Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Aerowaves

Ren stood still, the memory of the magic orb's silence echoing in his mind. No magic element. No glowing color. Nothing. Yet, something stirred within him—a strange force that hadn't made itself known until now.

"If I really have that kind of power..." Ren thought to himself, a faint smile forming on his face, "Then I will destroy the Ruler. No matter what."

Just then, Ryota, curious as ever, asked, "So, what kind of magic element do you have, Airi?"

Airi turned to him with a grin. "I have Semi-Celestial Magic."

Ryota blinked. "Semi-Celestial? Never heard of that one."

Airi nodded. "It's kind of like Celestial Magic. It doesn't have any natural element like fire or water. It's not that rare, but it's still different from the basic magic types. I can boost my physical strength and speed—it's more like magic fused into my body rather than casting it."

Ryota laughed. "Weird stuff. But I've seen similar magic a lot,So,you are not a big deal."

Airi smirked. "Well, you aren't even close to my sister's level."

Ryota raised an eyebrow. "Misaki? What magic type does she have?"

Airi replied proudly, "She has all eight basic magic elements."

The room fell into stunned silence. Even Ren widened his eyes in surprise.

"All... eight?" Ryota whispered.

Misaki looked away, slightly embarrassed. "Please don't make a big deal of it."

Airi chuckled. "She's too humble. But anyway, enough talk—it's time for training!"

Misaki gave a calm smile and looked at Ren. "If you want to understand your magic, you need to train hard. Physical exercises and meditation will increase your focus. Celestial Magic, especially, is mysterious. It usually awakens when the user faces a powerful situation."

She then turned to Ryota. "As for you, you'll need to learn proper control first. Only then can you evolve into using Plasma Magic."

Ryota puffed his chest, excited. "Then let's start!"

As they all moved to the training area, Ren chose a quieter corner, away from the others. He sat beneath a tree, focusing. "If Celestial Magic is real… is my foresight part of it?" he thought. "Maybe there's more inside me. Maybe I just haven't reached it yet."

He began his training—physical workout first, followed by meditation. It was boring, exhausting, and felt like nothing was happening.

Meanwhile, Ryota was already half-dead from Misaki's intense training. Airi stood nearby, laughing at his struggle.

Suddenly, Ren heard a low growl.

His eyes snapped open. From the trees, a wild wolf appeared, eyes locked onto him.

"They didn't say there were wolves here!" Ren panicked. He turned to run, but tripped over a root and fell. The wolf growled again, getting closer.

"I guess... this is the end before the beginning," Ren muttered, shielding himself with his arms.

But before the wolf could pounce, something strange happened.

BOOM!

A wave of invisible force exploded from Ren's palms, blasting the wolf backward. The beast yelped and ran away into the forest.

Ren sat up, stunned. "What… was that?"

He stared at his hands. "It felt like... wind? No, it was something else. It didn't feel like an element…"

Without wasting time, he rushed to Misaki, who was still training Ryota. Ryota looked ready to pass out while Airi teased him mercilessly.

Ren ignored the chaos and approached Misaki. "I need to show you something."

He picked up an apple from the ground, placed it on a rock, and focused. "C'mon… again," he whispered, pushing his hands forward.

Nothing. The apple didn't move.

But the leaves around it shivered gently.

Ryota burst out laughing. "You call that a power? Even I can sneeze harder than that!"

Misaki, however, narrowed her eyes. "Interesting…"

She stepped closer. "Ren, you don't have wind magic. That's not what this is. Based on what I saw, you might have a unique Celestial ability—something I'll call Atomic Control for now."

Ren tilted his head. "Atomic Control?"

Misaki explained, "It's not air. It's pressure. You somehow contracted and released particles in the air rapidly, causing a shockwave-like blast. That's why it felt like wind—but it wasn't."

Ryota scratched his head. "So basically... it's like Air Magic, but cooler?"

"No," Misaki corrected. "It's like... Aerowaves—a wave of energy created by manipulating atoms around you, not the wind itself."

Ren's eyes lit up. "Aerowaves... I like that name."

And with that, a new power began to awaken inside him—one born not of elements, but of nature's very structure. A hidden force that would soon become his weapon against destiny.
