Chapter 1: Resurrection Rebooted in Sokovia
Darkness. Cold. And the unmistakable stench of scorched lab equipment and sweat. Not exactly the heavenly afterlife Adam had been hoping for—or even the fiery pits of damnation. No, this was something much worse: a Marvel origin story.
Adam's eyelids fluttered open like a confused Windows 95 loading screen. Metal walls. Flickering lights. Weird humming devices. And something that looked suspiciously like a toaster mated with a Tesseract.
"Okay, either I died and woke up in IKEA's discount dungeon, or this is some next-level escape room with a Marvel budget," he muttered, sitting up.
That's when it hit him. Not a sudden epiphany. No. A literal migraine-sized surge of electricity sparked through his nervous system.
Adam blinked. "Did… Did I just get transmigrated into a Marvel universe with a prank-based superpower system? Somewhere, the gods of comedy are giving me a standing ovation."
A faint holographic window popped up in the air in front of him. The font was Comic Sans. Of course it was.

He squinted. "So I'm basically the magical lovechild of Loki and Bugs Bunny with a budget? I'm okay with this."
Then the system dumped more exposition on his face.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me," Adam whispered, dragging himself toward the smeared, cracked mirror bolted to the lab wall. Staring back was a pale, gaunt man with a mop of black hair and faint burn marks tracing the sides of his neck like abstract tattoos. His face was still somehow weirdly handsome in that 'sad tortured guy from a CW drama' sort of way.
"I look like I cosplay brooding for fun. Great."
He staggered to his feet, glancing around at the lab equipment: shattered vials, melted wires, cracked monitors. At the center of it all? A glass chamber filled with dried blood and broken restraints.
"Trapped with the twins, huh?" Adam grinned. "Wanda Maximoff... and Pietro... I finally get to meet you two troublemakers up close. Crush fantasies and speed envy—here we come."
He tried the door. Locked, obviously. The security console was fried, as if someone had rage-punched it while mid-electric transformation.
But then came the biggest surprise of the day (besides the whole death thing).
Adam laughed. Not a nervous chuckle or confused giggle. A full-blown, snark-fueled, "Let's light this dumpster fire of fate on purpose" cackle.
"Time to weaponize glitter. Let's prank this place into submission."
