Chapter 4 – Class Trial, Good Bye Friend
"Let's begin with an explanation of the Class Trial. Your votes will be what determine the results. If most of you vote for whodunit then only they will receive punishment. But if most of you vote for the wrong person then I'll punish everyone besides the blackened and that one will be able to leave this place" explained Monoplus.

"It's time now huh" said June nervously.
"Yeah where should we start?" asked Flora.
"I'll start us off. Ever since the investigation began I noticed that the MonoFile didn't specify the Time of Death or Cause of Death. Why?" Ricardo asked Monoplus.
Monoplus nodded and replied "Of course, I wouldn't give you anything too useful. That's not my style".
"I saw Mark in his bed near 7 am before I took a look at him I blacked out for some reason and when I woke up again there he was dead with a stab wound that still looked fresh. I think I was a sleep for about five minutes thanks to Monoplus" said Sue.
"Hehehe, of course, I wanted you to see the body at the perfect time" giggled Monoplus.
"You blacked out, sounds fishy. Did someone attack you from behind?" asked Paul. "No I don't think so but my eyes were starting to twitch a lot seconds before I fell unconscious. I don't know if that has to do with anything" Sue stated.
"No, sleeping gas can make someone's eyes twitch and that's exactly what happened to Sue. Question was the door open or close?" I asked curiously.
Sue replied "It was closed". "See then there's a high chance that Sue fell sleep because of the sleeping gas" I said confidently.
"Yeah I can't think of anything else. Especially since bottles of sleeping gas was hiding behind the locker in the gym. Rather a poor hiding spot if you ask me" said Olivia.
"Now when did Mark die? I'm going to take a guess and said this morning a little bit earlier than when Sue walked in I said. "Wait it might be after Sue went in. Remember that she fell asleep the moment she entered" said Xavier. "No I'm pretty sure he died before she went in" I said.
"What! Come on Alisa do better than that. The culprit knocked Sue out with sleeping gas and then killed Mark. It's that simple" said Xavier raising his voice. "Yeah that sounds right" June supported. "If it was before Sue would've clearly knew that he was dead before she fainted or maybe it wasn't even any sleeping gas in the first place. She does look like one of those girls who'd faint from seeing a dead body" said Xavier.
"Jeez fine" I sighed.
"It's obvious what happened last night"
"Sue went inside Mark's room"
"And saw Mark sleeping"
"The culprit came a little after her then put her to sleep"
"After that the culprit killed Mark" said Xavier
"Nope"
"How did you arrive at that conclusion?"
"Weren't you listening earlier?" I asked annoyed.
"Of course I was listening".
"It makes sense for the culprit to come after her".
"The culprit wanted to frame her for murder" replied Xavier.
"No! I'll ask Sue this again. Sue was the door open or closed when you entered?".
Sue hummed to herself then replied "I know I closed the door behind me and I don't remember it ever being opened". "See, if it wasn't open how did the sleeping gas get inside to put her to sleep?" I asked rhetorically. Cj raised his hand and said "Oh I get. The culprit had to be inside at the time when Sue entered to cover the room with gas and put her to sleep. The person did it not to frame Sue, but to leave the room without being spotted by her".
"But couldn't the culprit wait until Sue came out of the room? Asked June.
"No I wouldn't recommend that because if Sue looked at Mark and saw that he was dead she'd definitely screamed and more people would have arrived at the scene leaving the culprit no chance to leave" said Shawn.
"Good one Shawn. Now let's move on" I stated.
"Move on?"
"Yeah we've already established the time of death is this morning haven't we" I asked. Zoey snapped her fingers and said "Really? Can we really say that. He could've been dead from the night he revealed himself as the mastermind and none of you would've known since none of us ever thought to check his room because we thought it would be too obvious for him to be in there".
"The stab wound was fresh, he definitely died this morning" said Shawn. Flora stuttered "So uhh about his skin. Can we …. Move on to that topic now. I have a feeling th-that poison is his cause of death not the stab wound".
"Probably, his skin must've gotten blue for a reason" said Terry starting to sit on the floor. "Already Terry" said Cj disappointed. "Shut it, I was sleeping before this you know. I deserve this" replied Terry. "So Alisa what do you think about Mark's skin?" asked Shawna.
Before I could reply Shawna went ahead and answered her own question. "Alisa thinks the culprit used Monopoison to kill Mark by coating the scissors with poison. On the Monopoison label it states that this poison kills people by contact of their skin. If you stab someone with a deadly poison like this one, they'd surely die" said Shawna.
"So the culprit walked in Mark's room killed him by stabbing him with a poisonous scissors and fled after Sue got knocked out" Paul recited.
