as I stared at the Goblins my eyes were crimson red. drawing My Sword I charged at the goblins surprisingly the cave was quite big. then again they would need a place for all of the horde to stay if this was a would-be goblin horde. I calmly slashed at them killing them without much issue which then again green-skinned goblins may be clever but when it came to physical strength they were the weakest amongst the goblins species. the first group I found Falls within a few seconds. then I started to hear voices coming from the direction from where I came it was the men from the village who had accompanied me. I noticed they brought some wood not very large Lumber but enough to make fortifications.
" Jack wait for us!!"
I scratched my head with a smirk as I remembered I left them behind quite a bit soon from a group of five I saw all 30 present. I looked down into the cave with my vampire guys I saw more bodies of Life Energy staring that made me hungry. I shouted orders as I continued to look into the cave and begin stepping into it.
" all of you build fortifications. I want archers up here in case we have to retreat. I want small group a Fighters with the archers to protect them in case we get attacked from any group of goblins that may come back from a hunt or something. and I want you all the slowly events with the people with shields up front move by every inch of ground. and be ready to block any projectiles that these goblins May throw at us. I will go ahead since I'm the most heavily armored. also make sure to make some torches so you can see better in this caves."
they all seem to not as I charge head first into the cave as now I got a better look at the bodies of Lifeforce there was about 50. but there was one particular life force that seemed very powerful. I could see hints of blue in it which may It could use Magic. I figured that out from looking at one of the bandits who had a small affinity for Magic. but compared to that Bandit this life force seems much more attuned to it. every step into this dark cave my eyes seem to make it look like I was still out sided looking at Sky how clear and not even a hint of Darkness. a group of goblins comfy by hobgoblins seem to charge at me. so it didn't take me very long to cut through them the hobgoblins are much more tough and much more intelligent capable of much greater strategy compared to a greenskin Goblin. and much physically stronger as well but they fell dead as well. I looked up towards where the soldiers were and I could see their torches it was a group about 15 men. some of them even had Spears. I didn't ask for those to be equipped I guess they ran out of swords to equip with. which in that fashion I could not really blame them. I counted the number of dead goblins at my feet there are about 20 and all meaning there is still remaining Thirty goblins most likely in the main chamber. I stopped my advancement as I waited for my men to catch up as I would look towards them with my eyes closed and speak.
" all right tighten up the shield wall this may be a small hoard I've seen hobgoblins and greenskins goblins. they may even be bugged Bears here if so make sure you aim for them first with your Spears. make sure you always have a comrade at your back so you can't get stabbed in the back."
they all seem to nod I could tell by seeing through my eyelids their life force even with my eyes closed I could still see it I open my eyes as I stared directly towards the rest of the goblins. I began to advance but I have my men only about five feet behind me. their shield-wall themed impressive tightly knitted together like a quilt a wife would make out of wool. as we raised the entrance to the main chamber I look back and Whisper.
" hold this entrance understand me we are outnumbered so holding this choke point will be crucial."
as I said this they all nodded ready as I stepped into the chamber I looked at each Lifeforce the one that I picked out the one with the ability to use Magic. shouted towards me being my Crimson eyes she spoke our language the language of humans which caught me off guard.
" the night father has finally blessed us with a child of the night. consumer of blood. one who walks this Earth but draws no breath. a being who is immortal and a long exist after we all perish As Time takes us!!!!"
I was confused of her words and my men were as well as I looked upon the altar behind her I saw something glowing a faint dark red. she saw the confusion on my face and it angered her. she then conjure some kind of magic that teleporter her to the peak of the cave and ran down a hallway. all the other goblins turn violent drawing their weapon and charge at us. I couldn't Ponder another moment I charged with blazing plan on cutting down Goblins. a varying colors green red orange skin goblins which were the three types green skin Goblin hobgoblin and bugbear. my men hold their position at the entrance of this main chamber striking at the goblins from behind there Shields and ready for when the shield Wall fell but the Goblins seem to focus on me and not them. with this in mind I kept fighting I took a few splashes from a table. But those wounds didn't really bleed or hurt me as I thought they would. it may be because I didn't really feel the pain right now the adrenaline kept me going until each of the remaining Thirty goblins were dead but that Goblin woman escaped. she might prove to be an issue in the future next time I see her I most certainly will have to kill her. I said to my men.
