“Before the reckoning of days and the weaving of stars, the Wheel turned upon the face of the deep, and by the casting of lots was dominion given to LUMAD, the First Maker, who raised the isles from the abyss and wrought the gods of sky, stone, dream, and sea. As the gods strive and the people of the isles lift their songs, LUMAD resteth crowned upon the Dragon’s Beak, His dreams binding the world. But it is told that at the last turning of the Wheel, the First and the Last shall awaken, unmaking all, and shaping anew the worlds and gods yet to be.”

2. In days before the Genesis, before the reckoning of suns and moons, before the stars were counted and named,


the Wheel was cast upon the face of the deep, and it did turn.


3. Lo, upon the turning Wheel the lots were cast,


that it might be known to whom the dominion over the seas should fall.
