Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Dinner with family

The seventh-level warrior is a strength classification for professionals in Azeroth, and it is a method of ranking levels passed down by the high elves of Quel'Thalas. The origins date back to the highborne elves tens of thousands of years ago, who studied the use of arcane energy under the light of the Well of Eternity. To clearly and conveniently represent the effects of arcane spells, they divided spells into nine rings based on their power and consumption, as well as legendary spells above the ninth ring that could destroy the world. Over time, this division of levels became popular.

Later, some of the highborne elves were exiled and became the current high elves. They also passed on this set of occupational hierarchy to human society. The energy functions of the various professions and mages among humans are different. Although they also use level one to nine, and above level nine is the legendary hero level, they sometimes prefer to simplify it and call professionals low-level, intermediate, high-level, and legendary.

Galen had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. He already had a plan in mind. "Father, I am going to ask for your permission to go on an adventure. I plan to go to Ironforge, the dwarven kingdom, or the magical kingdom of Dalaran to see the world."

"No problem. Ironforge and we trade grain every year. You can follow the caravan. I have some friendship with their King Magni. I will write a letter and you will take it to greet him on my behalf. Dalaran will be even easier. You can visit Archmage Antonidas of the Kirin Tor as a prince." Thoras knew that his son had behaved very maturely since he was a child. He had seriously practiced the combat skills taught to him since he was a child, never slacked off, and even added some elements on his own. He was self-aware, self-confident, and intelligent. These advantages made him a perfect crown prince.

"No problem, Father." Galen had anticipated the outcome of this matter. In the past, Galen was still young and not strong enough. Moreover, as the heir to the kingdom and the king's only son, his safety was of vital importance. Now he is a seventh-level warrior, and his high-level strength is enough to deal with most dangers. A chick cannot always be under its parents' wings.

Galen's plan was to go to Dalaran or Ironforge with the two small caravans he had formed in recent years. A guard of about 20 people under his command would follow him to provide protection. This caravan was formed by Galen himself using the manor and some money given to him by Thoras. This has earned Galen a lot of money over the years. The title of Royal Caravan should not be used lightly.

At this moment, the palace servants came in, each holding a portion of food in their hands. They realized they were starving. The three of them each chose their favorite food. Galen chose a roasted mountain goat leg and a piece of raptor tenderloin and began to eat them in large bites.

Galen's mouth was shiny with grease from eating, and he was thinking that when he went on an adventure, he would have to take all his belongings with him, including the gold coins that the caravan had earned for him over the years. Based on his experience playing various real-time strategy games in his previous life, these gold coins might be useful for building the base.

"Father, my caravan has been in Stromgarde for a while. I plan to prepare and depart tomorrow. If the time is right, I can also depart with Danath." While chewing on the tenderloin, Galen did not forget to tell Thoras his plan.

"Are you going north to Dalaran or south to Ironforge?" Thoras ate very elegantly. Although he was a warrior and sometimes acted directly and violently, he was also a king who had held a high position for more than ten years. Royal etiquette was engraved in his bones.

"I plan to go see the dwarven kingdom first, Father." In fact, Galen had no intention of going to Ironforge. The climate there was extremely cold, which was a big difference from the temperate climate of the Arathi Highlands. Galen's fundamental goal was to go to the border of the kingdom and find a place to establish a Warcraft base.

"Come early tomorrow. I will prepare a gift and a letter. Please help me deliver them to King Magni." "Okay, Father."

When Galen and Danath walked out of the meeting hall, the sky outside was already full of stars.

The night in Arathi was the same as the day, with a grey sky. The castle was located at the highest point of the entire city. Galen and Danath looked out the window of the castle and could vaguely see the shadow of the city gate fortress in the distance.

The city was originally built as a military fortress, so it is divided into several areas by towering walls. Each area has its own gate. During wartime, each gate will be closed at night, which is probably the curfew of the world of Azeroth.

It was just night, and the citizens of Stromgarde were returning home to rest after a busy day, chatting with their children at the dining table while waiting for their wives to prepare dinner. Galen silently looked at the lights of thousands of houses, and his mood relaxed.

"It's rare to see you quiet, Galen. You always seem so eager." Danath looked at Galen and began to observe the city.

"I haven't seen it before. It's rare that I've discovered the beauty of Stromgarde. I just need to observe it more carefully." At this moment, Galen's eyes were a little empty. "Danath, we will protect this country, right?"

Danath was a little surprised to hear this, "Isn't it our mission to protect this kingdom?"

Danath didn't understand why Galen asked that. He didn't know that Galen not only saw the pearl city in the night of Arathi, where people were well-fed and well-clothed and lights were on in every house, but also the dilapidated city gates, the decaying city walls, the ruins, and the scattered people struggling to survive that might appear in the future.

He, Galen Trollbane, was a dead loser in the original novel, his fate was very unfortunate. Traveling through time and becoming the only heir to the kingdom is a good thing. Not to mention that in the future you will either have power over the world or sleep in the lap of a beautiful woman, at least you will be rich and powerful. However, there is a great law in Azeroth, the law of tragic princes. From the two famous ones, Arthas and Kael'thas, to Prince Liam of Gilneas, all of them experienced ups and downs and died a miserable death.

If Galen hadn't time-traveled, this brother from the original plot wouldn't have been much better off. First, he committed patricide like Arthas, and soon after, the Undead Plague and the riots in the orc concentration camps followed one after another, which dealt a fatal blow to the already exhausted kingdom and severely damaged its vitality, causing it to decline from being a world-renowned military power in the human world.

This guy was also very strong. Moreover, as a millennium-old country, Stromgarde had its own complete military system. Its people were also very tenacious and had a strong belief in defending their homeland, which allowed Stromgarde to overcome these two difficulties.

However, after the orc riots and the undead plague, the people lost confidence in the country and followed Jaina. Then came the ogre invasion and the Syndicate rebellion. The tide of the great era had arrived, and Azeroth entered an era of disasters.

I will break this tragic fate. I will protect this peace and this country.
