Not too long after the arrival of Angels, Demons, Cursed, And Blessed, did the start of the weapon-smith's come about. Those who were somehow able to forge the weapons capable of fighting Blights and Faiths.
Normal weapons can hurt Blights and Faiths, but you'd find yourself insanely exhausted and probably near death as you were finally able to take one down. Thus, proper time and care are put into the weapons that every student uses, not just at Masquerade but all over the world.
By pouring their own Cursed or Blessed power into swords, axes, guns, bullets, and other weapons, the weapon-smiths of the world have found a great opportunity in arming the warriors of the world.
Personally, I think that the bequeething of Blessed power into...instruments… is the best.