"We're getting closer now. Now that we know the cause of death and the time of death we can start the harsh part of this trial" smiled Shawna.
"The Harsh part? What part is that?" Cj asked confused. "One of us here killed Mark. We should start throwing accusation at each other until we find the culprit" said Shawna.
"Oh please shut up you dumb ass. That's probably the only fun part here" stated Terry.
"What we discussed so far hasn't narrowed anyone down except for probably Sue, Jasmine and me" I said softly.
"What made you off the suspect list?" asked June.
"Simple I was with Jasmine all night and we didn't get a wink of sleep. We were both together the whole time until we discovered the body" I stated. "How come this is the first time you're mentioning this?" asked Cj.
Jasmine clapped her hands so loud it stole all the attention. "None of your business you loser". "Loser? What makes me a loser? Were you always this rude?" Cj asked her. "You're drifting from the main topic. Focus" said Jasmine harshly. "I'm starting to realize that most of these girls are super mean" Cj said to himself.
"That's not true" said Flora.
"As I was saying earlier, One of us Killed Mark so Alisa and Jasmine are in the clear if they had their eyes on each other doing whatever I don't care. So the rest of us are still suspects. I bet Cj's the one that did it" assumed Shawna.

Cj stayed silent and didn't say a word.
"Cj wouldn't murder someone. Get real" said Shawn seriously. "You Get Real! He's right next to Mark. He can go to Mark's room and then back to his room anytime he wants" said Shawna. "Yeah so can everyone else" Cj stated.
"As long as everyone was a sleep then anyone could've entered his room as they please if they know a way passed those locks" added Shawn. "That's true you can't just blame Cj because he's right next door to Mark. That's not fair" said Paul.
"Okay but I still have other reasons for why I said Cj" Shawna spoke.
"Really like what?!".
"Last night I saw you and Mark talking to each other. You're the last person to have seen him before he met his end. You're the first person to learn that he was inside his dorm room and also the Monoparalyzer. Fei tell them where you found them" said Shawna sure of herself.

Fei started sweating as he looked over at Cj with a depressed face. "I saw it in Cj's room. I don't know why" said Fei.
"Huuh! Whhaaaaaaaaaa!"
"My room that's crazy talk. Where in my room did you see them?" Cj asked panicking. Fei scratch his head and said "In your pillow case. No one would've found that unless they were really serious about searching the place". The expression on Cj's face was a sight to behold. He was speechless and didn't know what to say. He too started to sit down on the floor and held his head down. "Now that we know who the culprit is let's start the vote. I'm in a serious hurry to go back to my room" said Shawna.
"Wait! Cj is it true? Did you meet up with Mark last night?" asked Shawn breathing heavily. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked a bit angry and sad at the same time.
...…
He didn't reply to me. "Cj you poor thing. Don't worry I'll get you out of this bind" I thought to myself. I cleared my throat and said "He didn't do it".
"Oh! The Ultimate Detective just said something could you repeat that" said Shawna.
"He didn't do it and I'll prove to you why" I repeated.
"So who's the culprit?" asked Flora.
"Cj of course" Shawna replied.
"You sure? He doesn't look like the type who'd kill" said Shawn.
"I'd much rather hear Terry was the killer" said Paul.
"Fuck you too" said Terry.
"Is Cj the only one who knew about Mark being in his room?" asked Sue.
"I don't think so!" I shouted.
"He isn't the only one. Shawna if you saw Cj and Mark together then you more than likely know of Mark's room" I stated.
"No I wouldn't, I was only spectating them for a little while at a distance" said Shawna. "You sure?" I asked.
June shouted at Cj and asked "Hey idiot! Did you see Mark last night or not?!" Cj nodded yes in reply. "You gotta admit it is very suspicious that you didn't tell me this but I don't feel the tingly feeling from you" I stated.
"Tingly feeling?"
"Don't mind what I just said anyways there's a chance Cj can still be the culprit now that I think it over but he's not the only one that could've known about Mark being in his room. Me, Sue, Cj, Shawna all knew about the tiny hole in the door before investigation starts. Fei found out about it recently too I stated. "Hole what hole?" asked Jasmine curiously.
"There's a tiny hole on Mark's door. You can use it to peep inside the room. That hole wasn't there when we first arrived here so somebody bored a hole through his door."
"Oh, how didn't we notice that?" wondered Terry.
"You're all idiots that's why. That isn't some big mystery or anything I did it. I'm the one who made that hole to peep inside but when I looked I didn't see him in there" said Shawna averting her gaze to Xavier. "Yeah I can back her up on that actually. I'm the one that handed her the drill" said Xavier.
