Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 – The Heroine’s Fated Novel

I stumbled across a fantasy romance novel on Wattpad one day. It wasn't anything groundbreaking—just a mix of the usual tropes. But once I started reading, I couldn't stop. The world was vivid, the story engaging, and the princes? All painfully handsome.

The plot was pretty simple.

The main protagonist, a heroic young man named Sarjava, lost his parents in a tragic assassination at just six years old. That moment defined him. From that day on, he lived solely to avenge them.

He trained in the art of the sword and eventually became one of the kingdom's finest warriors. By the time he was 22, the king himself made an offer: protect his youngest son as a royal knight in exchange for whatever Sarjava desired.

While serving in the royal palace, something unexpected happened—Sarjava, who had lived only for revenge, found himself falling in love with the daughter of a duke. She wasn't just any noble's daughter—she was the story's main heroine.

But love was never going to be simple. Other men were drawn to her too. Including the one Sarjava had been assigned to protect: the Third Prince, also known as the Frontline Heir. Unlike the others, the prince didn't show his affection openly. No—he teased her constantly, pushed her buttons, and pulled her into playful arguments. It was this strange chemistry that turned him into Sarjava's rival.

Eventually, the third prince went too far.

Diving deep into forbidden magic, he began harming others. His descent into darkness made him one of the novel's main villains. And in the end, all the heroes—including Sarjava—banded together to end his life.

…So technically, he wasn't the main villain. He was just the third wheel—a side character villain used to add spice and tension to the romance between the heroine and the true hero.

And now, I've been reincarnated as that guy.

Seriously, what kind of cosmic joke is this?

Character Introduction: Noah Everain

(AKA Me, or Min Khant Thu Ya)

The moment I woke up in this world and realized I was now Noah Everain, the third prince of the Vanila Kingdom, everything changed. People started treating me differently. Even the servants kept their distance. I knew why, though—they all believed I was cursed.

In this second chance at life, I made a vow:

"I don't care how people treat me. This time, I'm going to live my best life—even if it kills me."

Name: Noah Everain (Originally: Min Khant Thu Ya)

Age: 23

Blood Type: A

Height: 5'11"

Role: [To be determined]

Abilities: Can break the 4th wall, has access to a mysterious System

In the original novel, Noah was cold, ruthless, and emotionally detached. But me? I'm his opposite. I'm chaotic, upbeat—even when life sucks—and yeah, I mess up a lot. But I'm not going to follow his path.

Physically, I stand out. Piercing blue eyes, rare golden hair that shines in the sun, pale flawless skin—all signs of royal blood. But since I'm an illegitimate child born from a servant, I've been scorned and excluded my entire life. Some even believe my blue eyes bring destruction.

In the original story, Noah genuinely loved the heroine till the end—faithfully, quietly. But she betrayed him, and that's when he snapped. He turned into a monster… and was slain.

Now that I've taken over his body, will I walk the same path? Or rewrite his fate entirely?

Character Spotlight: Aren Velthorn

(Or as I sarcastically call him: "Sir Grim Broadsword")

"Don't call me that. I hate it. It disrespects the honor of a knight bearing the royal crest."

Name: Aren Velthorn

Age: 25

Height: 6'2"

Blood Type: A

Role: [To be revealed]

Aren is from a legendary bloodline of heroes. As part of a mysterious deal with the royal family, he was assigned to protect me—the third prince. Needless to say, he's not thrilled about it.

He's the silent, stoic type. Cold as a glacier, tough as stone, always serious. But behind that emotionless exterior, he has a warm heart. He just doesn't show it.

Dark hair, sun-kissed bronze skin, sharp golden eyes that look like a tiger ready to pounce—Aren is terrifyingly handsome. And right now, he sees me as a useless, privileged royal who's too carefree and spoiled to be taken seriously.

In the original novel, he and the prince became enemies. Their rivalry was intense, mostly because of their shared interest in the heroine. But now that I'm in the prince's body…

Well, let's just say our relationship might take a very different turn.

This is the beginning of my second life. A story of magic, sword fights, romance, and fate.

But this time, I'm not here to be a villain. I'm here to choose my own ending..
