I looked at her for a few moments before I spoke.
" well let's head there and construct the beginnings of this Village. then we can start to plan out the more finer details after Beginnings are put in place."
as I say this she seems to wonder what do I mean by 'we' but then it seem to Dawn on her completely. that me and her would be traveling together to that point. she seems to almost open her mouth but then stopped herself after a few seconds she would not imagine heading towards the Caravan which she sees that I had stocked up with as much armor and weapons that I could get from the corpse. there was about three full sets of leather armor one full set of chainmail and about half a set of plate armor in the wagon with about Seven Swords that were sharpened. she looked at me and spoke.
" I see you grab the armor equipment..... well let's load up all the food and other supplies in our second wagon and linked the two with the steel chain."
I nodded as I put my sword into its Scabbard and began doing like she suggested. as I was moving 2 Link it with the first wagon I looked up to see her face in all my physical strength then I realized the horses weren't attached to the wagon they were near the tree still but she had a hold of their leads. I simply looked back down and finish what I was doing. she then moved the two horses that were linked to the tree to Ladson to the front of the wagon with the two horses that were already up there. she then shouted back.
" everything is ready get into whichever wagon you want I'll be driving us towards the meeting point."
without much complaint I got into the wagon with the weapons and armor which is the one she was using as the head to drive. we began moving shortly after I got in and I started to think to myself making sure I wasn't speaking out loud.
" well I don't think I'll be able to beat the witchmonger on my own so building up an army would be a smart idea. and as well possibly make allies that would come to my Aid. if I were to call them to battle after all the witchmongers army only grow stronger. with every single Village he destroys and who knows if he is ever made more creatures like me. which if they get a handle over their powers faster than I do I will be in some deep shit especially if I'm on my own which means I might have to create more vampires to serve under though that could prove to be very dangerous considering humans don't like Unholy abomination. and a blood-sucking pale-skinned creature looking like a human would probably fall under those category of Unholy abomination."
I was thinking to myself I heard the girls voice.
" we are here and looks like everyone made it besides most of our Caravan. I'm just going to say you're the new Caravan master. in our old one betrayed us and killed everyone else except for us too cuz we managed to kill him."
I would raise one finger as she would see this and wonder what I was about to say and then I spoke.
" no say we were attacked by Bandits and me and you are the only ones that managed to escape we had to get rid of our most of our supplies to get away. betrayal make each other start to feel like this was doomed from the start. however Bandits would be a very good answer we can also say what happened to the rest they hold them off as we escaped that we still had to use some of the barrels to take out Bandits from the ones that were still chasing us. after the rest all of our Caravan had died."
as you can see what I meant she got off wonder why it's just her and me what I can only assume we're the other Caravans Masters. approached her and began speaking to her as one of the armored men started to approach the Caravan where I was sitting. his hand was on the handle of his sword though I could tell just from his eyes alone he had no combat experience whatsoever. he spoke up as soon as he was about three feet away from me drawing his blade.
" tell me who you are the Caravan That was supposed to meet up with us was a lot more people in just two."
I noticed one of the Caravan message about the say something before he could I grabbed my blade unsheathing it very quickly and then with one graceful swing disarming the armored man with one strike. quickly placing the blade against his throat and then I would speak calmly.
" I don't have a damn obligation to answer you. and if you threaten me ever again I will not hesitate to take your life understand me Greenie."
the look on the man's face was scared absolutely shit list and I could swear he just spoiled him. the Caravan master that was about to speak up did and he spoke calmly.
" no need for violence I apologize for his behavior. he's been a bit paranoid and worried about the Caravan you to come from since they were supposed to meet up with us 4 day ago."
I looked over to him as I removed my blade against his throat and shaving it once again. I would sign as I continued to go back where I was sitting and down and I would Conway speak.
" it wouldn't be like he could hurt me anyway he's a Greenie no combat experience want so ever."
I said as I made sure to keep my Hood up so my skin would be shielded from the Sun. it didn't hurt me but it made me very uncomfortable and more agitated. the young man fell on his ass after. the Caravan Master scene to be very calm and relieved at what I said and have done. I sat there quietly until the three Caravan Masters approach to me. they sat down in front of me as I was keeping to myself the first of them spoke.
" all right let's get down to business the groundwork or the beginnings of our village. let's go over the list of things will be we will need to map out our village very professionally so we can spend much quicker. but also have it to where it is much easier defended. we also need to send out small groups to see if there's any caves that we could use for mining for resources and also see if there's any monsters or Bandits nearby and where they could be based at so we know if we ever needed to thin out the threats we will have to face eventually we can decide on which would be the easiest to take out and then go on from there."
I spoke up as I saw one of the other Caravan Masters speak or worried about to.
