(Aurora=Magnus's father)
(Cassie=Magnus's mother )
Aurora burst into the room after hearing Cassius scream in pain. Her eyes widened in horror at the sight before her.Cassius lay on ground clutching his wounded arm.
"Are you okay?," she cooed, her voice soft and soothing. "We'll get you fixed up, don't worry."
Then, her gaze snapped to Magnus, her eyes blazing with anger. "You," she spat, her voice venomous. "You ungrateful child."
Without warning, she slapped Magnus across the face, the sound echoing through the room. Magnus stumbled back, his cheek stinging from the impact.
"How could you do this to Cassius?" she demanded, her voice rising. "He's been like a father to you, and this is how you repay him?"
Magnus rubbed his sore cheek, feeling a mix of pain and resentment. He knew he'd gone too far, but he couldn't help the anger that had driven him to lash out.
As Magnus's mother gave in to her rage, she repeatedly kicked Magnus into the wall, her anger and frustration boiling over. Magnus tried to protect himself, but her kicks were relentless.
The physical confrontation seemed to be an intense release of pent-up emotions for her, but it would likely leave Magnus battered and bruised, both physically and emotionally.
Aurora unleashed her fury, her words cutting deep as she repeatedly kicked Magnus into the wall. "You're a bad child!" she spat, her voice venomous. "Ungrateful, disobedient, and violent! You have no respect for anyone, especially Cassius, who has done so much for you!"
With each kick, she hurled more insults. "You're selfish, Magnus! You only think of yourself and your own desires. You never consider how your actions affect others. You're a disappointment, a constant source of stress and worry."
As she continued to beat him, her anger seemed to fuel her words. "You'll never amount to anything, Magnus! You're going to end up in trouble, and it's going to be all your own fault. You're so headstrong and stubborn, refusing to listen to anyone or learn from your mistakes."
Magnus tried to defend himself, but her attacks were relentless. He felt battered and bruised, both physically and emotionally, as her words cut deep into his psyche.
Layla's curiosity and concern for her brother got the better of her, and she quietly slipped out of her room, despite being told to stay inside. She made her way to the scene of the commotion, her heart racing with worry.
As she turned the corner, she was met with a disturbing sight: Magnus lay on the ground, battered and bruised, while their mother stood over him, her face twisted in anger. Layla's eyes widened in shock and fear as she took in the scene.
"Mother...please stop," Layla whispered, her voice trembling as she rushed to Magnus's side. She knelt down beside him, gently touching his bruised face. "Brother...oh, Magnus."
Layla's presence seemed to momentarily snap her mother back to reality, and she took a step back, her chest heaving with exertion. Layla's concern was solely for her brother's well-being, and she glared up at their mother, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and accusation.
Aurora anger seemed to intensify as she turned her attention to Layla. "You were told to stay in your room!" she exclaimed, her voice rising. "Why do you keep disobeying me?"
With a swift motion, she grabbed Layla's hair and pulled her away from Magnus. Layla cried out in pain and shock as her mother dragged her across the floor.
"You're just like your brother," her mother spat, her anger and frustration boiling over. "Ungrateful and disobedient. You think you can just do whatever you want, whenever you want?"
Layla struggled to free herself, but her mother's grip was tight. "Let me go, Mother!" she pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
Her mother's expression was twisted in anger. "You're going to learn to obey me, Layla. One way or another."
Magnus's eyes fluttered open, and he was met with a scene that filled him with anguish and guilt. Layla, his sister, was being dragged across the floor by their mother, her hair clutched in her tight fist. Magnus's heart sank as he realized that Layla's punishment was a direct result of his actions.
He struggled to sit up, wincing in pain as his bruised body protested. His eyes locked onto Layla's tear-stained face, and he felt a wave of remorse wash over him. This was all his fault. He had brought this down on his family, and now Layla was paying the price.
Magnus's feelings of guilt and shame were mixed with a deep-seated anger towards his family. Why did they have to be so cruel? Why did they have to take out their frustrations on him and Layla? He hated the way they treated him, the way they made him feel like he was worthless.
As he watched Layla being beaten, Magnus's desire to escape intensified. He couldn't take much more of this. He had to get out, not just for himself, but for Layla's sake as well. He couldn't bear the thought of her suffering because of him.
But as he looked at his family, Magnus realized that his actions had only made things worse. He had sparked a chain reaction of violence and anger, and now Layla was caught in the crossfire. Magnus felt a sense of despair wash over him.
