Synopsis
Ron's journey through the pirate world took an unexpected turn. After steadily climbing to the rank of Vice Admiral, a disastrous incident led to his expulsion from the Navy: the Celestial Dragon he was protecting suffered severe injuries. Just as he believed his career was over, a **god-level entertainment system** activated. This system not only brought the internet to the pirate world but also introduced various entertainment devices and apps from Earth. Best of all, Ron received rebates every time someone spent money within these apps. From TikTok to King of Glory, Tomato Free Novels to Dungeon & Fighter and PUBG, the possibilities were endless. To usher in a new era and combat the prevalent violence, Ron began distributing smartphones globally, introducing apps one by one. The pirate world was irrevocably changed: On Amazon Lily, women and children alike embraced new dance trends, and Empress Hancock captivated millions with her charm. Hawkeye Mihawk became engrossed in web novels, dreaming of splitting the heavens with his sword. Scientific rivals like Vegapunk, Vinsmoke, Caesar, and Quinn competed in online inventor challenges, ultimately being won over by Wapometal. Kaido faced repeated defeats, even experiencing an offline "solo-kill." Big Mom abandoned piracy, completely addicted to TV dramas. Shanks resorted to eating the "Face-Face Fruit" to maintain his respect. The Five Elders were heard yelling at their online teammates, "Ron and the Four Emperors, all five of you get on your accounts!" Im silently observed the collapse of his 800-year-unchanged world, transformed in a single year. ----- Image not mine

Chapter 1 - 1. Fired for slacking off? A belated system!

Official Marine Document

"Name: Ron"

"Gender: Male"

"Origin: East Blue"

"Position: Admiral Candidate at Marine Headquarters"

"Charges: Abandoning duty during combat operations, indirectly causing severe injuries to Celestial Dragons Saint Nasujuro and Saint Charlos, gross negligence of duty, and desertion!"

"Sentence: Stripped of all ranks, authority, assets, and privileges. Expelled from the Marines with permanent prohibition from re-enlistment!"

"Execute immediately!"

"Date: Marine Calendar Year 1522"

High above the clouds, where white mist stretched endlessly across the sky, a motorboat maintained steady flight. Bold letters adorned its hull: WE NEWS!

This was the mobile headquarters of Morgans, the influential president behind the World Economic Journal.

"Kwahahaha! Ron, I can't believe those Marine fools actually expelled you!" Morgans laughed. "You were the strongest fighter in the entire Marine force, and they dismissed you for slacking off? Has Fleet Admiral Sengoku finally lost his mind?"

"So, what are your plans now? How about joining me and creating news that will shake the entire world!" With theatrical flair, Morgans collapsed into a luxurious lounge chair, leisurely puffing on an expensive cigar while keeping his sharp eyes fixed on Ron, who was slowly savoring his glass of red wine.

Ron's expression remained completely unchanged, as if Morgans' words hadn't reached his ears. He continued methodically tasting the wine, each sip deliberate and measured.

"Hey! Ron, don't think I won't throw you overboard just because I owe you a huge favor!" Seeing Ron's complete lack of response, Morgans raised his voice.

Still, Ron remained silent.

Morgans felt his anger rising. Ever since he had 'rescued' this man from the Calm Belt, Ron had been exactly like this—silent as the grave, refusing to speak even a single word, as if he had suffered some tremendous psychological shock.

"Ron, although your combat strength once reached the absolute peak of Marine power, that was over ten years ago. You're forty-seven now, nearly fifty, and your body is riddled with ailments. Listen to my advice—stop being stubborn and just rest peacefully during your twilight years, okay?" Morgans sighed deeply, shaking his head as he observed the man before him.

This person's life had been nothing short of legendary throughout the entire Marine organization, yet he was cast out simply because some damned Celestial Dragons got injured!

Damn it all! Where was the justice in that?

"Ron, listen to your old friend's counsel. There are countless pirates across the seas who want your head. Previously, the Marine's reputation provided you temporary protection. But now you're in your declining years, your body is weak and plagued with chronic conditions. You can't even safely cross the Calm Belt anymore, so what's the point of stirring up trouble?"

"This arrangement is for the best. Tomorrow I'll publish a newspaper announcing your death, then help you find a peaceful, remote island where you can recuperate during your remaining years. Nobody will disturb you there—how does that sound?" Morgans continued talking, showing no signs of annoyance despite the one-sided conversation.

After rambling for an extended period, he finally glanced up only to discover that Ron had actually fallen asleep!

"..."

