Chapter 13 - Preparations

"Gamma Cristian, I found what you asked for. Tell me what to do with this" Oru, one of the assistants, something like a butler at the shipping company, spoke to him. Seeing that Cristian did not answer, he became concerned "Gamma? Gamma Cristian? Are you okay?"

Cristian felt a tap on his shoulder, snapping him out of his trance. Realizing that someone was talking to him, he asked Oru to repeat the question and instructed him to use the tablecloths as long curtains, as they were long enough to hang in crescent shapes, thus further decorating the central courtyard.

Cristian couldn't get the adorable image of that girl out of his head and tried to remember the stories his grandmother told him about the great powers of the humans who lived in his region thousands of years ago. Could the spell be one of them? He thought to himself.

Later, he caught up with Beta and told him that he had managed to have a brief encounter with the human and how amazed he was when he saw her.

"I would love to be able to question her and see what her powers are," Cristian said excitedly.

The Beta, on the other hand, did not feel such excitement. He was concerned that the creature might be dangerous and cause harm to the pack, but together with the Alpha, they concluded that it was unlikely to be a danger since Caspian had almost killed her. If she had powers, she would not have been able to harm him. With these thoughts, he tried to quell his concern for now.

"Stay away from that thing," the Beta urged him. "We don't know anything about her, and she won't be with us for long since Aliana wants to help her return to her people. The sooner she does, the sooner we'll be rid of one more worry."

The Beta's concern was based on everything that was happening far from the Gamma's nose, as Cristian was currently completely focused on the preparations for the Full Moon celebration. The event was too important for everyone, so for the time being they preferred to leave the Gamma out of these concerns. All the other leaders of the pack who are in charge of his protection are planning attack and defense strategies against the imminent threat of attacks by the Antraxs or the witches (the wolves have no proof that the witches were involved in the attacks, but it was hard to believe that the monsters would set traps, and as for the witches, they should have found at least traces of black magic during their rounds, but that hasn't happened). They are also coordinating meetings with other villages to gather information and create support networks. The Alpha suspected that these attacks were also happening elsewhere on the continent.

Alpha Caspian was known to all as an excellent strategist and the strongest among his people. It was no surprise that he had spies all over the continent and was just waiting to tie up loose ends and confirm his suspicions. On this planet, information traveled somewhat slower, as there were no planes or cars, nor were there telephones. It was like the Middle Ages with a few touches of modernity, such as drinking water and hot showers, among other things, but they lacked computers, cell phones, and many other things.

"For now, worry about the ceremony," Beta said in a friendly tone. "Remember that none of us have found our mate yet. Maybe this is our chance."

The preparations continued without a hitch over the next few days.

Everyone was excited about the event, but the singles who were looking for their soulmates were even more so.

"Luz, tomorrow night is our ceremony, and we're both going to see it," Aliana said excitedly. "We'll eat and dance. I'll get you a pretty dress so you'll look right for your birthday celebration and for the moon celebration. Only we'll know about your birthday, but that won't stop you from being at a party tomorrow night."

Luz was definitely unsure about going out for everyone to see. She was still afraid, even though she hadn't heard her attacker's voice again and didn't know who he was.

"What's your favorite color?" Aliana asked.

"Red," Luz replied without hesitation.

Aliana left the room and returned with a beautiful blood-red dress and a beautiful woman behind her.

"Luz, meet Deni. She's an excellent seamstress and will help you with the dress."

We looked through my dresses, but I definitely don't have your size and you wouldn't fit into mine. Aliana was tall and thin, her curves not yet fully developed, and she had only recently become a werewolf.

I brought a dress that belonged to my beloved mother. She was taller than you, but her body was similar to yours, so it will work.

"Are you sure you want to give me your mother's dress? After all, it's a memento, isn't it?"

Aliana looked at her fondly, surprised by her concern. "Don't worry, I know my mother would be happy to give it to a good friend of her daughter's."

The two hugged after this and shed a few tears of emotion.

The dress was beautiful. Luz tried it on and it was quite large, so Deni got to work. The woman took some pins, shortened the hem by about 10 cm, cut the sleeves to leave her shoulders bare, and created a U-neckline that revealed only the top of her bust.

She added a black bow at her small waist and sewed black and white stones around the neckline.

It took Dani only five hours to alter the dress and take it to the human girl's room.

Luz looked at it in awe, but didn't try it on. She still felt uncomfortable with the idea of going out. She was afraid that a werewolf would attack her, a feeling she had despite the fact that everyone had been nice to her lately.
