A rush of mechanical sounds filled Shin Arashi's mind.
Before he could understand what was happening, his vision went white—and he suddenly dropped into a snowy forest.
Fortunately, the thick snow softened his fall. Still dazed, Shin sat up, shivering in his thin clothes and sneezing from the freezing wind.
"What... where am I? Is this heaven? And what was that voice in my head?" Shin looked around in confusion, his breath visible in the cold air, his heart racing with panic.
The snow-covered trees loomed around him, unfamiliar and silent. Then it hit him like a bolt of lightning.
"Wait... Demon Slayer? That's the anime where demons eat people—and Muzan turns humans into monsters with just a drop of blood! I'm actually inside that world?!" He staggered back a step, eyes wide with shock, his voice barely above a whisper. His entire body tensed with dread.
"Of all the places to end up... why here?" Shin clenched his fists, trying to steady his nerves as fear slowly settled into his bones.
Before he could fully process the situation, a glimmer in the sky caught his eye. A black-and-purple sword came slicing down from above like a falling star.
Eyes wide, Shin stumbled back, his foot slipping in the snow. He fell flat onto his back with a grunt of pain.
The sword stabbed into the ground between his legs with a terrifying thunk.
"Holy crap... I nearly became a eunuch..." He winced, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. That was way too close.

Giyu Tomioka: A powerful Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. Master of Water Breathing.
Nezuko Kamado: A kind-hearted girl turned demon by Muzan's blood. Despite her transformation, she resists harming humans.
The voice echoed again, emotionless and clear, snapping Shin back to reality.
He stared at the sword that had nearly ended him, his hands trembling slightly as everything began to sink in.
"Okay... calm down. Breathe. You've watched this show a dozen times. You know how this goes," he muttered to himself, forcing his shaking hands to still as he reached for the sword.
He grabbed the hilt and stood up, snow crunching underfoot. His grip tightened.
Suddenly, a small map appeared in the corner of his vision, glowing faintly with a blinking red marker. Below it, a countdown began—3:00... 2:59... 2:58...
"No time to think. I've gotta move—now!" Shin's expression hardened. Fear turned into focus as he sprinted in the direction the system indicated.
His legs pushed through thick snow, every step heavy and exhausting. His breath turned ragged. He wasn't used to this world—its weight, its cold, its danger.
But just as he began to falter, something surged within him.
Dark purple markings—like tattoos—began to snake across his skin. The right arm gripping the sword pulsed with energy, veins glowing faintly with a demonic light.
Shin stumbled to a stop, wide-eyed, staring at his own arm.
"What... what is this power?" His voice was hushed now, filled with awe—and a touch of fear.
A deep, ancient energy stirred inside him.
The power of the Demon-God had begun to awaken...
