*Gil POV*
Still feeling light headed I opened my eyes and saw an unfamiliar ceiling.
"Where am I?"
I looked around and saw a bit familiar room.
"This room is..."
"Oh you have finally woke up. How do you feel?"
"Just a bit light headed, Merl what happen, why I am here?"
"Yesterday, remember? You came back from your hunt early and we ask you what happen then you suddenly passed out."
"..yeah"
Checking out my memory, I confirm what he said is true, I've been having some problem in my breathing as of lately and just yesterday, I felt light headed, so I went back early to take an off from hunting but my sight suddenly black out and after that I don't remember what happens next.
''You should go home, your grandchildren are worried. I don't know what's with those two, we are looking for them after you passed out but we can't find them, they only came to visit the night after sunset. "
"Don't mind them, they are training somewhere and only comeback at sunset. Anyway I will not continue to trouble you, I will go now. Thanks for looking out for me."
"Off you go. Oh, you should stop hunting now, your body can't handle heavy movements."
I act as I didn't hear that and just wave my hands then went home after that. It's been 2 years since Ellena, my wife, died. I guess my time is also running out, I can finally see her... No... I can't go yet, I still have things to do. I still have those kids.

"Come on Eu-chan hurry, let's go to see grampa"
"Okay, way a bit."
"What are you even do..ing!? Grampa!"
After getting up, Eu-chan and me are about to go out and visit grampa but she is so slow, that's when I saw grampa at the door.
"Eh!? Grampa is already here?"
I heard a rushing sound coming from her room and she come out.
"Grampa, how are you now? are you going to die? are you going to leave us?"
"Relax, relax. hoho grampa is not going to die or leaving you okay, I'm still strong a bull."
"But uncle Mark's bull died the other day. So you are really going to leave us! Don't die grampa, don't leave us."
"Ehem, not that bull, I'm talking about a young bull. Anyway I'm not going to die or leave, I can still live till you grow old okay?."

I guess uncle Merl is lying, grampa said that he can still live long till we get old. Grampa never tell a lie to us and everything he said is true, he knows a lot of things too.
Grampa then went to the kitchen and prepare making breakfast, Eu-chan followed him to help. While they are making the breakfast I went to the barn and feed the chickens.
Since grampa wasn't able to tell us stories last night, he told us stories while we ate our breakfast.
"Oh right how are your training doing lately?"
"Hear this grampa, I can finally make 『Fire Wall』 as tall as my body."
"Realy? that's amazing you have to be careful using your magic, fire is very harmful and will hurt you if you are careless."
"You should say that to Eu-chan."
"Eh!? Why me?"
"Your 『Ice Bolt』 can pierce a tree, my 『Fire Bolt』 will dissappear upon contact of your 『Ice Wall』 but your 『Ice Bolt』 will get through my 『Fire Wall』."
"You're just too weak Lu-kun. Here's the egg white for your tears."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY! ARRGGH"
"Stopped it you two."
Grampa told us to stop and Eu-chan stopped teasing me and just continue eating her breakfast. When it comes to teasing I really can't beat her.
The egg white is pretty good though, she gave me the egg white because she knows that I love it but ultimately she hate it and only like the yolk so I gave her my yolk.

