Synopsis
A story of a man that got transmigrated to a parallel world where dungeons and hunters exist. In a dangerous world such as this, it's only given that only by becoming powerful you'll feel a sense of security. Using his ability to simulate other worlds he would become stronger with it. P.S - This synopsis is only temporary, I'll change it to more appropriate cause I made it sound like it's more serious than the content itself.

Chapter 1 - A World Of Hunters

At the age of 22, I unexpectedly had an accident that caused me to die a rather gruesome death, which I wouldn't explain in detail because it's traumatizing.

And when I thought I was about to know whether the afterlife existed. Without a warning, I was suddenly transmigrated to an alternative reality similar to Earth.

But there's a major difference, as this world experienced a worldwide catastrophe that no one expected.

One day, all of a sudden, wormholes from another dimension started appearing randomly on Earth, and each time it happened, a horde of fantasy-like creatures broke out from these wormholes and caused untold amounts of damage to that area.

As you may have guessed, I've been transmigrated to a very cliché fantasy setting often seen in KN web novels or manwha.

Which is the hunter x awakener category; it's a genre that I read to pass the time, despite being an overused setting.

It was no doubt enjoyable to read, as long as the one who made the story knew what they were doing.

Now, that's where the problem started; while I did like this particular genre, however living in one wasn't particularly an appealing prospect.

Are you kidding me? Who would want to live in a world where monsters could swarm the area you're living in a matter of time?

No matter how much those hunter's stories glorified this kind of setting. It doesn't change the fact that it's an apocalyptic scenario.

Who knows when the world will end? Dying is something I couldn't get over, and I had no desire to die right after I got my second chance.

But what could I do? I'm utterly powerless; after all, my transmigration didn't include OP powers or those glorified systems that I've read about.

I'm still the same as I was before I transmigrated.

This means I'm the same physically. It means my face is still the same, which is average, but I could argue with above average, depending on who asked.

Regardless, I'm still lucky enough. At the very least I was transmigrated as a human being and not some insect.

Thinking about what kind of life I'm going to experience as an insect makes me shudder.

Either way, I'm very happy with my current situation even though I'm standing on thin ice.

My life after a few months of transmigration was relatively peaceful, so far the area I'm living in wasn't in a state of danger, which I'm quite grateful for.

Either way, living on this alternative earth was quite eye-opening.

First, while this world has a similar history and geography to my previous world, there are a lot of differences.

For example, famous works from my last life don't exist, and a lot of them are simply missing in this world.

Which gave me the idea to plagiarize those works as mine, that is where my journey of being a fraud started.

At least from my perspective, as I'm the only one who knows those pieces, and copying them here has zero consequences on my part.

No copyright is going to sue me for doing this kind of thing.

So all those masterpieces are mine to take.

My career as a plagiarized writer isn't as smooth sailing as those stories I often see in web novels.

Just because it's popular back in my world, it doesn't mean it would be the same here; luck is also a factor in gaining popularity.

Like for example, I reincarnated as a smile is a mid-story. It isn't anything special and only good enough to read to pass the time.

Yet, for some weird reason, it's extremely popular. For one, I've seen a better story than that, yet it's not as popular as this novel.

My first experience of plagiarizing web novels back in my world utterly failed as it's barely even known to the world.

However, honestly, it didn't make me give up or something, as writing that one is made out of impulse more than anything.

It didn't take me long to figure out the popular genre in this world, which I should have seen coming.

The genre is being an awakener or a hunter; most of these stories are generic garbage and plain wish-fulfillment, but they sell.

I can't blame them for having to dream because, in this world, only a minority of the population could awaken.

About 1% of the world's population are awakeners, and even the weakest among them are guaranteed to have a good life and a celebrity if they live long enough.

So, that's why many people like to self-insert themselves in these stories imagining themselves as awakeners.

But, there's one problem. It's a generic and overused setting at this point; there's literally nothing new.

The story plot goes like this, one day the main character gets awakened, the main got excited, then joins the hunter association, becomes a celebrity because they awakened a powerful skill, and then starts going to dungeons to hunt monsters after that a dungeon outbreak happens then the main character stopped the dungeon outbreak saving everyone at the area.

Something generic like that, at this point, could replace the genre xianxia.

Simply put, it's unimaginative. It's terrible; one or two might be okay, but thousands of them aren't.

Different places, same scenario. Every single one of them starts awakening a powerful skill.

No one bothered to start a new scenario, the worst part was that no one complained about it.

Wow…I can't believe it.