" all right I say we simply start off by building the town hall near the river to our right and we build our village around that that will help in case we're being attacked by Bandits who are burning down houses easy access to water will let us help put the fires out quickly. as well it'll be a easy access of fish also it's near a cliff sign meaning we will have less directions to worry about being attacked. as well if we play it right and build a watchtower on the cliff then we'll have a very good vantage point if we're being attacked ahead of time would you give us more time to be prepared. and besides it'll be a lot harder for anyone to attack the Watchtower and the guards up there if it's a uphill battle. then we should also probably build traps a few hundred feet or maybe even a mile out away from the beginnings of our village to Act as both markers and defense mechanisms against monster and bandits and if I watched our spot a trap has been sent off then it's possible that we may come under attack and they could send word around us to be on alert but not that is happening but it could possibly happen."
after I was done talking I let the Caravan master who was about to talk speak as he would do so.
" those are very good idea and I respect your thinking ahead but I believe setting up areas we know will be good for farming and resource Gathering such as Woods nearby and the mountains to our West finding places where we can gather resources will be very helpful. and as well we need to figure out Patrol routes for our guards though I believe our armored friend here could probably handle that on his own after we get the map set up about the outlines of our village."
me and the other two Caravan leaders nodded in agreement then the remaining Caravan master who had yet to speak did so.
" good idea is all around I believe we have a decent idea but we need to decide on which buildings we need to build first that way we have a plan how to proceed for these first few weeks."
the other two and I agreed once again and then I spoke.
" I believe it should go in this order Town Hall Barracks then walls after that then comes standard housing for everyone and then a lumber mill. after that of mine would be good but we can't have one unless we know we can protect it and the miners. so before that we will have to make sure all of the guards are ready for a fight if Bandits, knocking or if we start a mine in the cliff side to our right are ready to fight any monsters we may come across during like for example minding into a Cave System which could be crawling with monsters. but then again I can handle training the guards."
the three Caravan Masters seem to approve of my ideas full heartedly. they all nodded to each other got up and began moving out I started to stand up as I noticed the three Caravan Masters were talking to their armored guards. after a few minutes which I chose to spend the time stretching they Armor Guard seem to approach me and a uniform Style as one of them spoke up.
" we're ready to proceed as you order captain."
many of the armored guard seem to not like the idea of me being captain I then spoke up.
" it's simple first we find what kind of weapons you feel most comfortable with then we get wooden versions of them and you will train against each other. as will doing simple exercises every morning and afternoon before you go on patrol and after you are done. this way to make sure your body's and your reflexes are ready for a fight if it ever comes a knocking after all Bandits or monsters can attack the town meeting we must be ready for a fight at all times."
as I said this they all seem to understand fully what I was saying though some of them still didn't like the idea of taking orders from me I sighed and then spoke up again.
" and for anyone who has an issue with taking orders from me speak up one of the only thing I respect is being straightforward with me. you got a problem say it and we can handle the situation after. right now simply helped out the towns people get everything prepared. nobody is getting a good night's sleep until we get houses built after all. and after all that is said and done you get one full day off. do I make myself clear"
all them seem to speak in unissant like all of them were ready to handle whatever was thrown at them.
" Crystal Clear sir"
they all seem to move out and unissant helping the townspeople I ended up rubbing the bridge of my nose. because I could already tell this was going to drain a lot out of me not just physically but mentally. then I started to feel the craving for blood. the girl that I travelled with to this points walked up to me.
" hey I would like to ask you to check around the area to see if there's any threats and to see if there's any monsters or signs of them"
I would nod towards her as I began walking away my hood still up and I would start to run after I knew no one could see me it didn't take me very long to get to the top of the Cliff face maybe three minutes as I looked around I saw a vast plains. nature was truly beautiful so to our West there were mountains that probably could be very useful when our town possibly becomes a city then there were the a vast Forest to our North and to our South was the remnants of my home. but to East there was what seemed to be massive Hills and lots of them though I could see smoke rising in the distance. and I was fairly curious I began sprinting towards the smoke making sure I made no noise just in case they were enemies within about a few minutes maybe 10 to 11 I jumped into a tree overlooking the source of the smoke it was a camp of people they look like Bandits and there were cages all around some had animals and then there were some the really big cages that had groups of people I started counting the people in the cages and there were a total of 15. then I started to count the bandits I only counted about 20. as I was counting I heard one of them spoke up.
" Chief I'm going to report it seems that there is a group of Cavender's to our West. but they seem on high alert like they're expecting to be attacked what did we do chief?."
a very large and Burly man stood up with laughter. I smiled and start thinking about. these people would make perfect soldiers in the right circumstances. the large Burly man was about to my guess is 8 ft tall and 11 in. he was a mountain of a man he spoke up.
" it's quite simple we stalker pray and wait for the perfect time to strike."
