Chapter 6 - The Club

Something jerked me awake as I looked around the dark room, which looked nothing like the one I fell asleep in. I didn't know where I was. Then I saw Ambrose, his bare chest, with a few tattoos in my line of view. He was sleeping beautifully, making all the mean features he had fade away. I don't know what came over me, but my hand reached out, touching his face as his eyes shot open, looking at me like I lost it.

"Sorry, there was blood on your face... if you don't mind me asking. How did I end up in your room? Did you bring me here?"

"No, I thought you came here and fell asleep. Therefore, I don't have the answer to that. All I know is you were here when I came to my room. I was too tired to move your thick ass... don't let it happen again." He said it like I wanted to be here, so I stared, and then I felt my hunger hit the pit of my stomach.

"I'm hungry—"

"Not my fucking problem." He spoke, turning back over and ignoring me. But it was his problem, and he kept throwing me off on the others, especially Thana and Oliver, since he didn't want me around Keir, and Lucy hated me. I didn't feel like arguing, so I got up and left to find someone who could help, instead I ran into one of the humans.

Her heartbeat drew me closer even though I tried my best to walk away. Then, my thirst for blood pulled me to her while she smiled, and I showed her my fangs. Something about it caused her to back away quickly, but before she could run or call for help, my teeth had sunk into her neck.

"P-please don't k-kill me." I heard her voice, but my fangs sunk deeper into the woman's neck as she let out a silent scream as my nails dug into her side. I couldn't control myself; I was so hungry, and I didn't realize I was killing her until two fingers slipped between her and my teeth as they pulled me away.

Without a thought, I turned to the person, ready to kill as I threw punches. I knew who it was by her smell, and the bitch had already pissed me off. She was being a bitch towards me for no reason, and I was going to let her know how I felt and how I wasn't going to take her shit. Before I knew it, my fist connected with her face a few times before gripping her by the hair and kneeing her in the stomach. She was fighting back, and for a woman who had been a vampire for almost a century, she couldn't fight. Blind rage took over as I knocked her to the floor, throwing punches as they connected with her face.

I never felt this angry in my life, and it could have been the fact she stopped me from feeding. Or it could have been about Ambrose. I didn't know, nor did I care. I wanted her dead, and that's all I could think about until a rough set of hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me away. I still was trying to get to Lucy as I reached for her throat.

"Oh my God! Are You Crazy?! I was trying to stop you from killing her, and you attacked me. You saw that, right? She's crazy! Ambrose didn't feed her, and she went crazy again. That bitch is going to get us killed! Ambrose, get your ass down here! Your bitch almost killed another human! And Me!"

I- I'm sorry." I lost it, and I didn't mean what I had done, but I couldn't help myself. Yet, I wasn't sorry about what I had done to Lucy. Thana could see this, so she laughed as Lucy glared, stepping forward as if she was about to do something. Instead, she stopped in her tracks and sighed.

"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but this wasn't your fault, Chantal. It's all on Ambrose. If he could pull his head out of his ass for one second. He could see he has to teach you the ropes. He was the one who gave you immortality but don't want the responsibility of caring for you. Sometimes—" However, she stopped talking as she stepped forward once more, smelling me as she quickly bit my finger, sucking the blood before jumping back quickly.

"No fucking way. There is no fucking way. No wonder why you went psycho on me and the fact he doesn't want me or the others near you. It's why he saved you and why Cepheus allowed you to live. It all adds up now. You're his mate. Still, it doesn't change the fact he's not taking care of you as he should. Don't get bigheaded because I let you beat my ass, bitch. I didn't want to hear Brose's mouth about me putting my hands on you." I laughed and stepped forward as she took two back.

"I sense something different." I smiled while Lucy sucked her teeth. I could smell her fear. "Bitch please, and don't think this made me like you because I don't. Go back to your room—but not before you heal her. I assume Ambrose did at least teach you that. Didn't he?"

