"Come here, Daniel."
The Crown Prince said as his eyes washed over me. His gaze was pointed at me like a blade. Piercing through my soul even before I could feel it. And somewhere in those blade-like eyes, I could see arrogance and amusement as if, it was trying to taunt me.
Just as I was about to get up, I saw a black fox jumping into his room through the window.
The Crown Prince's eyes looked down at the black fox which now sat just beside his feet.
His eyes softened as he reached out pat the Black Fox.
'So, he is Daniel?' I thought.
I slowly started pulling out the dagger inside my coat. Well, it is clear that even the new poison couldn't kill Crown Prince Isaiah. So, why don't I just attack him head on?
The worst that could happen was that I would also suffer, and he still wouldn't be dead.
Keeping that in mind, I lunged at Crown Prince Isaiah.
*FEW HOURS LATER*
There is something that I learned today.
I learned never to trust my guts.
The worst that could happen? Well, I thought at worst I would become injured and maybe thrown in jail.
That nutcase Crown Prince blocked all my attacks and chained me. Which, to be honest, didn't surprise me. But what he did after that was more of a sin on his side.
He forced me to write every conversation that I had with Red Moon, word for word. The worst part was that the last conversation that I had with Red Moon was over 6 years ago. I do remember all the contents of what we talked about at that time. But I don't remember word for word of course.
I tried telling Crown Prince that I don't remember exactly every sentence he spoke.
The Crown Prince's lips curled into a polite smile that didn't reach his eyes as he said
"Well, either you write or you should be prepared to stab yourself every day from now." Then he locked the window.
He took his pet fox and exited the room before locking the door.
I sighed as I got up.
Well, it is indeed a sin on his part to leave me alone in his room.
*ISAIAH'S POV*
I knew from the moment that I walked in.
My room, which usually smelled like old books and roses, smelled like poison. Again.
'New poison?' I thought at that time.
King Lucifer has never stopped giving me gifts from time to time. Sometimes poisoned tea or wine ,and at other times, actual people who knew nothing apart from using their weapons. I appreciated every single one of them. I always used them until I felt empty again. This time it was this new poison.
I tried my best to inhale that poison and see the limits that it could go but sadly it was nothing. Just like others.
I thought the poison was the only gift that he gave me today but surprisingly, he also graced me with his presence.
His invisibility magic was strong enough to fool me for quite some time. But it slowly started to grow weak. It became weak enough to sense King Lucifer's presence but not enough to see him.
To be honest, I didn't intend to do anything with him. I had other matters to attend and it is just my bedroom which he has access to. There is nothing worth protecting here (Except the books about Chandni dance.)
But, who knew King Lucifer had so much free time in his hands that he could attack me. I defended myself from his surprisingly fast and skilled attacks. Later, chained him up and, that is it. Or was it?
While defending myself a thought crossed my mind. The first time that I met Red Moon was when he was saving the people of Aleria. That means he must have talked with King Lucifer. So, wouldn't it be interesting if I punished King Lucifer by giving him task of writing each and every sentence that Red Moon has ever said to him?
That thought amused me enough that I did end up punishing King Lucifer with that.
I was walking toward the court with Daniel in my arms when I heard my mother shout
"Isaiah! I left a book in your room! Go and fetch that for me!"
'Well, I guess I have to return to that room again.' I thought.
But only god knew that it was the best and worst errand that my mom made me do.
Currently, I am standing here with Daniel clutched tightly in my arms. My body was unable to move. Just as my eyes refused to look away from the figure standing next to King Lucifer.
The same man with chestnut-brown hair and hazel eyes, whose gaze had always lingered in my dreams.
'You have finally come to me again!' I thought. My heart started beating fast, just as it always did whenever I thought of him.
