The mana began to flow in slowly.
Reis was used to this mana, so it only felt like a comfortable thread tying across his veins at first, even though the amount was higher.
But it continued to flow in. Not too much at once. Yvaion wasn't sending too much, just enough to form a barrier that could last slightly longer.
For Reis, it felt like a surge. An overwhelming pressure of mana.
"Your body isn't prepared for this."
Just keep going. I can handle this much.
This was the only thing he could do now. He wouldn't die from this; it didn't feel that bad.
But he didn't notice what the guardian did. He didn't know how his veins barely held the mana inside without bursting.
"I recommend teleporting those in this area instead."
These little creatures were what the human was most concerned with. Teleporting them to safety would be possible without any intervention in this nonsense.
Reis didn't answer to that, stubbornly taking the mana.
