Elsa stared at him, arms still crossed, her green eyes burning with challenge.
Kael looked at her calmly, then said:
> "No."
She blinked. "What?"
> "I'm not fighting you. I need to rest."
His tone was cool, unwavering like someone who wasn't even slightly provoked.
Before he realized it, her fist was flying toward his face mana-infused and laced with intent.
Kael's hand shot up without hesitation, catching her punch midair.
There was no shock in his face. Only a quiet glare that said Don't try that again.
Elsa's eyes widened slightly.
Then she grinned.
> "So you are strong," she said, pulling her hand back. "Fine. I can't change your answer now…"
She turned, waving over her shoulder with a half-smile.
> "But I will soon."
With that, she walked off.
Kael exhaled and turned back to the door, unlocking it with his watch.
As the door slid open, he was met with an interior that could only be described as luxurious. The room looked more like a high-end penthouse than a student dorm.
Marble floors, elegant lighting, a full kitchen with sleek, futuristic appliances, a living room with plush couches, a massive holoscreen, and a private bedroom with an en-suite washroom. Every detail was polished, perfect, and top-tier.
Kael stepped in slowly, glancing around.
> "Guess it isn't a problem for the richest privately owned academy in the world," he muttered with a small smirk.
He tossed his bag down and sank into the couch, letting his body relax.
After a moment, he picked up a black notebook from his ring one he had prepared before arriving.
Opening it to a blank page, he whispered to himself:
> "Time to see how to grow stronger."
