They were tightly bound.
Seeing them directly in front of her like that, Diana was momentarily disbelieving.
Initially, when she heard the sounds, she thought it was only Sabins and Reggie, but unexpectedly, the other three had also been silently brought into this office.
Her first reaction was fear; the next instant, Diana thought that the Community needed to strengthen its patrols and not just rely on high walls.
But then Diana realized, what was the point of thinking about these things now?
Including herself, everyone was already under the opponent's control. Diana couldn't even imagine what Alexandria would become next.
The rest of the search party was still out searching for supplies, and most of the remaining residents were 'functional' talents.
They were suitable for various industries, but they were not good at combat, and they definitely wouldn't be able to hold out against this group of people.
Plus, with the unified weapon management policy, weapons couldn't be distributed to everyone immediately...
Her mind raced, but after much thought, Diana despairingly realized that the vast Alexandria was truly going to be taken over by these four individuals.
The once seemingly meticulously planned defense strategies appeared utterly ridiculous when everything truly arrived.
"You've won. You can take everything you want, but please spare their lives."
Diana was no longer as capable as she had been a moment ago. She was like a defeated rooster, her once proudly raised head now hanging low.
She abandoned her dignity as a 'Councilor,' bowing her head before Shawn, her tone desolate, her demeanor subdued.
Shawn, on the other hand, heard Diana's words but did not respond.
He merely opened the drawer beneath the table, pulled out a short knife, and, under Diana's gaze, approached Reggie.
"No!"
"No, please let him go!"
Diana's eyes were red, and she was almost hoarse.
"You can take anything you want, anything you... can... can..."
As Diana spoke, her voice suddenly lowered considerably.
She stared blankly as Shawn untied Reggie and gently helped him up from the ground.
And Daryl and the others who came with Shawn were doing the same thing.
"Huh?"
Diana looked at their actions, momentarily bewildered.
She only cared about embracing Reggie after he was untied, and as she felt his body warmth, this woman, who had been strong for half her life, finally felt a slight sense of relief.
"So, who exactly are you?"
Diana looked at Shawn; she knew he was the leader of this group.
Shawn stepped forward and extended his hand to Diana, shaking hers.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shawn. I'm from Georgia, further south, and I am the leader of the Survivor Camp."
Diana was somewhat surprised as she held Shawn's large hand. She hadn't expected this tall Chinese man in front of her to also be a 'leader.'
"Diana. As you can see, I am the administrator of Alexandria Community."
...
15 minutes later.
Shawn and Diana, along with their companions, sat on the sofa. Diana brewed a full pot of her prized black tea.
Shawn brought the black tea to his mouth, his eyes narrowing.
He still couldn't get used to the taste of foreign black tea; it was very bitter and strange.
Shawn put down his teacup and looked at Diana.
"So, that's the whole process."
"We received news about Alexandria in Georgia, then searched all the way until we're sitting on this sofa now."
Shawn spoke casually, but everyone knew how difficult 'long-distance travel' was in this apocalypse.
But looking at Shawn and the others' rosy complexions, they gained a new understanding of Shawn's group.
However, as everyone was processing the information, Spencer suddenly stood up from the sofa with a 'whoosh.'
He glared at Shawn, his words showing no respect or reverence for a strong person.
"You mean, because you think we're too weak, you wanted to give us a good beating, right?!"
Spencer squeezed the words through his clenched teeth. After speaking, he angrily shuffled two steps in place, then instantly charged towards Shawn!
Atlanta Spencer
It was in that instant that everyone reacted differently.
If time were slowed down, one would see that Diana's side, apart from those still unconscious, all showed expressions of unexpected surprise.
Diana raised her hand to grab her son, but she was a beat too slow against the actions of the hot-blooded young man.
And on Shawn's side.
Daryl and the others were either sitting on the sofa next to Shawn, or coolly leaning against the back of the sofa, or idly fiddling with the decorations on the bookcase.
But the moment Spencer moved, it was as if they had eyes all over their bodies, reacting instantly!
Daryl sidestepped, snatched a pen from the office desk, removed the cap, and held the tip in reverse, subtly pointing it at Spencer.
Merle picked up the steaming teapot, lifted the lid, and made to splash it.
Tallahassee reached into his in my arms and was about to pull out his limited edition nunchaku, but to Diana's eyes, it looked as if he was about to pull out a gun immediately.
But before he could react, Shawn waved his hand and slowly stood up.
As soon as Spencer entered his arm's length, Shawn directly gripped his throat with one hand.
From the side, it looked as if Spencer had voluntarily offered his neck into Shawn's palm.
Shawn tilted his head at him, lifting him up bit by bit by his jawbone.
Spencer's feet gradually dangled in the air. He tightly gripped the back of Shawn's hand with both hands, his lower body struggling uncontrollably, but it was useless.
Shawn's strength was so great that Spencer felt as if he had only seen it on a machine before.
'Is he a beast?! How can he have such strength?'
Spencer raised his head, squinting, unable to break free. He could only try his best to breathe air to avoid hypoxia.
But Shawn's hand began to slowly apply pressure, until Spencer even felt he could hear his bones making popping sounds.
"Please spare him!"
Diana and Reggie could no longer sit still and immediately got up from the sofa, pleading.
Their concern for their child even surpassed their surprise at Shawn's astonishing display.
Shawn ignored them, merely lifting Spencer to his eye level and saying softly,
"Next time, if you speak to me in that tone again, I will snap your neck."
Shawn was given the title of 'Warden' by the Governor, and the Warden's dignity naturally would not allow this guy, whose feathers had grown in but whose heart was still that of a child, to trample on it.
Frankly speaking.
With Shawn's methods, not tearing him apart directly without a word was already Shawn trying his best to convey his goodwill to Alexandria.