"I don't like you either, hoe, and yes. He did teach me that." I know I made her mad, but I didn't pay her any attention as I licked the woman's wound and whispered sorry into her ear. Afterward, I returned to my room and showered when Ambrose showed up five minutes later.

He didn't knock as he walked into the bathroom and over to me and my naked body showering. I didn't say a word as he wrapped his hand around my neck. He was mad, but none of this was my fault. He should've fed me when I told him I was hungry unless this had something to do with me beating up Lucy. What happened with that woman was his problem or one of the others called Cepheus.

"Get off me! I don't see why you are mad. I told you I was hungry, and you said it wasn't your fucking problem. Plus, your bitch touched me first. I can't help that she couldn't fight, but I guess you want to rip off my head or bend me over your knee. No, lock me in a dark room to feed off rats. Whatever it may be, I want you to remember it was your fault I almost killed that woman."

"I didn't tell you to leave the damn room, Cha! And I care nothing about you fucking up, Lucy. Fuck! I can't let this happen again. You're moving into the room with me so I can keep a better eye on you. Next time, it doesn't matter what I say to you. Make me get up and do it. You still have another full week before you can truly control your hunger. Plus, if you ever feel that hungry again, feed off me."

In case he forgot, I was in the room with him. What difference would it make if we slept in the same room or not? However, I saw that he was frustrated as he ran his fingers through his golden blonde hair with a sigh. "I'm—"

"Save it. It was my fault and finished showering. We have things to do. Cepheus has us doing shit that I don't want to do, but it has to be done, and since the night is still young, maybe I can show you around Hunedoara." I stared at him as he shrugged. This man was confusing and giving me mixed signals. It made me ask myself if he hated me or not.

"I don't hate you, Chantal—"

"Stay out of my thoughts! Look, can I finish my shower? I don't feel comfortable with you standing here eyeing me while I'm naked. I get that you and your vamp buddies may have orgies—"

"I don't know what the hell you are talking about, Chantal. I don't do orgies. Frankly, I don't like to share unless I have to. It's why Cepheus made sure to separate me from the rest. Why I don't like Keir touching what's mine." He paused, rubbing the back of his neck, but I understood. I was his, and it didn't matter what he did; I was to remain untouched. It was bullshit and I wasn't about to be his little puppet.

"Forget what I said. Get ready, and don't make me come back for you." Again, he left me confused as he hurried out of the bathroom, but I didn't let it bother me.

This was the last thing I wanted to do. Cepheus had me going to see a vamp I cared nothing about. He claimed he would help me with Chantal until I got her under control, but I didn't need help. I knew what I needed to do, but my issues kept me from doing it. Still, I was conflicted about why I needed help. She was a newly turned vampire and had to learn our ways. Learn to feed twice a day and eat and drink as if she were a human when we were out and about at night.

What was different about her?

To me, there was nothing that I could see, but she was acting as if she was on the bloodlust side, but most new vamps were. However, Chantal lust was a little different. She would drink two to three bags at a time, and then an hour later, she would be looking for more. That I didn't understand. Since newly turned vampires, bloodthirst only lasted for a day or two. It had been a full week since I turned her, and Cha was still attacking humans in our home each time one passed her.

It could have come from how I brought her back from the dead. It could have made her a different type of vampire. One of those who lust for blood more than others. They were ferals, but those were vampires who master abandoned them to feed off of animals and druggies or whatever blood they could get. It had me at a loss, Chantal was a mystery to me, and my master knew or had a clue, but he wasn't talking.

"Why are we at a strip club Ambrose? There are humans here, and I—"

"And you're hungry— I know. You're always hungry, which is why I thought ahead. However, there shouldn't be humans in the main part of the club. The owner doesn't allow it. It's a supernatural club, and we are looking for the owner. A vamp named Michael. He can't be missed since he's what most of us call a hybrid. He's an angel vamp. One of God's first creations and the one who created Cepheus." It made her eyes widen as she drank the blood I had given to her. She was nervous, and it made me smile and show her my fangs. Something I never did.