"Bullshit, Xavier did you peep through too" asked Terry.
"Yeah, he really wasn't inside" said Xavier. "Well that doesn't matter because he most definitely was inside the night before he was murdered" I stated.
"It seems that knowing about the hole and peeping through it doesn't mean you're guaranteed to see Mark in there like with Shawna right Xavier?"
He nodded at me in reply.
"So let's go over everybody's alibi before we vote for Cj" said Shawna.
"If you do that we'll die you know!" Cj shouted.
"Hey Ricardo you've been very quiet, you too Olivia, Zoey and Fei what's the matter" asked Paul. "I have nothing to offer in this trial" said Ricardo. Fei didn't reply, Olivia nodded no and Zoey said "Fine I'll go first. Yesterday I wasn't doing anything much. I was in my room all day and this morning I made some breakfast for Ricardo and I then we went back to our rooms".
"Wait I didn't, I went to the bathroom" said Ricardo. "I thought you'd go to the gym after breakfast" said Olivia surprised. "After I touched the doorknob to my room my stomach started to ache so I went to the bathroom instead and I stayed in there for like half an hour" said Ricardo.
"Hahahahahaahaha" laughed Terry.
I went to Fei's alibi and he replied "Jeez I already told you. I was playing games with Sue, Cj, Shawn and Flora and next day I woke up and rushed to see what my sister was screaming about".
"Oh my god let's just vote for Cj already" said Shawna getting impatient.
"No, we still haven't explored enough to say I'm the culprit" said Cj. "Really like what?" asked Shawna. "Come on seriously. The murder weapon is the scissors right. How would I get my hands on one? The only times I entered the warehouse Shawn was with me and I'm sure he didn't see me picking up any scissors" said Cj.
"Shawn you stay at the entrance of the warehouse the most out of all of us. Did you see anyone going in and coming out with a scissor?" asked June. Shawn gave it some thought then replied "Well yeah I did carry one to my room for self-defense in case someone attempting to murder me".
"Anyone else?"
"No not that I know of. I'm the only one with a scissor" said Shawn. Sue took a scissor from out of her shirt and said "I found this in Shawn's room covered in blood. It was on the floor right at the door."
"Oh and why didn't you say anything earlier?" I asked curiously. "Well I knew we'd arrive here eventually so I waited. Shawn is this the scissor you picked up?" asked Sue. Shawn nodded nervously.
"Jeez, when did someone take my scissors? I knew I had it under my pillow" said Shawn confused. "Did you see it when you woke up?" I asked. "I didn't pay any attention to it until now actually. The moment I woke up I went to Mark's room" said Shawn. "Hmm so someone broke into Shawn's room and took his scissors from under his pillow? That sounds unnecessary since they can simply go to the warehouse and get one. It's not like it was off limits at night" said Xavier.
Jasmine raised her hand and said "Maybe that scissor isn't Shawn's". Jasmine showed everyone a clean looking scissor she found in the bathroom close to the dorms. "Huh, why am I knowing about these things now" I complained. "It's understandable; anyone here can be the culprit even the Ultimate Detective herself. Of course they wouldn't reveal everything to someone so carelessly" said Paul.
"So the one with the blood on it is found in Shawn's room while the other is found in the bathroom. "Someone did a pretty sucky job at hiding things" said Zoey.
"Hahaha no kidding. Why bother move the murder weapon from the crime scene if you're not going to hide it properly" said Shawna.
I looked over to Shawn and thought to myself. "He didn't tell me about having scissors in his room. The moment he heard that scissors was what stabbed Mark he should've told me. Does this mean he doesn't fully believe me either? I bet Fei doesn't either. No one fully believes anyone here. I guess this is the true essence of a class trial".
"So if the murder weapon was placed in Shawn's room that means someone broke in while he was still a sleep. What time did you wake up Shawn?" asked Jasmine. "Umm like 7:30 I guess" he replied. "Oh, did anyone know about your scissors other than you?" I asked. He nodded no in reply.
"This is getting nowhere. I should take control"
"Alright we can't leave that murder weapon mystery hanging forever. His cause of death was without a doubt the scissor with blood on it. Let's move on it doesn't matter how it got to Shawn's room because he isn't the culprit. It's just a simple frame".
"Huh, how can you be so sure?" asked Terry.
"No I feel the same way, that's why I kept quiet about it. I don't believe Shawn would kill Mark if he knew he was in his room" said Sue.
"I want to hear evidence. Give me some concrete reasoning why Cj or Shawn can't be the culprit because I'm super convinced that it's one of them. Cj didn't say a word about seeing Mark last night and Shawn didn't utter a word about his scissors after hearing that was the murder weapon" said Shawna.