" gather up the metal weapons from these goblins then explore the cave I don't there's much left to explore I will explore this main chamber after this you all can sleep as long as you want when we get back to the Village."
they all nodded and cheered I began moving towards the altar standing before it staring at the strange object that seem to have a dark red glow to it. as I look behind to see all of my men were moving out of the main chamber. I grabbed the hold of the strange item it was mainly a piece of metal but after I touched it in a few seconds it turned crimson red spice jetted from it piercing my hand glowing purple was the edges of the spikes. I crumble to my knees holding and the pain as my eyes began to Glow a mixture of violet and crimson. my wounds began to heal at extremely fast pace faster than I thought they could. my vision began the Blurred as I sat down my back against the altar my hood covering my face I blacked out. and I began hear voices they all sound the same but they come from all directions.
" my child my dear child.... child of my of My Blood... it is time for you to stop crawling and begin to walk as a young vampire..... not as the infant you are..... now awakened..... see the world through the eyes of a sangheili Vampire... awaken from your slumber."
as my eyes slowly open and closed my soul my men caring me to Wagon to bring me back to the village where I assumed. I clearly heard one of them.
" come on you idiots we need to get he back home!!!!!"
I couldn't help a laugh as I start to pull myself up. as I pull myself up as all the men look at me. my skin was pale in my eyes were closed. I began rubbing my neck.
" damn could you get any louder?"
when the guys grabbed onto my shoulder trying to get me to lay down and spoke.
" sir you're not well you need to lay down you looks so pale."
I resisted as I spoke.
" don't worry about that I've always been pale. have been for years. it mainly due to working only in night shifts been sleeping most of the damn day away. in my previous home."
even with this man trying to get me to lay down I stand up easily and start stretching I looked around as we were about halfway to the Village by now I pulled my hood over my head.
" don't worry about me guys. the most I'm going to need is some damn good ale and a soft bed."
most of the men that were around me laughed at what I said and I did as well I look towards the direction of the village with a smile.
" I don't think I need to say this but we're definitely going to have a party lots of drink merriment and stores be told because honestly we did a great thing today we took out something that may have been a threat to our home. in total with 31 men including myself just took out a small Goblin horde. if that is no cause for celebration then I don't know what it is."
all the men seemed to cheer as I look towards the one who was ordering people around with a smirk.
" found anything interesting in the cave while I was unconscious?"
the man nodded as he spoke.
" I used to be a miner in that cave I found some more some copper iron and a few orders I don't recognize with my little experience in the trade. but it could prove useful in the future."
I smiled as I nodded toward the man as I heard all of them talk about how there first battle went we arrived at the village. everyone there was greeting us as soon as we walked in. Layla however looked at me and pointed to follow. he did not look like she was in a bad mood but it may be something important so I follow as I looked around it seems like they got most of the work done with the houses except for one that seems larger than the rest the three Caravan Masters we're standing in front of it with smiles. then I noticed everyone in the village was surrounding me Layla spoke.
" we've all talked it over and we recognized you as our Lord. Jack you will lead us in a great future. and reform a great Empire that once was created a long ago. May the gods above bless us and our future."
as she finished speaking everyone including the guards and dealed my protege kneeled as well I smiled this must how every person who is elected as Lord feels like when they helped establish a new Village. I simply sat down stretching everyone looked up curiously with a smile I shouted.
" the man who came with me the fight already know what I said but tonight is a party with 31 men including myself we struck down a small horde of Goblin. so we celebrate drink share stories and live like there is no tomorrow tonight. so come on and let's party!!!"
I said with a smile and I shouted my Charisma just flowing through me as everyone jumped up and started shouting themselves at some of the people begin to pull out alcohol. ale. rum and all manner of other intoxicating beverages. I stood up and entered the largest house which Layla seemed to be dragged me to with a couple of drinks in hand. I smile as I entered the house with Layla. she had some kind of evil smirk on her face. she put down the drinks as she jumped onto me it's caught me off-guard and off balance I fell onto the bed my back. before I could even say a word she began to kiss me very passionately and all honestly at first it overwhelms me I didn't know what to do until. I felt her hands tempting to unfasten my armor. whatever she had planned to do was cut short when one of the Caravan Masters walked in and shouted.
" Lord Jack we need to have a meeting immediately."
