FENG LANG
"Wutao! Wutao!"
I roared as I charged after the frail creature whose wet sweatpants made a swish sound every time its thighs rubbed against each other.
It turned around, its hollow eyes going wide from how close I was. So wide that I saw its eyeballs dangling within their sockets.
Thud
Thud
The creature's heart pumped against its chest, its ragged breathing falling loud on my ears.
Splat
Splat
Splat
Its bare feet hit the wet floor, echoing through the night.
It was raining now.
A loud thunder clapped in the distance, a flash of lightning providing momentary brightness, just in time for me to see the private jet descending.
The creature was running towards it at full speed.
"Wutao!" I screamed again.
I was suddenly in my car, my hands tightly around the steering wheel.
The engine of my car roared as I pressed on the accelerator, my own clothes and shoes wet from the rain.
