The chaos erupted around me like a nightmare come to life. Students were running wildly, their screams and cries filling the air as they desperately tried to escape the monsters that had invaded our school.
Some were biting other students, their eyes turned red with a feral hunger, while others were being trampled by the giant robots that stomped through the hallways, their metal bodies crushing anyone who got in their way.
The sound of shattering glass and crumbling concrete filled the air, and the smell of smoke and sweat hung heavy over everything.
I stood frozen in the middle of the mayhem, watching the scene unfold as if I was invisible. The sounds of gunshots and unfamiliar machinery echoed through the corridors, making my ears ring.
I covered my ears to block out the cacophony of noise, but it only seemed to amplify the sense of dread that was growing inside me. My heart was racing, and my legs felt like lead, as if rooted to the spot.
As I stood there, students with familiar faces began to emerge from the chaos, their eyes filled with tears and anger. They gazed at me with an accusatory stare, their voices barely above a whisper.
"Kyro, why didn't you tell us?" they muttered, their words laced with blame. "You knew something was going to happen, didn't you? Why didn't you warn us?"
They continued to walk towards me, their eyes never leaving mine.
"You already knew something, right? Why didn't you do anything to stop this?" they added, their voices rising in anger. I slowly backed away, my heart racing with fear, as they advanced towards me. Their footsteps echoed through the hallway, a haunting reminder of the terror that was unfolding.
The accusations kept coming, each one piercing my heart like a knife.
"We died because of you," they whispered, their eyes cold and unforgiving. And then, the most terrifying thing happened. Everyone around me stopped and stared at me with red eyes, their faces twisted into grotesque grins.
"You killed us. You're a murderer!" they exclaimed, their voices rising to a deafening crescendo.
They ran towards me, their arms outstretched, but before they could reach me, a long, squid-like tentacle struck their bodies, sending them flying across the room. The tentacles continued to pierce their bodies, and I heard their pitiful cries for help. "Kyro... Please save us..."
I was paralyzed with fear, unsure of what was happening or what I could do to stop it. The tentacles seemed to be everywhere, striking down anyone who got in their way.
I felt like I was trapped in a living hell, with no escape from the horrors that surrounded me. The air was thick with fear, and the smell of blood and sweat hung heavy over everything.
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder, shaking me awake.
"Kyro, wake up," a voice said, firm but gentle. I opened my eyes to find my grandfather standing over me, a look of concern etched on his face.
"It was just a dream, Kyro," he said, his voice soothing. "You're safe now."
But as I looked around, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the nightmare was far from over. What did it mean? Was it a warning of things to come? I couldn't help but wonder.
The dream lingered in my mind, haunting me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
