Chapter 21 - A House Full of Surprises

The house felt quieter than usual.

Tahee stepped inside, dropping her bag casually.

"…Finally."

She stretched slightly.

"…Where is my beautiful mother?"

Footsteps echoed from the stairs.

Her mother appeared—

Elegant as always.

But she wasn't alone.

Another woman walked beside her.

Tall.

Composed.

Sharp eyes.

A calm, unreadable expression.

Tahee blinked.

And then—

Stared.

"…Wait."

Her head tilted slightly.

"…Who is this beautiful lady?"

Silence.

The woman stopped mid-step.

Her gaze shifted.

Landing directly on Tahee.

Sharp.

Observing.

Tahee didn't look away.

"…No seriously… she looks like she could ruin someone's life calmly."

Her mother smiled lightly.

"Tahee, this is Su-ho."

A pause.

"My friend. She just returned from abroad."

Tahee nodded slowly.

"…Nice to meet you."

"…Very nice to meet you."

Su-ho didn't smile.

Just a small nod.

Silent.

Controlled.

Before the moment could settle—

The front door opened again.

Footsteps.

Her third brother.

He walked in casually—

Then stopped.

The moment he saw Su-ho.

His expression changed instantly.

"…Oh."

A pause.

"…I should go."

He turned immediately.

Ready to leave.

"Stop."

Su-ho's voice.

Calm.

Cold.

He froze.

Slowly—

He turned back.

"…You're here too?"

His tone—awkward.

Careful.

Tahee blinked.

"…Oh?"

Her gaze moved between them.

"…Interesting."

A slow smirk formed in her mind.

"…So this troublemaker can also be handled by someone."

Silence.

Her brother stiffened.

His jaw tightened.

He turned toward her instantly.

"You—"

He stopped.

Mid-sentence.

Because—

Su-ho was still watching.

Calm.

Unmoving.

The tension shifted instantly.

Her brother exhaled slowly.

"…Nothing."

Tahee blinked.

"…That was fast."

A pause.

"…I should keep her."

Her eyes flickered toward Su-ho again.

"…Very useful."

Su-ho's gaze lingered on Tahee for a second longer.

As if…

She noticed something.

Something unusual.

But she said nothing.

For now.

Tahee smiled lightly to herself.

"…This house just got more interesting."
