Why me?
A 20-year-old guy asked himself, laying in the pool of his own blood, wondering why the world was so cruel to him. It was already nighttime in an alley, with him staring at the night sky where all the stars shone bright. But he couldn't admire the view. He was filled with regret, despair, hate, anger—all kinds of negative emotions. With him being at death's door, he couldn't help but remember how things got like this.
He was born into a family of three, with him being the fourth, meaning he had an older brother who was just five years his senior. He was always the quiet one in the family. His parents were too busy to check up on him; in fact, all he believed his parents were good for was their wealth and nothing more. He grew up with the help of nannies and only saw his mom and dad once a year, if possible, mostly during vacations.
His brother had proper guidance because they took him most times wherever they went. He didn't understand what happened. He always wondered why his life was so different until he got to high school.
He started getting bullied, with people constantly saying, "Your dad is rich, right? Just give us some of your allowance and we'll leave you alone." Well, that was how hell started. He got tired and explained things to his parents, but all he got was that they were busy. He developed trauma from going to school, but he still went and bottled it all in.
Then, along his way, he got shocking news that his mom was dead. He didn't understand at first but later found out the woman who he believed to be his real mother wasn't—his real mother was a maid who worked at the mansion where he stayed. But he never got told anything about her.
As he went deeper into it, he found out that his real father had an affair with one of the maids to "relieve himself" at some point and ended up getting her pregnant. Due to how he felt for the maid, the father asked her to keep the child, but she didn't agree. Things got out of hand, and they came to an agreement where he wouldn't ever show the kid real fatherly love and just abandon him there. That was how things went on.
When he found out about all this, he broke down in tears. He never once got the chance to call his real mom "Mom," but he wanted to find out more about his mom's death. Since the incident happened in the mansion, he tried to check most of the files in the CCTV camera but found some clips had been deleted, meaning whatever happened during that time contradicted the false information about her falling from the stairs.
Due to his specialization in computers, he knew how to hack and do other things. So he did what he could and saw the deleted file. When he clicked it, he saw his brother—or half-brother—trying to assault his mother. His mother looked like a woman in her late 30s but still looked quite beautiful. He didn't even know how someone as young as her could be his mother; she looked extremely young, making him wonder when his dad had taken advantage of his mother and at what age.
Currently, he was 15 years old, and his brother was 20. All he saw was his brother threatening his mother to sleep with him. He could see the despair in her eyes when his brother was committing the act. After his brother was done, he left saying, "Don't tell anyone what happened. You know what will happen to your son."
His mother got tired of it all and committed suicide, and that was how she died. He broke down in tears again, wanting revenge, but he still had to check something because he saw his mother write something in her room before she died. So he went to check it out. There, he found out the whole truth of how she had always watched him and been unable to leave this place until she completed what she owed. But now she had fully paid it by serving her years there. She felt unworthy to meet him in person because she knew all the suffering he had been through.
All he could do was stare at the letter in silence, tears dripping from his eyes, swearing to take revenge for all they did. He went back to acting normal, like nothing ever happened, continuing to live his life until he got to university, making hardcore plans for revenge.
When he got into university, he got a girlfriend claiming to live in the same estate as him, but he had never seemed to notice her. Well, he accepted because he didn't want to be an empty shell with no emotions. So he tried to do everything he could for the girl who claimed she loved him. After three months of dating with all kisses on the cheek and everything, he tried to take the relationship further, so he invited her over to his house. But he heard his brother was coming home, so he told her that and asked her to meet him at their favorite spot where they went out for dates. She accepted.
So he left early morning not to see his brother because he hated him. He got to the park around 7:00 AM, waiting because he said he wanted to start the day really early with her, and she should make it there by 8:00, which they both agreed on. After one hour, he called her. She said she was on her way, that he should give her some time. After another two hours, she didn't pick up but instead texted him saying she was around the corner.
Well, since he drove all the way here and left home early, he forgot his wallet at home. So he said, since she's not here, why doesn't he return home real quick, and when she comes, she can just wait a bit, considering he has been waiting for three hours. So he drove home.
At first, when he got home, he saw most of the maids and butlers looking at him in some way but didn't think much about it. He just went to his room to get his wallet. On his way out, he heard the sound of something crashing, thinking it was maybe his brother who was back. Though he already made his revenge plan, if he didn't greet his brother before he left, he might even cause trouble for him. So he went to his room.
On his way there, he heard moans, thinking maybe his brother brought in another of his girls he always brings anytime he visits. So he decided not to bother them, but he felt like that voice sounded so much like his girlfriend. At first, he was in doubt, thinking maybe it was just a joke, so he went to the front door and called his girlfriend's number. He was praying for it not to ring until he heard her phone ringtone. He felt like his world had fallen, thinking maybe his brother was raping his girlfriend too.
As he was about to push the door open and rush inside, he heard something that nearly stopped him from breathing.
"Your bastard of a brother is calling me. What should I do, my love?" And he heard his brother reply with, "Just ignore him unless you love him."
And she replied with, "Hahahaha, don't make me laugh. I only used him to get to you. I've been in love with you ever since you came to my dad's company with your mom. I've tried many ways to reach you but can't, so I simply used your brother. I don't even let him touch me, not like he can. He always acts like a simp, so I was just going along with the act so I can know when you come here, and he told me it was today. So I had to ditch him to meet you."
And his brother replied with a laugh and said, "You bad girl. I will spoil you so bad, you slut. Hahaha, well, serves him right. I can't believe I cuckold both his mother and lover. Hahaha, very funny. Now let's continue." And she laughed too.
While being outside, all he could just do was stare blankly at the door. After leaving there, he went to his car and drove off. After driving for five hours straight, he got to a bridge, screaming on top of his lungs and just staring blankly with tears falling down his cheek. He didn't know what to do. After what seemed like hours, he shouted, "I swear I will kill all of them! I promise myself that!"
