A beautiful simple young woman with fiery blonde hair, sandy skin, and dark oak eyes was sitting in class with communicator on hand, playing a simple strategy game while dumping caffeine pills down her throat at rapid speed. Her eye's were slowly closing then with a sudden jolt she shoved another pill down her throat. The dark bags under her eyes slowly growing, as if she hasn't slept in days or even months. Chugging a good five more pills she stood up to the teacher.
"Teach I really need the nurse I don't feel so good."
"U-uh but we're in the middle of a lesson can't you... wait?"
Agitation filling her voice she snapped back at him.
"No I can't wait I'm leaving if you like it or not.."
With those words Scarlet stormed off to the nurse, her steps sounding like a march ready for war, but also filled with a hurry as if it was life or death if she doesn't get there this instance.
**
The door to the nurse swung open with rapid speed, the hinges rusted due to age squeaking and straining under the pressure of the swing. Then the nurse with worried eye's concerned on who just slammed into the room, saw Scarlet and her horrible deep eye bags, rushed over making sure she doesn't fall or go into slumber. Her brown hair flowing in the wind, the crazed and worried look in her green eye's, all following Scarlet and her falling body.
"Wait don't fall asleep I can already tell what's going on Scar!"
The panic in the voice almost sounded like she was going to die, well you can say that her death may have already been destined and may happen in the next few days.
The nurse grabbed Scarlet and slapping her awake multiple times, with in the swift motion she pushed her into a chair and grabbed a rope, tying her into the chair and grabbing her phone immediately dialing a unknown number, probably an awakened help center.
Scarlet's eyes were slowing growing heavier and heavier, soon feeling like they weigh an actual ton. She couldn't help but feel so tired after not sleeping for two weeks already, and with school pressing down on her already bad mental fatigue.
The nurse pushing Scarlet awake once again, then snapped at her.
"How long have you been infected, how come you're at school, does your family know, and why are you still here?"
Annoyed at the sudden barrage of questions she rolled her eyes and answered.
"I don't know maybe about two weeks? I wanted to, hell no I don't want them to worry, and because you seem safe to put trust in I guess?"
"You're an actual idiot Scarlet."
The nurse's face contorting with a sudden mix of emotions, anger, worry, and a bit more unable to name at the moment.
"Well stay awake as long as you can because a Awakened will be here soon and no it won't be Mongrel as he doesn't work for the government you fangirl."
'Dammit!'
Scarlet surprisingly enough does listen to Awakened news and is a crazy fangirl of Mongrel who happens to be the coolest and most mysterious hot hit on every platform recently, well that's besides Changing Star who in her opinion even cooler than Mongrel and also so much better looking. She only pays attention to games and class besides that and the games is really only one genre which happens to be strategy games where you take the role as a commander of forces. She can be counted as a very boring person to talk to and usually is with everyone else besides family which now a days she doesn't talk to as much as she wants too.
With all that yelling and question answering Scarlet feels a tiny bit more awake then she was earlier but her eyes and mind still feel so heaving to hold then usual so defiantly a bit to hard to handle a proper conversation. She still can't believe she has a chance to die from a stupid thing called Nightmare Spell, and usually would have a whole rant about how dumb the name is to it but sadly she no longer has the energy at the moment.
The nurse's voice echo's through the room hinting that she's worried and afraid due to the tone.
"Please don't fall asleep anytime soon Scarlet.. The awakened may be late due to a gate nearby and well.. they said you take the least amount of priority."
'Wow I can't believe that.. I'm useless and my life doesn't matter to them like at all, just heartbroken'
Sadly Scarlet couldn't listen to the nurse as well as she liked too because her eyes were slowly closing and growing heavier by the minute, and worse of all her own nurse, a staff member at her school was looking at her with fear and anger just because she's an infected or probably she's at school being one well that doesn't matter much to her anyways.
Yet with those last thoughts leaving her mind another thing took place of them, absolute darkness and a sweet caring voice ringing in her mind.
