*4 YEARS LATER*
*King Lucifer's POV*
'So, he hasn't moved on at all.' I thought as I slowly walked through his room.
Crown Prince Isaiah. The man I wanted to be dead and I still do want him dead.
There were already rumours that he is interested in Red Moon but it wasn't really confirmed until recently.
He was an ideal Crown Prince. The type that citizens look up to but they certainly didn't know one thing.
This man is completely obsessed with Red Moon.
They disappeared together for a couple of days.
And then, Empress found her son lying unconscious inside his room.
But, the thing that really interested everyone was how the Crown Prince acted after that.
Was he wise and developed the empire? Sure.
But he seemed like a nutcase at times.
He would stare blankly into the void.
He doesn't even try to stop people when they are spying on him. What a fool!
On top of that, he even designed his whole room symbolising Red Moon. Which is even more of foolishness but at least he is honest about it.
I slowly picked up the book which was lying open on the table.
It is about Red Moon. Again.
I put the book slowly down and took out a bottle.
The bottle contained poison.
Invisible. Deadly.
I slowly sprinkled it over all the shelves filled with books.
Truly, that Crown Prince has no wish for his own life.
No guards, no magical enchantment. Nothing.
I have already sent assassins but it seemed like they were rather a mere entertaining distraction than a threat to him.
Which to be honest, isn't surprising considering that he has taken serious hits from Red Moon.
I put the poison bottle inside a filthy bag and placed it behind one of the shelves.
Then, I sat on the tree near the window.
There was no risk in this.
My invisibility magic is in its strongest stage. Additionally, I am also interested in seeing the Crown Prince after almost 4 years.
I waited for less than a minute before a figure walked in.
The same white hair, blue eyes, and well-trained body.
But, the face has noticeably aged. The blue eyes containing exhaustion and overwork instead of the beaming youth it once did.
Crown Prince slowly took the same open book in his hands. His lips curving into a smile. But it was more about regret than happiness.
He took a deep breath and exhaled.
'Good,' I thought as I relaxed back and slowly leaned onto the tree.
And just when I thought that the Crown Prince didn't notice me.
The pair of blue eyes were staring right at me.