"Yeah I'd like to hear one too Alisa" said Xavier seriously. Everyone looked at me intensely including Shawn and Cj.
"Hmm concrete evidence huh, I can think of one for Cj but Shawn. Let's see"
"Cj saw Mark last night, what about it? The murder took place close to 7 am we've already made that clear. If it took place at that time when Cj was most definitely a sleep he couldn't possibly be the culprit. Shawna you were the only one here pressuring him being the culprit and as for Shawn....."

"I'm not sure about Shawn. He woke up and didn't think to check under his pillow to see if his weapon of defense was there. That's odd to me. But he did woke up at a time after Sue discovered the body" Flora said nervously.
"I'm sure you already noticed what you are saying isn't enough. Shawn could be pretending to sleep. He killed Mark, put Sue to sleep with sleeping gas then ran to his room and pretend as if he was sleeping" said Xavier. "You guys are really cruel, you know that" sighed Shawn.
"I'm sorry, it's just that our lives are at stake you know" said Xavier.
"But if he did do that when would he find time to hide the Monopoison, the Monoparalyzer, the sleeping gas and if he bothered to hid those things why would he carry the scissor back to his room after committing murder with it?"
.....
"Come to think of it that goes for everyone else too. They wouldn't have had enough time to hide all those stuffs after leaving the room. They went to the bathroom, some of our dorm rooms and the gym while Sue was asleep for like five minutes. The only person I can see doing that is probably Zoey the Ultimate Athlete" said Paul.
"I definitely could but I didn't murder him" said Zoey strongly.
"I wasn't sure if an accomplice was involved in this. I don't see the benefit of having one but I should look into that"
I looked up at Monoplus and asked "Hey if the culprit has an accomplice will the accomplice be able to escape too?"
"Of course not. Only the person who dealt the killing blow is allowed to leave" said Monoplus.
"Oh I get it, other than Zoey the rest of us wouldn't be able to hide those items within five minutes unless we had an accomplice" said Paul.
"I, I don't get it" said Flora.
"Okay listen. After the culprit escaped he or she had many things to get rid of quickly before being spotted. The culprit just simply handed it over to someone else who was helping them. If any of us spotted that helper we'd instantly called out that person to be the culprit and we'd be screwed" said Paul.
"Why?"
"Because the two of them are working together. We'd vote for the accomplice and die from voting incorrectly."
"Ummm"
"IS your brain filled with flowers and dirt?" asked Paul getting annoyed.
"He's right that is a possibility" said Shawna.
"SO if there is an accomplice I'd advise you to show yourselves if you don't want to die" I stated. "Seriously, that person must've been prepared to die if they decide to work with the culprit" said Zoey.
Shawna raised her hand and said "I'm tired of this."
"What now?" I asked.
"I just remembered that someone claimed that they heard Mark in his room way before Cj had a talk with him" said Shawna.
"Who?"
"Zoey right" said Cj strongly.
"Huh me?" said Zoey surprised.
"Yes, you told me you thought you heard him sneeze. Maybe you really did hear him sneeze and not me" said Cj. "Nonsense, I accepted that you were the one I heard and moved on" said Zoey. "Really? If I thought I heard Mark, there's a chance I might check it out" said Ricardo. "True" said Xavier.
"Hey Ricardo when did you and Zoey had breakfast?" asked June.
"Sometime around 6:20 am. After that I went to the bathroom and Zoey went to her room" said Ricardo.
"Oh I understand"
"I think I know who the culprit and the accomplice is now. Honestly my gut feeling already told me who it was from the very beginning. I just need to find a way to catch that person with evidence" I said to myself. I looked at both of them and shouted.
"The killer is not Shawn or Cj or Shawna" I shouted.
"Okay then so who is it?" asked Cj.
I replied "the culprit is---"
"Zoey" Shawna interrupted me.
Zoey gasp at the sound of her name and started shaking all over. "Hey that's not funny Shawna!".
"I know, it wasn't a joke" she replied. "Are you sure? I was waiting patiently for someone to bring up hard evidence for Paul or Terry" sighed June. "No way, if I killed Mark it would be with my bare hands" said Paul. "I don't like scissors" said Terry.
"I think its Zoey too" I said out loud. "Explain" said Xavier. As I was about to Shawna interrupted me once more and said "I'll start by saying I'm her accomplice".
"Whaaaaaaaaaa! What the fuck?! You've been accusing people while you knew it was friggin Zoey!" shouted Shawn upsettingly. "That's my job as a helper to murder isn't it. Try to throw you guys off the right track or at lengthened some topics but someone wasn't about to get fooled by that I'm afraid.