"Stop fucking with me, Brose. There are no such things as angels vamps. If they were, would he have wings?"

"Baby, I've been alive for a long fucking time. I have no need to fuck with your head. Of course, the bastard has wings, and he likes to show them off, but I should warn you about Michael. His power of seduction is strong; it's best not to look him in the eyes, or you will be in the bed with him quicker than you can blink. It's why I can't wrap my head around why Cep wants us to meet him or for him to work with you."

He had to be testing him. Trying to make me accept Chantal as my mate. I couldn't do that, and he knew why, but I also couldn't let another have her because she was mine. My mind was fucked up, causing me to take a deep breath, turning to look around the club until I spotted him. As always, Michael was sitting in the VIP area with his wings wrapped around two strippers as they rubbed on his chest and crotch. I frowned, turning to Chantal, and I noticed she was looking dead into his eyes.

"Cha—"

"Damn, Cep said she was beautiful, but he didn't say she was this damn fine. He also didn't say you were bringing her here with you. This isn't a place for virgin eyes." He said, circling Chantal as he smelled her. "Such a rare gem you have here... and you turned her? No, I think she was— oh, I see." He smiled as he nicely sucked her blood while Chantal stood there, letting him. On the other hand, I wanted to break his neck.

"Oh, am I upsetting you? Touching what is yours? Tell me, why do you care if she's nothing to you Ambrose? What would you do if I did this?" Michael was trying to get under my skin as he let his hand hover over Chantal breast, but it wasn't going to work. Instead, I walked away besides responding as I cursed myself out. I left her back there with that creep, but I wasn't about to fight. Mate or not, and it wasn't like we were sleeping together.

"Ambrose, don't leave me!" My heart fluttered as Chantal gripped my hand. I was relieved as I turned to her and saw Michael standing in the same spot. I left with a smile, but it didn't take long for him to meet up with us.

"You created a rare vampire, Brose. Well, I wouldn't say that you created her, but she's special. Your lover—Your lover had to die to become what she is. Her soul left her body and entered heaven." I turned to Michael quickly with wide eyes, looking back and forth between him and Chantal. He couldn't be saying what I thought he was, and I knew angel vamps could only be created by God. How did this happen?

"You're bullshitting me, Michael. A regular vamp like myself cannot create that. There is no way Chantal is half—"

"She's mostly a vamp. She has a bloodlust that cannot be satisfied. I'm not saying you created her, but she was meant to be. As you know, most of the time, the only way a vampire can bring a human back from the dead is because they are not completely gone. Other times, it's because they are mates. Chantal was born to be your mate, which means you were destined, but I cannot explain how she became as she is. However, her bloodlust is easy to cure. All she needs to do is feed off of you, Brose."

My mouth opened and then closed when I couldn't find my words. If that was all we had to do, then why couldn't Cepheus tell me this? He sent us all the way to Romania for nothing. It was nonsense, and it had to be more to the story, or Michael wasn't telling us everything. I was sure there was more to it, or he was behind it all. Then it was his smile. It told me everything I needed to know, and he was about to enjoy telling me the rest of the terms.

"Okay, we can do that when we are home."

"You didn't let me finish. She needs to feed off you sexually." Chantal laughed, standing by my side while I looked at the man like he was crazy. That wasn't about to happen since that meant we were binding ourselves to each other. It was almost like marriage, and that wasn't about to happen.

"You have really lost it. There is no way that is about to happen."

"Then you will have to deal with a young bloodlust vampire. You have until the blood moon in six months to make it happen. Choose wisely, Ambrose. You don't want a wild, bloodthirst angel vamp on your hands. Until then, I will help you as much as I can to keep her fed. Also, know that once word gets around that you have a rare female vamp in your clutches, all the male vampires will be on the hunt to do what they can to make her fall for them. Don't be surprised if one of them is someone you never would have expected. Many want power that they cannot control. She may not can create life, but she can do much more. Vampires are immortal until someone kills them, but I am eternal. What do you think she is? And what you can become."
