A room sealed away from the sunlight, it's curtains drawn tight, drowning everything in darkness. The only source of light is from Aki Toshiba's Gaming PC. Aki is a 17 year old boy who lives on his own.He is rather thin due to not eating for the past 3 days. Whenever he starts a new game eating and sometimes sleeping became optional, he is the self proclaimed best gamer in Japan after all.
He has short black hair with blue tips at the end of each strand. His iris is black in colour and his eyes have dark bags a sign of lack of sleep for the past three days.
He sighs heavily, a long yawn escapes his lips as he leans back in his chair [Aki stretching]:"That's the end of that... Gotta say The Path To Divinity was a pretty easy even though it was just a demo[he leans forward and glanced at the corner of his screen]three days huh,I probably should orders some pizza and take a 3 hour nap while the next game downloads."
When he stood up, the full disaster of his room came into view — garbage bags slumped against the wall, half-empty food boxes and soda cans littering the floor, and clothes piled like fallen soldiers.
Aki grabbed his phone from the desk, thumbed through his usual delivery app, and ordered a large pepperoni pizza — extra cheese, no vegetables, of course.
Aki sank back into his gaming chair, eyes once again we're glued to the screen.[Aki in his head]:" What game should I download this time; An RPG sounds good, a shooter will be fun and long or maybe just 4x strategy game, the options are endless."
A as popped up on Aki's screen.
[Aki clicking it]: Hello...What are you?" The add loaded up:' VIRTUAL MAYHEM-a virtual reality fantasy game that feels way to real! Take a chance of living a new Life.'
Aki leaned forward reading the description with growing. [Aki grinning]:" Sounds fun, I'll be done in a week or two if it's short or a month or two if it's long. Let's download you."
Just as his finger hovered over the download button a knock echoed at the door. [Guy at the door]:" Pizza delivery for an...Aki Toshiba." Aki looked at the ad and back at the door. He decided to download the game while he went to get the pizza.
But when he clicked the download button his entire room was filled with a blinding blue light and when it ended Aki was nowhere In sight.
A few seconds later the pizza delivery stepped into Aki's room, scanning the empty room. [Pizza delivery guy]:" Guess no one's home, free pizza for me." He shrugged, opened the box, grabbed a slice and took a hearty bite from it. Then his eyes flicked to the glowing gaming PC, and a mischievous grin spread across his face.
Aki slowly opened his eyes- only to slam them shut again as harsh sunlight stabbed into them. He started touching around to get a feel of his surroundings. Heat pressed down at him from every direction. He reached out with his hands, trying to understand his surroundings, and all he felt was burning sand slipping between his fingers.
He once again opened his eyes more cautiously and to strangely they didn't hurt from the sunlight. He opened his mouth and let out a loud scream as the sight of his surroundings hit him. He was no longer in the comfort of his room instead he was in the middle of a desert—endless dunes stretching to the horizon, broken only by the occasional dried shrub or cactus.
[Aki panicking]:" Where the fuck am I! Am I dead or maybe passed out for not eating and sleeping? Yes! This must be a dream so all I need to do is pinch myself and I'll wake up."He brought his hands closer to his face and gently pressed his fingers on his cheeks.
[Aki in pain]:"Owww! That hurt more than than it should..." That's when he noticed his body wasn't his body. His once scrawny, sleep-deprived frame was now taller, muscular, defined, buzzing with strength he never had before.[ Aki panicking again this time more confused and rolling in the sand]:" How is this possible! Why is this happening to me! This isn't a dream, is it? Whose body is this? I want to go back home!"
As he spiraled into self-pity and confusion, a calm, gentle female voice echoed around him[Female voice]:" Player Aki Toshiba successfully logged into the world."Aki jerked his head up. Floating in front of him was a glowing blue status screen, hovering silently in the air.
Aki stared at the floating screen for a moment before reaching out to touch it. His fingers passed straight through it. [Aki]:" What the hell is this thing...?" [Female voice]:" Hello Aki Toshiba-and welcome to Virtual Mayhem." [Aki in his mind]:" Did it just talk to me.(Talking to the screen) Hi...can you tell me where I-I am...and what I'm doing here." The screen moved closer. [Screen]:" You are in a new world of fantasy magic and other stuff, specifically in the Justia nation, within the Khomir desert. For why you are here, He, creator of both worlds chose you to leave your shitty sorry excuse for a life, no offense, and start a fresh life in this world."
Aki's eye twitched with fury. [Aki in his mind]:" Did she just call my former life trash...[sighs]but I guess she's right, I had no friends,I never left the house and the only people I talked to was my uncle(who provided me with my monthly allowance for food and games) and the delivery guys.( Talking to the screen) So why me of all the people. [Screen]:" Let's say the creator saw you the best candidate for this." [Aki]:" Yeah I think I pass on your offer now take me home." [Screen]:" I can't."
Aki pouted, dropping onto the sand and curling up in a ball. [Aki sadly]:" Fine I won't do anything you say,I'll just stay right here." The screen floated down to his eye level. [Screen]:" Fine stay here and let all the hungry monsters feed on you for all I care." Aki shot up to his feet after hearing that. The thought of being torn limb from limb by a monster made him sweat bullets. [Aki nervous]:" W-wait... Please don't shut down or something. I'll cooperate,just explain what I have to do..."
A smirk icon appeared on the screen. [Screen cheekily]:" I knew that would make you cooperate. Your task is just to live this brand new life to it's fullest: Become stronger, have fun, make friends, get a girlfriend and most importantly survive. I'll give you the power and you just enjoy yourself."
Aki's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. [Aki excited]:" Does that mean I'm going to be OP." [Screen laughing]:" Hell no! He thought it'll be fun to give your race, special ability and weapon through the...lottery system. So you'll be spinning the wheel!"
[Aki a bit mad]:" "So this creator yeeted me into another world just for his own entertainment…Fine. Let's get this over with." On the screen a wheel popped up. The first thing was race. Aki let out a heavy sigh and spun it. It went around for a while and stopped. [Screen]:" Well I guess you're still a human nothing special there." [Aki]:" That doesn't really matter much, the next two are what's important." He spun the wheel again hoping for a good skill,it stopped. [Screen genuinely shocked]:" Wow! You have obtained a very special skill, Overdrive, Too bad you can't use it until you fulfill mysterious, unknown, vague, pointless conditions I'm not allowed to tell you." Aki first was excited but after hearing he can only unlock it fulfilling unknown conditions his excitement deflated like a balloon. He hoped his weapon will carry him. He gulped and spun the wheel a third time, sweating like the sun personally wanted him dead. The wheel spun around and slowly stopped. [Screen]:" Impossible! You're lucky is quite impressive Aki. You have received a weapon lost in the history of this world, The Axium Blade, a god tier weapon forged in the heavens."
A burst of light flashed, and suddenly, a sleek black katana appeared in Aki's hand.He unsheathed it, revealing a matte black blade with a glowing blue line down the dull side.[Aki swinging it wildly like a kid with a toy]:" Oh hell yeah! This looks sick! Guess I finally lucked out. Finally something to look forward to in this life( only I don't know how to use it). Anyway, screen, you said it was forged in heaven right? Is that where this creator resides?"
