Chapter 1 - CHAPTER I - OUR ADVENT BEGINS!

The sky above Hololive High stretched wide and clear, a brilliant blue that watched over the chaos below.

The grand academy stood like a monument to brilliance—its architecture a seamless blend of sleek modern design and timeless classical charm. Cool morning air drifted through its open corridors, carrying with it the soundscape of creativity: the delicate notes of a piano from the practice rooms, the gentle strum of a guitar from the back garden, and haunting vocals echoing through the halls like spirits rehearsing for glory.

This was no ordinary school.

Hololive High School for Girls was an elite academy, dedicated to shaping the finest musical talents in the world. Its students weren't just learners—they were stars in the making, future legends of the global stage. Every year, the school produced singers, composers, instrumentalists, and producers whose names would echo in music festivals, award shows, and global charts.

But prestige came at a price.

With excellence came expectations, and Hololive High held a strict standard. Only those with undeniable talent and unwavering dedication survived. Fall behind, and the school would not hesitate to cut you loose.

And yet…

In the heart of this shining citadel of sound, five students had gained a reputation as the greatest problem the school had ever known.

ROCK ON.

Inside a dimly lit counseling room, tension hung heavy in the air. Five girls sat in silence—each one gifted beyond measure, and each one a magnet for trouble.

Shiori Novella – A gifted bassist, more obsessed with lyric writing than rehearsals.

Nerissa Ravencroft – A hypnotic vocalist, equally known for her ego and sharp tongue.

Koseki Bijou – A wild guitarist with reckless energy that often left practice rooms in ruins.

Fuwawa Abyssgard – A technically perfect keyboardist constantly bickering with her younger sister.

Mococo Abyssgard – A passionate drummer who couldn't resist challenging her sister to everything.

In front of them stood their homeroom teacher, Choco-sensei, eyes weary, expression on the verge of surrender.

"I honestly don't know what to do with you girls anymore..." she sighed, placing a thick stack of report cards on her desk. "Your academic performance is dismal. Even in music, you only excel individually—and you can't work as a team."

"Hold on," Shiori drawled, her voice lazy. "What's so wrong with writing lyrics instead of practicing scales?"

"I still sing better than half the school," Nerissa added smugly. "Why should I care?"

"We might suck at theory, but we've got instincts," Bijou grinned, unbothered.

"And I refuse to share a room with Mococo for one more minute," Fuwawa growled.

"Hey! I don't wanna be here with you either!" Mococo snapped back.

Choco-sensei closed her eyes, counting to five… then ten. Before she could say another word, the door creaked open.

Footsteps. Sharp, deliberate. The room stiffened.

A tall man stepped inside, his black suit impeccable, glasses glinting under the room's weak lighting. His presence alone silenced them.

Motoaki Tanigo. The principal of Hololive High. The founder. The architect of countless careers.

"I've read your files," he said, his voice smooth and firm. "And I'm disappointed."

The girls glanced at one another. That word stung more than any punishment.

"This school exists to nurture those with the will to become musical legends. If you can't grow—then you don't belong here."

"Wait—are you saying we're being expelled?!" Bijou gasped.

Tanigo nodded. "That's right. But... I'm not ready to throw away five rare talents."

He crossed his arms.

"So I'll give you one last chance. The five of you... will form a band."

Silence. Deafening.

"…Sorry, what?" Shiori blinked.

"You will become a band. Practice together. Write songs. Perform on the big stage. If you fail… you're out."

"You can't be serious!" Nerissa shot to her feet. "I'm not working with them!"

"Same!" Mococo barked.

"We don't even like each other!" Fuwawa groaned.

"That's your problem to solve," Tanigo said calmly. "You either make this work—or you leave."

They were quiet. Each one of them knew—this school was their last shot. Expulsion would mean the end of their dreams.

"…Hah, fine," Shiori grumbled. "Not like I have much choice."

"Don't get me wrong," Nerissa added, arms folded. "I hate this. But I won't let anyone kick me out."

"Maybe this'll be fun," Bijou shrugged with a small smirk.

"I still won't lose to Mococo!" Fuwawa declared.

"That's my line!" Mococo shouted.

Tanigo allowed himself a small, satisfied smile.

"Good. Since you've accepted, I'll name your band."

He turned to leave. But just before stepping out, he looked over his shoulder.

"From now on… you are Advent. And your presence will change this school forever."

The door closed.

The five girls sat in stunned silence.

Their lives had just taken a dramatic turn.

Their greatest challenge—and maybe their greatest opportunity—was about to begin.

The door to the counseling room clicked shut. In the hallway, the five girls stood motionless, glancing at one another with uneasy expressions.

The corridor remained lively despite the ending lunch break. Distant echoes of piano keys, plucked guitar strings, and soft drum beats floated through the air. Posters of famous bands and Hololive alumni lined the walls—testaments to the school's musical legacy.

But for these five, the glamour of Hololive High was little comfort.

Nerissa folded her arms, exhaling loudly. "Okay… what the hell just happened?"

Shiori leaned against the wall, gazing at the ceiling like the answers were etched there. "If I'm not mistaken, we've just been forced into a band by the principal. And if we fail, we're gone."

"Yeah, that I heard." Nerissa rolled her eyes. "What I mean is—why us? Of all people?"

Bijou shrugged. "Probably because we each only shine in one area."

"And because our grades are trash," Fuwawa added sourly.

"Not to mention we're infamous," Mococo grinned. "Maybe he just wants to make us a test subject."

Nerissa groaned, pinching her temples. "I wanted to be a solo artist, not some band member…"

Shiori glanced at her and chuckled. "Funny. I didn't think I'd end up working with someone this full of herself."

"What did you say?" Nerissa glared.

"Okay, okay! Enough!" Bijou stepped in, laughing nervously. "Look, we clearly don't get along—but we're stuck in this together."

Fuwawa huffed. "This is so dumb. Mococo and I can't even rehearse without a fight. How the hell are we supposed to form a band?"

"I'd rather go solo than put up with you," Mococo added.

Shiori straightened. "Look. I hate this too. I'd rather be in a studio writing lyrics than dealing with any of you. But if this is what it takes to stay, I'll do it."

Nerissa stared at her, then sighed. "…Fine. I'm not getting expelled either."

"Guess we're in agreement," Bijou said, giving a soft clap.

They looked at one another again. Quiet.

"…So what now?" Fuwawa asked, raising a hand. "Where do we start?"

Mococo scratched her head. "We probably need a practice room."

Bijou nodded. "And a song."

"And who's gonna lead us?" Nerissa asked.

Silence again.

Then, slowly, they all turned to Shiori.

"…Wait. Me?" she blinked. "Why me?"

"Because you're the smartest one," Bijou smirked.

"You always make plans," Fuwawa added.

"And when you get mad, you sound like a real leader," Mococo grinned.

Nerissa sighed. "I'd argue… but honestly, I don't want to manage you all."

Shiori looked at them, one by one. Then she crossed her arms and gave a crooked smile.

"Fine. I'll lead."

Bijou clapped. "Great! We've got a captain."

"But if I'm in charge, you all listen. No arguing."

Fuwawa and Mococo shared a glance. "…Fine."

"We'll see," Nerissa muttered.

"Good," Shiori said firmly. "We begin practice tomorrow after class. I'll secure the room. No excuses. No absences."

They didn't like it.

They didn't trust it.

But they knew—this was their only path forward.

And so, the journey of Advent began.
