Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Hypocrisy

"Marco, are we ready?" Whitebeard asked his son while looking into the distance. Moby Dick sailed on the calm waves, and Whitebeard took a sip of his drink.

"Everything is ready. The captains have gathered along with our subordinates," Marco said as he looked at Whitebeard with concern. His health is not in good condition.

"Good. Tell everyone to get ready and get underwater. We have to avoid fighting before reaching Marineford." Whitebeard said with a cold glint in his eyes.

"Yes." Maroc nodded and, in a flash of blue light, flew off towards the other captains to discuss the beginning of the plan. Whitebeard sighed as he gazed at the sky.

"Ace..."

...

[6 hours later...]

The boat containing Ace neared Marienford, and inside Ace's cell, a massive amount of food was eaten. Ace's hands blurred as he ate the food at an alarming rate.

"My body is healing and also becoming stronger. I feel like my physical power has increased already." Ace thought to himself as he finished his food from the tray.

Ace felt his tired body from training regain its stamina, and he felt like his physical strength and endurance had increased. From a mere 6 hours of training, he became better.

Even if it is a slight improvement.

Dooooo!

Ace looked up as the horn of the boat was heard. That meant he arrived at Marineford, and it did not take long for Onigumo to come and take him out of his cell.

"Come, we are here. Don't try anything, or we will put you down." Onigumo said as he led Ace out of the boat. Ace glared at his back with anger at his tone.

Onigumo acts like he could take him out with no struggle. If he did not have the cuffs on his hands, Ace would let him taste the heat of his flames.

But until he is freed, Ace ignores his emotions and follows Onigumo with his head high and prideful. He knows his fate will not end on this island of hypocrites.

His fate is his to decide, and no Joyboiy or Imu will choose that for him. Ace will not let the second chance at his life end by becoming a doughnut.

Walking down from the boat, Ace looked around and noticed the hundred thousand navy soldiers already standing in uniform lanes. They all looked at him with hate and anger.

He was the reason that they had to leave behind their peaceful lives and come fight against the possible attack of the Whitebeard pirates. They have the right to hate him.

But Ace also has the right to hate them since they are the ones who are threatening him with the possibility of death.

At the end of the day, no one is right in war, and only the winner decides what is right and what is wrong. No one can change that, and Ace also knows it won't change.

If he dies, then that means the Marines decide if they were right, and Ace knows if he survived, that he would do everything in his power to destroy the Marines.

Onigumo led Ace to the execution platform, and Ace looked at Sengoku standing there, waiting for him. A violent light flashed in his eyes as he held back his conqueror's haki from lashing out.

"Portgas D. Ace. Rest before the execution is finished. This is the last day on this Earth. Cherish it." Sengoku said with hardened eyes, showing no mercy even if Ace was his friend's grandson.

"Tch! You look high and mighty for someone who is a pet. You fucking baby-killing hypocrite." Sengoku's eyes widened for a fraction of a second at Ace's words before he returned to his calm visage.

"That does not matter. We did what we did for justice, and a pirate like you is not allowed to judge us," Sengoku said with narrowed eyes as he looked at Ace. Onigumo tried to make Ace kneel.

Boom!

Ace turned to look at Onigumo, and his conqueror's haki surged from his body, making Onigumo step back in dizziness. Even at the mercy of execution, he would never kneel.

"I will stand," Ace said in a cold voice. Garp sat under the admiral, and his eyes flashed with regret and remorse as he looked at Ace on the platform.

"Ohh! How scary. CConqueror'shaki at this age?" Kizaru's slow and teasing voice was heard as he looked at Ace on the execution platform. Akainu sneered while Aokiji remained silent.

"Ace... Why couldn't you become a marine..." Garp closed his eyes tightly, barely stopping his tears from flowing, as he felt his chest contract at the thought of what would happen.

Ace looked up and saw Garp crying, but his eyes did not hold warmth or regret for him. He is not like Ace. But an otaku from Earth. He might have liked Garp as a character, but he is not his grandfather.

He had parents, and they loved him before his death. He does not wish to replace them because this body has a family.

Sengoku let out a sigh as he looked towards the entrance to the island. Seeing that the Den Den Mushi's streaming to the world was active, he took a breath before beginning.

"People around the world! Portgas D. Ace is going to be executed but before that. I have something to tell you all." Sengoku began, looking at Ace to see his reaction. He only saw a cold face looking back.

"Portgas D. Ace. Who is your father?" Sengoku asked, and everyone went silent as they looked at the execution platform, waiting for Ace to say something.

Ace's eyes were cold as he looked at Sengoku. If he's doing this, then he might as well reveal everything. The hypocritical mask and their sins in the world.

Ace is not doing it for revenge for Ace or anything of the sort. It is merely to make the Marines and the world government look bad and make the world lose sight of them.

Without the countries supporting the World government with mone,y and the people not joining the Marines. What are they if not a mercenary group doing missions for wealth?

"My father..."

"Is Gol D. Roger!"