After eating our breakfast, we help grampa on the farm till lunch and got ready to go and train.
"Wait for me, I'll come with the two of you to see your train"
Grampa stopped us went we are about to run off to our usual training spot.
"Really grampa?"
"Yeah, I was told by Merl to not do too much heavy movements so instead of going to hunt I'll just guide you on your train."
We guided grampa to our spot and quickly get in position, for the warm up, we cast our spell to see the improvements before going spar like usual.
Grampa only spectate us while the two of us exchange spell at each other then we rest after sparring.
"It's really a wonderful ability."
Looking at the small wounds that we got from our spar closing slowly grampa told us in amaze.
"but the two of you should be careful and don't target directly at each other's body, while you have that wonderful ability, it can only heal small wounds for now, if you are careless enough you might lose your arms and feet while training, do you want so not have any limbs?"
"Okay' grampa."
"Okay after you rest I will teach you how to use sword, tomorrow I will teach you how to use bow, the next will be footwork and the next is tracking monsters, all of these skill are very important to an adventurer"
"Grampa... are you saying.."
"Yes, I will teach you how to become a proper adventurer, I will teach you all my knowledge but of course I will get strict"
"Yay"
The two of us was so happy, becoming an adventurer, our dreams can finally come true.
After that grampa really did teach us how to properly use sword, its basic step, it's type and all of its pros and cons. Just like how grampa really did teach us about swords he really did get strict on us, he will beat us with a stick if we get lazy on our training, our kind and loving grampa changed to ruthless and demonic grampa when we train.
And just like that 4 years have come pass.

"Happy birthday you two here I have a present to the two of you."
Today is our birthday, and our coming of age, we are now become 12,Grampa gave us a silver necklace pendant with blue stone, inside the stone we can see something engraved inside it.
"A bird?"
"No, it's a dragon, come sit with me, you two. I have something to tell you."
Confused, we walk towards grampa and sat with him.
"For the starters, I want to tell you I'm sorry, grampa and granny told a lie to you, we told the two of you that you were my child's son and daughter but truth is I am not your real grandparent."
"Grampa you're joking right?"
Me and Eu-chan were shock at what grampa told us.
"Sorry I'm not, but no matter if I am your real granparent or not, I am still your grampa. That is ultimately true. Now let me tell you the story how we found the two of you.
Me and your granny had been with each other for how many years after I retired from being adventurer, but unfortunately through out the years, the gods didn't gift us our own child until one day while I was hunting on the forest near the neighboring town, that time I saw group of people chasing a carriage on the cliff nearby where I hunt, the road by the edge of cliff is so stiff that all passing caravan would carefully drive their cargo there but the carriage drives fast and it accidentally fell off the cliff.
I quickly went there to look for survivors, the driver and the horse died on the spot while the a woman, your biological mother is still alive, she has your hair and eyes color and very beautiful at that. If I didn't have your granny I would probably court your mother. Anyway, while she survive from falling from the cliff, she didn't escape unscratched, a piece of wood struck her stomach and she was carrying two baby, the two of you.
I thought that the potion that I always carry so I pulled the wood and applied the potion. Her wound got healed but her body still weak due to the loss of blood and need to have a proper rest. I was about to carry her out then we heard roars of monsters.
She looked at me on her drooping eye before saying to save her children and leave her behind, the two of you are crying loud at that time, and there's the corpse of horse and its drive so it gather a lot of monster nearby.
I told her that there's no need to leave her behind, that we can escape together, but she said that she can't before falling unconscious. That moment it was against the time, I can hear the monsters going closer and closer, so I carried her. I looked back and saw what kind of monster's are chasing us, it was a Sabretooth Tiger.
That type of monsters are fast and deadliest in the forest, if I am just myself I might get away but I have one woman and two children on my arms so I tried to run faster.
To make the matter worst a Wyvern with white scale came down in front of me, with tiger at my back and wyvern at my front I quickly stop and run to the side, the Sabretooths follows me while the Wyvern lunge to where I turned and caught a tiger, it then follows me after.
I ran and ran without looking back till we finally got out of the forest, I looked at my back fortunately both the Tigers and the Wyvern didn't continue following us so I catch my breath before running again, I stopped at a river to quench my thirst, I laid the woman on the ground and drink some water.
Through out the whole journey the two of you at that time didn't stop. I took you out of the woman's arm and tried to pacify the two of you, the woman also woke up.
I was about to give the two of you back to her but the Wyvern that we encountered that time appeared and dragged the woman away with its talons.
It was so sudden that I didn't even get the time to react.
