I loved morning sex with Frank; in fact, I loved any sex with Frank since he was always more than happy to please me.

He wasn't quite so good when we first started dating. He didn't know precisely how to please me, but he promptly asked me to show him what I wanted, and ever since then he has been pulling an A+ response from my body every time.

Frank was on the verge of pulling my pants down when the patter of tiny feet cut into us and saw us ripping at one another as if the other's body was made up of hot red coal. I hadn't even a moment to lower my top before my two small boys burst into the room shouting.

"Mommy, Mommy, Dylan wet the bed again," Tyler yelled before jumping on the bed.

Dylan ran in behind him with a red face. "I didn't do that, Mommy. Tyler is telling a lie!" Dylan yelled back angrily. "I don't wet the bed anymore, Uncle Frank, tell them!" Dylan yelled.

My boyfriend, Frank, laughed and wrapped the outraged Dylan in his arms. "Come on, Tyler, don't play a trick on your brother like that. You know he doesn't wet the bed. Stop trying to get him in trouble."

Tyler glared and muttered under his breath, and I chuckled. This was also the habit of my twin boys: one was always pranking the other, but more often than not, they were stuck together.

"Okay, boys," I intervened in between their brawl. "Off you two, come on, school time." I cried out, and they sprinted off joyfully, anticipating getting to meet their friends again today.

I smiled at the two of them but immediately went pale when I looked at the time on my phone.

Oh no!" I exclaimed. "I'm going to be late for work, and I still haven't taken the kids to school," I grumbled.

Frank brought me closer to him and nudged a rogue strand of hair behind my ear. "Don't worry, I'll take them to school. Just go to work.".

I gazed at him in shock. "Are you sure? Didn't you have an important meeting with some multimillionaire investors today?" I asked, and Frank shrugged carelessly.

"They can wait. First and foremost is for my boys to be back in school and for my girl to be working as a doctor who saves the lives of those helpless children who worship her," he said, embracing me tightly.

I smiled at him. I adore Frank for this. He was so caring and generous, and he always put me and the boys first in his life regardless of anything. He was the complete opposite of the only other man in my life that I had ever been with, the father of my twins, Dean.

I met Frank for the first time six years ago, just after I was banished from the Crimson Pack. I had nothing, nobody, no cash. But I managed to get by in this new, foreign world somehow. I got a low-wage job and was able to pay my own way through medical school. I studied pediatrics because my only dream was to be a great mom who could protect her kids.

But then I met Frank soon after I had given birth to my twins. He came into my life like an angel. He nursed me and helped me open my own children's clinic.

Now I was a renowned pediatrician. I had rescued thousands of children's lives from death, written three bestsellers, spoke five languages, and was a happy mom. And most remarkably, I succeeded in activating my dormant wolf!

I wasn't that timid, weak Omega of the Crimson pack anymore. I had revived my wolf, and I had conditioned her to be the best fighter there could ever be. I was so grateful to be alive now, and I really couldn't ask for any better.

I owed them all this to my wonderful boyfriend Frank, who had been my rock and pillar of late. He was the only person on earth I would leave my children with.

He was the only father figure they ever knew, and likely would be the only father figure they would ever know for the rest of their lives.

I kissed Frank and I changed in a rush to dress for work. We shared a big wardrobe, and sometimes I had to move over his clothes to get mine. It was one of those moments, and while I moved over his jackets to grab one of his coats, a small box fell out from his pockets onto the ground. I picked it up carefully.

I immediately recognized what it was. It was an engagement ring box, a ring box.

I rapidly opened it and gasped upon seeing that I was right. There was the most gorgeous diamond ring I had ever seen sitting in the box. And it had just fallen out of Frank's pocket.

Was this for me? Was he trying to propose to me?

As I was thinking this, Frank came in and caught me holding the ring in my hand.

"Oh shit!" he said. "This is so not the way I wanted you to hear it," he added, pausing to stand before me.

I stood there in shocked silence staring at him and then at the ring, but Frank seemed to catch my silent question.

"Yes, Ryina," he said, "I had thought about proposing to you, but this was not the manner in which I was going to propose to you. I very much wanted to do an entire thing. There were to be balloons, we were to be standing in a field of flowers, and then there was to be a plane fly overhead with a banner that said 'Will you marry me?'"

Tears came to my eyes as he explained how he had thought of proposing to me. It was like a fairy tale.

Frank was always scheming ways to make me happy. He had already done so much for me, and he was always still scheming ways to do more for me. I was so in love with this man.

Frank took the ring out of my hands. "Now that the cat is out of the bag, I guess this will have to do for now," Frank said and knelt in front of me. "Ryina, you and the boys have been the light of my life for the last few years, and the only thing that I want to do is spend the rest of my life loving all of you.". Please, I beg you, will you have the kindness of being my wife and the happiest man on earth?

Tears were running down my face now, and I nodded quickly. "Yes, I will. A thousand times yes," I roared and swept him into my arms.

He shrieked with joy and showered kisses all over my face.

We had to spend more time celebrating our engagement, but we were compelled to part ways since I still had to report to work.

I got into my car, and was about to leave but suddenly noticed a peculiar man in black standing opposite across the road, staring directly through my house and at me.

I felt goosebumps all over my body, but I had no idea why. Something was familiar about the man, but I didn't know what.

I turned around to see if there was something particular that he was looking at. But after turning back to him, he was gone like a ghost.

It was peculiar, but I thought that I was doing it just in my imagination.

I soon drove to the office, and I was greeted by greetings from employees on both sides, who wished to have a chance to impress or just catch a glimpse of their famous, successful boss.

I greeted them all and went straight to my office. The first thing I did was check my emails for any urgent messages that I might have received.

As I was scrolling through my inbox, my finger involuntarily landed on one particular new mail. It was the name of the sender that made my blood literally freeze in my body.

The subject of the mail was: A message from the office of the Crimson Pack.

I opened the message and read:

**Dear Miss Ryina,**

We wish to offer you our congratulations as you have now been formally re-recalled back into the Crimson Pack and gifted with the ability to use your much-acclaimed skills as a pediatrician in healing and medicinally diagnosing the Alpha's sick son, the sole successor and future Crimson Pack Alpha.

Congratulations.

I read the message and read it again and again because I could not believe my eyes. Was this a joke?

Did the Crimson Pack just send congratulations to me and then instruct me to come and take care of the son whom my sister had borne for Alpha Dean, the very man who deserted and exiled me?

I laughed out loudly on my third time reading the message.

If I remember correctly, Alpha Dean had threatened to kill me if I ever appeared in the pack again, and now they were actually summoning me back there and thinking they were doing me a favor?

They must be insane, because there was no way in this world that I would ever step foot again in the Crimson Pack for any reason at all—not after the way they treated me, not after the way Dean treated me.

My blood was raging at the memory, and I deleted the message right away, not wanting to even glance

their name in my folder again.

Once I had deleted the message, I spent the day switching between tending to my patients and psyching myself up for my wedding.

I still couldn't quite believe it: I was marrying! The mere idea transported me to cloud nine, and I couldn't help but grin.

When I arrived home from work, I received a text from Frank that he had already prepared dinner, put the twins into bed, and was now patiently waiting for me to get home so he could give me a massage.

I smiled to myself as I pulled up to the driveway of my home. Sweet God, I love this man. But before I even had a chance to think this, I looked up and saw that same individual in all black staring at me and my house across the street. I tried to quickly take a picture of him, but when I went to get my phone, the man had vanished. My blood ran cold thinking about who he was and why he was following me.