"I tend not to pay too much attention on things a culprit can take advantage of unless it's absolutely necessary. Ms. Kirigiri always say that it's a miracle sometimes how I solve murders in the pass without going too deep into them" I stated.

"Huh? You solve cases? You solved this case?"
"The Hell! I didn't kill anybody. Don't cross me. How the hell did you reach that conclusion!" shouted Zoey getting pissed.
"Wow, volume missy. Also please don't shout, I'd hate it if my ear started to bleed" said Fei.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it was you without stating my reason first" I apologized. "Actually Shawna was the one that said her name not you" said Jasmine. "Please don't interrupt me this time Shawna" I said before starting.
"First off you were one of the few who woke up early before Mark's death. Jasmine and I were up all night and haven't gotten a wink of sleep. We haven't left each other's sight so we know we didn't do it. Sue passed out so I find it hard to see her as the culprit. The only other ones are you and Ricardo and funnily enough you gave Ricardo breakfast and he went to the bathroom minutes after. I think it's possible that you put laxatives in his food so that you can be free to do whatever in the dorms" I stated.
"What the hell?! Sue could be lying about passing out you know" said Zoey angrily. "I don't know about that. There really were empty Sleeping Gas bottles weren't they?" asked Olivia. "Yes indeed, they were hidden behind the lockers in the gym" said Terry standing back up.
Monoplus jumped in and said "Oh the moment you stand back up you mustn't sit back down you there. Terry nodded and punched the puppy in the face. "Hey no hurting the headmaster you jerk!" yelled Monoplus.
"Anyways Sue being gassed isn't farfetched" said Terry.
"How can a girl like me even hurt Mark in the first place? He's the Ultimate Agent, are you telling me that he'd leave his door unlocked" said Zoey shaking".
"Wait I don't like this. We're starting to gang up on Zoey like how you ganged up on me. Give her some space and make her calm down" said Cj worriedly. "Yeah that's what happens in a Class Trial. I know it might be mean but it has to happen in order to get the truth" I said to him. "It doesn't sit right with me either. Zoey please calm down and tell us how you couldn't be the culprit" said Flora worriedly. "This is your only chance" said Jasmine.
"And please be quick about it, if you take too long we'll think that you're thinking a way out of this situation as the blackened" said June. "No way can it be Zoey. She wouldn't do such a thing. Mr. Naegi wouldn't accept her ever again if she did that and that's the last thing Zoey wants" said Cj. Fei took off his headphones and looked at Cj annoyingly. "Dude, I found these straw shooters in her room. There were plenty of them in her room".
"I'm being framed I swear" said Zoey.
"Explain the straw shooters then" said Fei.

"Fei you knew about that and didn't tell me" I said feeling a little hurt. "When I searched everyone's dorm rooms I found it. I can only imagine that it's used to shoot those needles I gave you. Those needles were in Shawn's room" said Fei.
"With all seriousness, do you think I would hide everything so scattered? Asked Zoey. "To throw us off probably" said Xavier. "I went to my room right after breakfast. I came back out when I heard Sue's scream. I didn't have any scissors with me and I didn't know anything about Monoparalyzer and Monopoison until this trial and I'm being framed for those straw shooters just like how Shawn was earlier" said Zoey desperately.
"Okay have it your way. I suggest try to find other ways in which some else could've murdered Zoey and if we failed then she's the culprit" said Xavier. "Okay, that sounds good" said Cj relieved. "What are you relieved about? She's still going to end up being the culprit" Xavier pointed at him. Cj stood up and said "Shut up and let's start with you red head".
"It's Xavier" red head corrected.
"Okay, Xavier's first." I agreed.
"Okay fine whatever, there's nothing for me to worry about anyways" sighed Xavier. "So when did you wake up?" asked Jasmine.
"I don't know the time exactly but I know I woke up thanks to the noise outside" said Xavier. "When I went to check what's going on most of you guys were already there gasping over the body"
Flora you next I stated. She nodded in reply and said "I woke up exactly 7 am this morning but I didn't leave my room at all until I heard Sue's voice. I was the first one to go out and there checked what happened". Xavier can't be the killer if he wasn't awake at the time of the murder and no one saw Flora outside her room right guys?" I asked. Everyone looked at each other and said "No, I haven't seen her" said Ricardo. If those who woke up early haven't seen her then she should be in the clear because I also woke up at 7 am but didn't leave my room" said June. Cj scratched his head and said "Shawn's the one that woke me up that morning. In fact I think he's been the one to wake up every morning since we've got here". Shawn added "Like I said earlier i woke up because of the noise. I didn't check under my pillow because I was in a hurry to see what happened outside. That blooded scissor has nothing to do with me".
