Alian froze for a few seconds, his eyes flaring with anger. "What the hell are you talking about?" His voice dropped low, but it was clear that he couldn't contain the fury simmering inside.
I just stood there, smiling softly but with defiance. "I'm only speaking the truth. If you're so sure Dennis is your son, then just show proof. Otherwise..." I left the sentence hanging, but the meaning was clear in the air.
Jackie, still standing silently beside me, exuded an overwhelming presence. Despite his anger, Alian didn't dare act rashly. Jackie wasn't just the man at my side; he was someone whose power far surpassed Alian's. That fact alone gave me the courage to stand here, unafraid of facing Alian head-on.
"I don't need to prove anything to you, Elwyn." Alian gritted his teeth, his voice laced with barely suppressed frustration. "Dennis is my son. I can take him whenever I want."