"I must have owed you something in a past life!" Morgans shook his head helplessly. "Think it over carefully and give me your answer tomorrow morning." He grumbled under his breath but still quietly exited the lounge, carefully closing the door behind him to leave Ron undisturbed.

Ron lay on the sofa with steady breathing and closed eyes, but he wasn't truly asleep. He was reflecting on his genuinely extraordinary life, and a subtle smile gradually formed at the corner of his mouth.

He was a transmigrator. Forty-seven years ago, his soul had traveled into the body of a newborn infant who had been abandoned to die. He nearly froze to death in the wilderness, but fortunately, his loud crying attracted attention—otherwise, he would have perished immediately after transmigrating.

Afterward, he was raised by an ordinary Marine soldier. When his adoptive father died, he too enlisted in the Marines.

In that era of the pirate world, Monkey D. Luffy hadn't even been born yet. During his numerous voyages, he faced the most notorious and powerful pirates of the age: Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, Shiki the Golden Lion, Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate, Wang Zhi, Captain John, and many others!

He gradually rose from being a complete unknown to becoming an Admiral candidate, eventually being internally designated for full Admiral rank, with combat prowess reaching the absolute pinnacle of Marine strength!

Such power was genuinely terrifying!

It could be said that the Marines viewed him as a monster, while pirates desperately wanted him dead!

As for the Celestial Dragons, he had indeed killed several of them, but always in complete secrecy. He simply hadn't expected those two particular World Nobles to survive this time, which led to his current punishment. Fortunately, his past contributions were so significant that those in power refrained from executing him directly, choosing instead to merely expel him from the Marines.

"How utterly boring... cough, cough, cough, cough..." His chronic illness flared up again. The violent coughing fit kept him wide awake. He reached for the newspaper on the nearby table and began reading. The most prominent feature was his own expulsion order displayed on the front page.

"Time passes so quickly. It's already the year 1522. I suppose that makes me an old man by pirate world standards now. Forty-seven years have vanished in what feels like an instant!" he murmured softly. "I'm probably the most unfortunate transmigrator in existence. I didn't even receive the standard system that others get—I relied entirely on my own efforts to reach the summit step by step! It was incredibly difficult!"

"No one assisted me in achieving my lofty ambitions, so I trudged through the snow to reach the mountain peak by myself!" Ron took several large gulps of wine, and his expression gradually became melancholic.

The pirate world was filled with brutality, bloodshed, and endless warfare. Arson, murder, robbery, and pillaging occurred every single moment. He wondered when this place might become as peaceful and comfortable as the World he remembered from his previous life.

Moreover, life within the Marines had been monotonously repetitive. Besides hunting pirates, he was being hunted by pirates. He was either actively fighting or traveling to the next battle.

He had grown weary of such an existence. Being expelled now felt like a liberation, but in the future, he would face pursuit from tens of thousands of vengeful pirates. With his current deteriorated physical condition... "Cough, cough, cough, cough..." Another violent coughing fit seized him. Ron felt as though his lungs might actually be expelled from his body.

Excessive training had led to the complete exhaustion and premature decline of his bodily functions, making him far less capable than during his prime years.

Everything always came with a price. To gain something, you had to sacrifice something else in return. Everything that seemed free had already been clearly marked with its hidden cost.

"This world has become too tedious. It would be wonderful if something interesting actually happened. I've spent my entire life fighting pirates—shouldn't I be able to enjoy myself just a little?" he muttered quietly.

Staring at the translucent blue screen that had materialized before him, Ron's mind went completely blank. He gazed in stunned silence at everything displayed, and only after a considerable time did he regain his composure. "De... delayed activation for forty-seven years???"

"What the hell!" Ron exploded with rage, nearly choking on his own breath. "Cough, cough, cough, cough!!!" "I've never heard of needing an activation phrase to unlock a system! I'm practically on my deathbed—what's the point of appearing now!"

"Cough, cough, cough, cough... And a God-level Entertainment System at that! So I can be entertained for two years before dying, is that it?"

[Please open the Beginner's Gift Package - Enhanced Edition as soon as possible. It will be automatically forfeited if not opened within three minutes.]

"Fine, I'll open it!" Ron took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself. He inhaled again and tried to relax. Even being entertained for a few years would be preferable to his current situation—it was certainly more interesting than dying alone and forgotten.

As he listened to the system's voice echoing within his mind, Ron noticed a tube of luminescent green elixir had appeared beside his wine glass, radiating intense vitality. Just inhaling its fragrant aroma made his breathing noticeably smoother and more comfortable.