"About those scissors, we never figured out why there were two in the first place didn't we. Let's move on to that now" said Shawna.
"Oh my god Shawna please stop. We're in the middle of doing something important and you want to side track us again. "A mystery like that will solve itself eventually. Don't waste our time" I said getting annoyed.
".... Fine"
We continued to ask everyone what they did this morning and most of them replied saying they woke up because of Sue. The only early birds were Zoey, Ricardo, and Sue. Jasmine and myself too I guess but none of us could have done it" I stated.
"What were you two doing together anyway?" asked Monoplus curiously. "Talking" said Jasmine. "Really that's it, how disappointing" sighed Monoplus. "Talking about what?" asked Flora. "I'm interested in medical science now. I've watched videos after videos about learning how to heal but I've never seen to understand it so I asked Jasmine for some tutoring" I answered. "Hey can I join in on that next time?" asked Fei curiously.
"Huh, that's a surprise. I didn't expect to hear that from you. Sure you can come" smiled Jasmine. "I think I might be interested as well. Can I join?" asked Terry. Jasmine looked at him aggressively and said "Go and eat dirt! My class is now full"
"Harsh" said Olivia.
"Anyways back to the matter of hand. None of us could've killed Mark within that time" said Xavier.
"But what if we got the time of death wrong? Are you sure we can get such an important detail so easily. It was unknown on the MonoFile you know" said Zoey.
"The stab wound was fresh when Sue saw it and when I took a look at it I could tell he wasn't long since he got stabbed" I replied. "Oh boy you guys are dead set on making me the culprit. It's so sad honestly. Mark is the Ultimate Agent, there's no way I could've snuck up on him even if he was sleeping" said Zoey wiping her face. "Of course you could. Just pick his lock while he was asleep and strike him" said Terry.
"Dumbass, I agree. It's not easy to sneak up on someone like Mark. Haven't you sensed his aura that man looks like he's always on his guard. I don't think he'd make a careless move as sleeping in his room defenselessly" said Paul. "Why did Mark pretend to be the mastermind? Why would Mark stay in such an unsafe location like his room? Why was he killed so easily?" I questioned feeling puzzled.
"I know, he really was the mastermind. Remember what he did with the remote he had. He's the one that called out Monoplus" said Zoey.
"That's true, not anyone can just do that" said Shawn.
Why did Mark pretend to be the Mastermind?

Why would he stay in such an unsafe location like his room?

"This would've been easier if I knew his personality a little bit. I hardly know the guy so this guess might be wrong" I thought to myself.
I looked at Fei and said "Fei you remember what you told me when I asked you about why Mark pretended. Fei nodded yes in response. "I think I said something about Monoplus appearing at the time he took out the remote was a coincidence and that the remote he has is just a prank. Monoplus appeared at that exact time he pushed the button. He just merely went along with the huge coincidence" said Fei. Everyone else nodded in disagreement and said "no way.
Fei went in his pocket and showed everyone a USB drive. I found this on Mark's table. I didn't think it would be useful for this trial which I'm probably right but I do think it will help us with other mysteries outside of his death".
"There he goes again showing us new stuff. I wish I shook Fei up and down for all the clues he's been hiding from me"
"Have you used it yet?" asked Cj.
"I didn't get around listening to all of the footage but he said that he made the remote he has to control any electronic device or unit that's close by. That's how he's successfully controlled Monoplus and the other robotic wolves. The moment he arrived at this mysterious place he noticed Monoplus was hiding and waiting for his time to show up in front of everybody. Somehow he knew for sure that we've been trapped in a killing game so he took control of Monoplus by pushing the button on his remote and then he decided to play mastermind. He went behind everyone's back and tried his best to make an escape route for everyone. That's where I've reached at the video. It was one whole hour so I couldn't finish it because of the investigation time limit" said Fei casually.
"This guy knew that all along and kept his mouth shut about it" said Paul upsettingly. "It's a habit of his forgive him" said Sue.
"SO he pretended to be the mastermind to try and find an escape route. Couldn't he have just told us?" asked Ricardo. "I guess but what about the real mastermind among us. Wouldn't he or she try to ruin his plan especially if he told us outright" said Shawna. "Real mastermind? Oh if Mark wasn't it then that means a traitor is still among us" sighed Xavier. "What a shame?! Mr. Naegi must be very disappointed with us" said June sadly.
Zoey clapped her hands and said "Enough of that, we need to find the culprit"
"True, like earlier I don't think Zoey can sneak up on Mark like that" said Paul.