If this was my previous world, there's no doubt people would get sick reading the same piece of garbage every time.

It's like eating the same dish every day. Eventually, you get sick eating the same thing every single day.

However, this was a good thing for me. I'm about to revolutionize a new type of genre that was never written in this world's history.

A type of hunter story you say?

Let's see how they react to the type of stories that were very cliché back in my previous life but completely new in this world.

For example, the weak to strong type of story, the system, tower climbing, and regression.

Well then, let's shock these uncultured barbarian with cliché hunter stories!

It's been a few months since I've plagiarized a hunter story I copied from Earth, which is Solo Leveling.

To say that it was popular was an understatement. It was a worldwide phenomenon.

It shocked the entire world and revolutionized a massive spike of system-based-like stories.

The novel became number 1 in a matter of months; it broke the site where it was published. That's how popular that is.

Money was raining on me due to the massive amount of subscribers, and my life couldn't be more perfect than it already is.

But, unfortunately, a few days after, I was reminded once again that in this world, power matters, and no matter how peaceful the world might be on the surface, the world is, in fact, experiencing a dire situation.

A country-wide dungeon break happened; it was like hell manifested on Earth. It was so horrific that there's no word for how traumatic that event was.

Thanks to that incident, I've gained PTSD from loud screaming and bombing.

Due to luck, somehow I managed to survive this country-wide outbreak. I'm one of the very few minorities who survived this hellish event.

In recent history, this was the second most catastrophic dungeon outbreak aside from the first one.

The country became an inhospitable hellhole after the dungeon outbreak. It becomes a ghost town by definition.

That's why the survivors of this country immigrated to another country; with the previous population of this country initially a hundred million, there are only a few million left after the event.

That's how catastrophic the dungeon outbreak is.

I was no different from the rest, as I immigrated to a different country. Which was South Korea.

I didn't go there because it's the origin of Hunter X Tower stories back in my previous world, but because of the country statistics.

First of all, it's the country with the least dungeon outbreaks, not to mention that 10% of the awakeners are from there.

This means they have hundreds of S-rank class hunters ready to be deployed if there's ever another country-wide dungeon outbreak.

It means that the country is one of the safest on earth. However, there's a bit of a problem.

For me to own a permanent property or join a working establishment in South Korea. I needed to get a citizenship card, which is a very hassle to get.

There are a few ways to get it; the easiest, of course, is to be an awakener and register to their Hunter Country association.

However, that isn't available to me as I'm not an awakener.

The other is to use a connection to the higher-ups of the country, which I don't have and also costs a large amount of cash.

Either way, both are unavailable to me right now as I don't have the luxury of spending too much money.

While I do have a lot, it's not enough to last me a lifetime; at the very least, it could last me a decade at most.

That's why the only option I could have is to apply to the academy, which also costs money but is tolerable.

There, I could learn how to speak Korean and be literate in their language.

But here's the catch: you'll have to stay in the academy ground for the next two years without going out, and you'll have to follow the rules very carefully, or you'll be booted out of the country.

There's also the fact that you'll be carefully monitored, and the fact that the academy is more of a military base rather than a school.

Meaning that there would be no wifi, a strict sleeping schedule, and daily exercise for the next 2 years.

However, despite those harsh conditions. It's a safe place to be in; if this was me before the outbreak, there's no way I'd accept these conditions.

But I've changed a bit, as I prioritize my survival than anything else after the incident. I took this world more seriously after that hellish dungeon outbreak.

There's a reason why there are plenty of people dying in hunter stories, after all; for common people like us, this would be extremely dangerous.

That's why I have to adapt to this world's rules.

And that's how I decided to go to the academy for the citizenship card.

Korean, Seoul.

The capital of South Korea has been two years since I acquired citizenship in this country, and now I can speak the language.

A few days have passed after I came out of the academy and now on my way to the apartment I bought with a year of downpayment.

With my things in my backpack, I went to the floor where my room was; as I arrived at the place, I was greeted by a surprise.

As I was about to go into my apartment room, suddenly, a woman who was pretty wasted bumped into me.

I awkwardly said, "Miss are you-WHAT THE F-"

The drunken woman suddenly puked at my shirt making a mess out of it.

And that's how I met my future wife.

Gye Baek-Soon.

This is technically not a harem, as in the main world, Gye Baek Soon is the only woman he's going to be in a relationship with.

Btw if anyone is curious Gye Baek-Soon is a character from a manhwa called Unemployed Gye Baek-Soon.

As for the other world, depending on the circumstances, he'll either be married or have no relationship at all.