I thought about how I could recruit them and then a brilliant idea popped in my head I could use some magic. I raised my right hand towards is there a bonfire closing my eyes I start to focus as I heard commotion like people surprised when I open my eyes it was a giant blue flame easily doubling the large Burly man in height and even how wide he was I use more magic more like vampiric power to turn into a swarm of bats and made them circle around the flame this seeing to catch all of their attention even the people in the cages as the flame begin to die down I slowly began to reform from the bats I slowly landed on top of the bonfire well where the bonfire was as I looked up I stared directly at the Burly man. this seems to make everyone ready for a fight but the Burly man who they call Chief put his hand up since he saw the smile on my face. he spoke up
" what do you want stranger?"
I smiled as I laughed a bit and then I spoke pulling down my hood and showing my inhuman features such as my long fangs my snow white pale skin and my crimson red eyes that seem to Glow even in the sunlight.
" let's just say I'm here to offer you again. tho this gift does come with a price"
I could tell his curiosity was piqued he lowered his hand as he spoke and a curious tone.
" and what would this gift be?"
when he finished what he was saying I disappeared and reappeared floating right in front of him and with a large smile on my face I spoke.
" eternal life the power to live without time and it control over you where you never grow old and you only grow stronger with time."
I stared him directly in the eyes as I could tell he was starting to be entrenched by my eyes as the rest of the camp started laughing. but soon they could feel the air around the area start to freeze like the very air has turned to ice their laughter stops as they began to feel a sensation like they were being stalked by a predator and no matter how many of them there were not a single one would make it out a life. the chief seems so enamored he spoke only three words.
" what are you?"
I gave him a smile as I gave him such a stare that made even him shiver.
" I'm a vampire"
everyone seemed to be terrified now with just those three words except for the chief who has been offered the power to become a vampire he seemed almost like he was hungry now so I could tell what it was he was power hungry now. and when he spoke I could tell he did not want to see me even a little.
" I would be honored to receive such a gift but what is the price?"
I smiled as I began to float away from him and circling where the bonfire was as I spoke.
" oh nothing too bad your loyalty and the Loyalty of your men."
I smiled as I continue to float around where the bonfire was. the chief seem to think for a few moments looking at his tribe of Bandits and simply seem to nodded as he spoke.
" I accept your gift though the Loyalty of my men I cannot promise you"
I placed one finger against my chin as I thought about it as then I would nod towards him as I began to float towards him as I placed one finger to help move his head to make it more easier for me to feed.
" I suppose that is fair but fair warning this is going to hurt a lot...."
I then quickly sync to my fangs into his neck draining the blood out of him. his face quickly contorting into pain and a loud scream that curl the blood of everyone present except for me. the rest of his tribe wear to Frozen in fear to react and the people in the cages we're shaking in fear. within a few moments the screaming proceed to stop as I removed my fangs from his neck. as I bit my own arm pulling some of my own blood into my mouth as my eyes flickered from red to Yellow I went back into biting the neck of the Bandit chief in city of drinking blood I was putting it into his veins and using the spell to make the Turning Quicken it. within a few moments they saw their Bandit Chiefs skin turned pale white his blue eyes turn to a Scarlet Red. as I released him from my bite I floated backwards as I watched him for 1 minute then he began to stand up again the rest of his tribe seemed worried for their Chief but all they weren't too afraid. to even move close to him but then he spoke and a cold tone.
" what is thine bidding my Lord."
I smiled greatly as I simply just gestured him towards the cages. I spoke calmly
" feed upon the people in the cages for now and have your Camp packed up for you will be the first men to join the village that your Scout has reported since it belongs to me well anyone knows it or not and will simply tell them you were a group of Travellers who had lost their home to some warlord trying to conquer this Regent. and you all are looking for a home. after that well you all will be my personal Army. though keep your bended tendencies in check just so we do not have any problems with the people there since I do still have uses for them."
the Bandit Chief began walking towards the cages with a nod he then opened one of the cage doors grabbing someone and biting into their neck draining their blood within a few seconds he trained to every last drop he then look to the rest of his men with a little bit of blood on his mouth.
" you heard him pack up the camp or at least the ones who will still follow me. I will not force you to serve if you do not want to."
all the bandits seemed to nod as they began packing everything up as the Bandit Chief continue to feed on all of their captives. I smiled as I stopped floating stepping on the ground pulling my hood upI would watch my new protege follow his instructions. I closed my eyes as time seem to move faster when I did not perceive the world I heard my protege voice.
"my Lord it is all done."
I nodded as I open my eyes I seen they had a wagon well actually multiple wagonseverything was packed into them and wa I start to begin to slowly float towards the lead carts loaded with people I sent down inside the car and asked my protege begin to get everyone to the Village with a smile I grabbed a hood from their belongings placing it over my protege head. as I would begin to speak.
"always keep your hood up I don't want them knowing about what we are just yet because after all until they know they can trust us they will hate us if they don't because we'reUnholy Abominations and let me do all the talking."