"No need to worry about that, there all clues there that tells us how he got killed so easily" I stated. "Really name them" said Paul curiously. "Fei showed it to us earlier in the trial. A straw shooter".
"What?"
"You can put needles in a straw shooter and shoot it by blowing with your mouth" said Fei demonstrating. Fei put a tiny pebble in the straw shooter and then put it at his mouth. He aimed at Terry and shoots the pebble at him. The pebble went straight into Terry's left eye.
"Aaaaaahhhh!"
"Fei why!" shouted Terry.
"He's been through enough don't you think. He already has a stab wound" said Flora worriedly. Sue giggled and said "Please forgive him, he did it just to demonstrate".
"So how does that Straw Shooter make it easier to kill Mark?" asked Ricardo. "Mark's door has a very tiny hole but big enough for a needle to go through" I said.
"And to top a small hole was on the back of Mark's shirt. Like something pierced it"
"Are you saying that someone shot a needle through the door and stab Mark?" said Shawn. "The Monoparalyzer is the same as the Monopoison. It works on contact. If you put some of that liquid on a needle then you could paralyze Mark" said Olivia. "Oh well if he's paralyze then it doesn't matter if he knows that someone is breaking in his room. There's nothing he could've done about it" said Paul.
"Fei remind us, where did you find those needles and the Monoparalyzer again. That Straw Shooter too" I asked.
Fei responded saying "I found the needles and Monoparalyzer in ...…
"Alright folks I'm getting tired and it seems like you want this to keep going but too bad. You guys have five minutes left" said Monoplus with a loud yawn. "Five minutes!" shouted Terry panicking.
"This is heart throbbing" said Xavier touching his chest.
"Guess we'll just have to vote for the most suspicious and call it a day" sighed June.
"The most suspicious, me?" asked Zoey.
"Well yeah who else?" I asked curiously.
Zoey took a deep breath and shouted "You're all pieces of shit. Wasting time left and right but still knew you were going to vote for me in the end"
"I'm sorry Zoey but even if no one saw you early this morning the motive for murder was clearly meant for you" said Shawn. "The motive? The video Monoplus showed us on our first day right?" said Flora. "The video showing Naegi about to be executed" added Jasmine.
"Please you guys have to believe me, I'm not the culpr—"Zoey was interrupted before she finished her sentence. "I'm sorry Zoey but you've lost" said Shawna. "Huh"
"Shawna's been quiet for a while now and it felt great, why does she want to talk now "I wondered to myself.
"Before it hits Voting Time I'm going to expose you for the killer you really are! I'm getting tired of standing at one place. I miss the bed" complained Shawna.
"Anyways, it started yesterday when Zoey told Shawn about Cj and the others playing games. She lured him away from the warehouse so that she could take up a scissor without suspicion. While she did that I was in the infirmary tearing off all the labels for the Monopoison and the Monoparalyzer and threw them in a nearby trash can. I picked up a Monopoison and Monoparalyzer and met up with Zoey in her room. We both started making straw shooters for the rest of the day. So yeah Zoey had an accomplice here."

We both woke up early this morning and killed Mark. I gave Zoey the needle tainted with Monoparalyzer inside one of our straw shooters and she shot one through the hole I made beforehand. The needle stabbed Mark in the back and it paralyzed him instantly. I picked the lock for Zoey to go inside and she stabbed him with the scissor she got from the ware house. That scissor was coated with poison for him to die quicker. It's said that the Monopoison kills quickly. I heard a door opening up so I ran to my room as fast as I could leaving Zoey on her lonesome.
Sue came out of her room and smelled something weird in Mark's room so she checked the door and to her surprise it wasn't locked. She opened the door and before she got a good look at Mark's body she was knocked out by sleeping gas. I don't know where Zoey got those from but I didn't question her. Sue got knocked out and Zoey hurriedly ran outside of the room with everything, the scissor, the needles, the straw shooters, the sleeping gas and the chemicals. She came to my room and handed all of it to me depending on me to hide them properly.
So like the genius hider I am I hid all these items at random places for no one to see under the ten minute time frame Sue was unconscious. By the time Sue screamed Zoey and I casually entered the room like the others. Sorry guys"

"Shawna why?" asked Zoey trembling more than before.
"How could you? You traitor?" cried Zoey to herself.
"Traitor? SO everything she said was on the dot?" asked Shawn. Zoey dropped herself on the ground and started crying. "I can't believe this!"
"I can't"
"I can't believe this! FUCK YOU SHAWNA!" cried Zoey out loud.
"Okay that's five minutes, time for voting" smiled Monoplus.
"No wait please" begged Flora.
