With the Food war getting underway I went to go tell the others what was going on, and hearing I had hired some other worldly chefs to cook for us and our future customers peaked everyone's interests, including the loner Loona.
"Do I have to come out? It's not time to work right?" She said with clear irritation in her voice while she looked at her phone.
"Oh don't be like that Loona, I'm offering room and board to do this job and not only that I've gotten some of the best chefs in multiverse to work in my shop and they will be making everyone's food for the foreseeable future." I explained to them.
Previously I only had Kintoki but he didn't really need to eat and if he felt like it he could just hop on over to one worlds Japan and eat some food over there instead.
But with both Soma and Streusen working for me they don't need to worry about that at all.
I haven't really been eating either besides drinking the Blood Wine I had stockpiled before I was transferred over to the New World that Overlord takes place in.
Doesn't mean I can't eat but I don't feel hunger so long as I have some amount of blood to drink and the Blood Wine takes place for that.
"And how good are they exactly?" Selina asked but I just shook my head.
"If your asking who is better of the two then that's what we are participating in, the two couldn't agree who should be the head chef and thus we shall be the judges to determine who shall be the head chef." I say back to her.
So with a snap of my fingers the bar expanded to fit all of us as we took our seats at the counter while we waited for our meals, in the meantime the others began to chat though Loona and Millie just didn't get along with each other even though the original timeline changed they just don't like each other period.
Selina surprisingly was the social butterfly of the group, something I didn't peg her for, then again in the original timeline she would have become the Vee's actress/pornstar so some social skills were needed.
As everyone was chatting we soon smelled it, the scent of cooked meat began to fill the air and the smell was tantalizing to say the least.
"Wait! Is that what I think it is?" Kintoki seemingly instantly being able to tell what kind of food it was from the smell alone.
"Maybe, but it's rude to interrupt a cook who is at work." I say putting my hand on his shoulder to keep him from going to see.
But soon enough another scent came out that was different from the scent of before, the sizzling coming from the pan could be heard here.
*Gulp* "That smell like some premium steak." Loona couldn't help but say as she wiped the bit of drool from her mouth.
"Yeah, better any beef my folks cooked up on the grill back home." Millie couldn't help but say as well, she didn't even try and make a snarky quip at Loona drooling like a dog.
And soon enough after 45 minutes of cooking both the chefs came out with a cart pushing out their meals on top hidden underneath two metal lids.
"Seems like you both finished earlier than I expected." I said to them both.
"Well when we have any ingredients from across the multiverse right at my fingertips all I had to do was think about getting the best ingredients and the kitchen delivered." Soma said with a smile.
"He right kid, the things in there I have never even heard of but they definitely pushed my food to the next level!" Streusen had to agree with Somas words making me nod in response.
There truly was a infinite number of choices and the kitchen gave them whatever they desired for the competition, surprisingly enough they had gotten their ingredients from the world of Toriko, guess the shop kept it fair by getting the food from the same world.
"Well then, how about we let Strusen go first, let's see what you have made for us." I said letting Soma be the end as I have a good feeling that his will be the best, especially since he's a 5 star chef at that.
"Then I won't be polite!" Streusen said before pulling back the lid as waft of steam came right out that had the perfect smell of beef and Garlic.
"My dish I created for everyone here is caramelized Garlicow Steaks made from meat of a Garlicow that has the perfect blend of garlic and mixed right into its body naturally from the world I came from." Streusen explained before placing the 5 steaks before us.
"Since I had no idea what was everyone's preferred amount of cooking for meat so I decided to go for the middle at Medium Rare cuts for each of you, now please enjoy the meal." He said as he gave a bow before pulling away.
Without saying everything the smell of garlic and meat was a symphony of aromas which didn't take a second thought before we began to dig in.
"Ooohh, Mmmm, this is sho good!!!" Millie couldn't help but exclaim while completely in love with the steak.
Loona after taking a bite had her eyes widen before she began to scarf down with relish.
Streusen really out did himself with this food he made it was truly delish to eat.
After we finished eating we scored him from a 1 to 10 scale for a total of 50 points and when we placed our scores Millie and Loona gave him a solid ten where as me, Selina and Kintoki gave him a 9 each giving him a total of 47 out of 50 points.
"Ohh, this is going to be a tough one for you Soma, so show us what you made." I said to him as he grabbed the lid and pulled it away.
"Ahh! My eyes!" Selina had to cover her eyes because of how blinding the light coming out from under the lid was like.
Inside sat 5 bowls that had a golden glow to them, "I decided to make everyone here some Oyakodon for dinner as I have never heard anyone ever disliking Oyakodon back where I'm from." Soma said with a smile on his face as he appreciated the looks on everyone's face.
And this isn't just Oyakodon but one that was made with the meat of a Chicken Tiger and its eggs which is considered a rare find even in the world of Toriko.
Soma quickly placed the bowls before us while leaving us with our utensils, the exception being Kintoki who he prepared a proper set of chopsticks for himself.
"Please enjoy the food." He said to them which gave way for everyone to try this beautiful set of food.
Everyone soon took up their bit of food and brought it to their mouths and ate, the second the food entered our mouths waves of flavor over took us.
The chicken was crispy, the eggs were perfectly smooth and mixed together with Umaine rice perfectly fit all together.
I looked at the girls and saw them rubbing their legs together while a blush came over their faces.
'I knew it, of course Soma could give them a Foodgasm.' I thought to myself.
It wasn't extreme as his old world but the taste was so good they clearly were getting wet from it, as any woman should from eating his food.
And it tasted amazing no doubt about it, are you asking why isn't my clothes blowing up from eating his food? It's because I have great restraint is all.
Kintoki though….. well eating like an animal with him scarfing it down even faster than Loona with the steaks made it clear, he really liked it.
And it wasn't surprising that in the end Soma won with a perfect score from all of us.
As a result Soma became the Head Chef with Streusen as his Sous Chef.
Now then everything was set and with proper workers now I could focus on other things.
All I needed to do was find a way to build up my divinity and gain even more worshippers for me.
