Chapter 1 - Prologue : Plane Crash

In the midst of the night, a loud voice echoed through the whole plane.

"Emergency Landing! Brace for impact!"

The shouts of the flight attendants jolts both Raina and Yeline awake from slumber. Both their hands grips onto the edges of the chair, nervously shaking from time to time. When looking out of the window, they could only see gray smoke covering their sights.

An unexpected thunderstorm wreaks havoc on the whole plane, making everyone panic. The shaking from the ground to the walls doesn't cease for a single second. The cries and shouts of the people were drowned by the constant lightning strikes.

The dream vacation that the two had planned on their break may never see the light of day. Unable to muster a word, the two thought back on what the weird lady had told them days ago.

"Do not, under any circumstance, travel during these dates."

She had given a manual to the early Spring Festival so they initially thought nothing of it. It was supposed to just be a scam for people like them and here they were. Their lives were in danger because they didn't listen to an old lady dressed like she was going to the beach.

Yelina had kept her mind at bay and successfully followed instructions from the attendants. Both of them had carefully listened to the introductions making sure to not miss anything. This time it was for good.

Without needing to say anything much, Raina grabbed Yeline's hand. They stayed still for a very long time, keeping their breaths stable. If they follow directions, they would surely survive this little bump in the ride.

Within the next few seconds, their expectations were not spared. Everything went downhill as the people tightly held onto themselves. Everyone could feel their adrenaline pumping as the plane crashed.

Boom!

Minutes pass by and soon turns into hours. Her hands felt the cold water brushing against her skin. Something wasn't quite right about this situation. Yeline slowly opened her eyes, finding herself on a beach.

She gathers her last energy getting up from the cold spot. In a panic state, she hurriedly glances at her surroundings, taking in everything. Something was very wrong with this situation. No matter how far she ran, she couldn't find the plane or her sister. There were no bodies washed up from the shore.

Even stranger than before, she felt her hair swishing from side to side as if they had grown long in the span of the whole plane crash. Glancing down at herself, she realized she was dressed in a historical attire, something she wasn't wearing on the plane.

The sound of a nearby boat caught her ears. People began yelling in a foreign dialect that she could somehow understand. When reaching the ports, she hurriedly asked around her.

"Has anyone seen a girl with straight hair wearing overalls? Or maybe even a part of a plane?"

They all stared at her as if she was some sort of alien. The people who had stopped to look at her seemed worried. Others shook their heads and continued on their way.

"Aren't you the son of Feng Yi? What are you doing, all soaked?"

She turns to the voice, seeing a middle aged woman approaching her. A pang of pain hits her head as she tries to backtrack. Images of somebody else's life began playing.

"Aunt Jiao?"