'NO! Vote or die!" said Monoplus sticking out his tongue. Monoplus's eyes became bright red with an evil grin on his face. "Vote, Vote, Vote" shouted Monoplus. As he pressured us all to vote we all look at our podiums and saw a list of everyone's name. I tapped on Zoey Leopard and it lit up blue. The other names were white while Mark's name was dull grey. After when everyone voted Monoplus said "Alright it's time to find out who the blackened is".
Monoplus pointed above him with his tongue showing us a monitor screen. The screen had all of our names on it in a dart board. It started to spin rapidly and Monoplus pulled out a dart out of his mouth. He threw the dart so fast no one could trace it. Before we knew it, it landed on Zoey's name".
Zoey breathed in deeply and said "Well that's that I suppose".
"Ooh, you stopped shouting" said Jasmine. "What a pity? I honestly wanted Terry or Paul to be the culprit" said June depressingly. Cj ran up to Zoey and gripped her shirt. "What the hell Zoey?!"
"Why did you kill him?!"
"Why did you of all people had to do it?!" shouted Cj. Cj's eyes became watery and so did Zoey's.
"I'm sorry Cj, I… I don't know what came over me" said Zoey. "Ever since I saw Makoto in danger I stopped thinking clearly" said Zoey. "I'm such an idiot" she sighed.
"No! Don't say that. You chose Mark as your target after all. You were thinking that if you killed him then we'd all be free right?" said Sue.
"Murder is still murder. Mr. Naegi wouldn't want that under any circumstance" I stated. "But, Monoplus can't you give Zoey a second chance?" begged Sue. "She killed someone who she thought was the mastermind. If Mark didn't pretend then she wouldn't have committed a crime" said Sue. Monoplus eyes lightened and he replied "Young Miss did you not read the rules? IF you harm the mastermind you'll get punished. I made it clear that if you murder someone and got figured out its game over".
"Damn it, this is so wrong now that it's over" said Shawn biting his thumb.
Zoey looked down on the floor not daring to look the others in the eye. "Before I go I just want to apologize about how I acted in the trial. I didn't want to face death just yet you know. But if I escaped then that means the rest of you would die. Now that I think about it Makoto would just write me off if I did that and I'd be living with the feeling of guilt till the day I die" said Zoey shamefully.
"I'm glad to hear that you've accepted your fate" said Shawna walking away. "Where are you going missy?" asked Monoplus. "I have something important in my room that I need to work on. Bye" said Shawna. "I guess you can leave since the trials over but you'll be missing out the main event" said Monoplus. "NO thanks, I don't want to see my classmate die right in front of me. I rather be in my room and cry at the thought" said Shawna breathing heavily.
"I'm sorry I had to put you guys in this trial. This is what I deserved for killing Mark. Not only did I take a life I may have ruined our chances of leaving here since Mark may have been finding an escape route the entire time" sighed Zoey.
"So is that it? Can I start the execution now?" asked Monoplus.
"Go ahead, I'd run away from you but I feel like it's pointless" sighed Zoey.
"No! I'm not done with her yet" shouted Cj starting to cry. "Jeez, as a fellow Naegi fan to another. Is there anything I can do for you?" asked CJ. Zoey moved in closer and whispered in his ear. "Check my room after this, I have something very precious to me and I want you to have it. It's in my top drawer" said Zoey. "Okay got it" Cj replied.
"That damn Mark, why did he have to go and start all this" said Terry holding onto his shoulder wound. "What a mess?!" said Fei. "So this is a Class Trial huh, we pressure our friends until we find out who the killer is and make that friend die" said June with a dull expression on her face. Xavier looked around confused. "Why are you all like this?! You were the ones that voted for her death aren't you. We're all murderers now so stop acting like good people please. It doesn't sit well with a class trial. Hold your head up high and give the culprit a proper goodbye. What's the point in giving her a sad look, she's the one who's really sad right now not us. At least make her feel happy before she goes" said Xavier going in for a hug.
"To be honest I had a strong feeling it was going to be you. I'll be sure to draw a magnificent painting as a reminder that you existed" said Xavier squeezing her tight in his arms. Cj went in for a hug too right after and Zoey accepted them proudly.
While everyone was focusing on Zoey I questioned "What is Shawna working on in her room? Is it really that important, more important that her classmate's execution. She's an accomplice to this case. She helped Zoey to commit murder and she's getting away with it just fine. That's not fair"
I walked up to Zoey and asked "Is it true that Shawna helped you?" Zoey replied "Yes she offered me her help. I should've known she was going to screw me over".
"No kidding, she deliberately hid all the evidence so that they are easy to find and she even pressured you with the rest of us during the trial" said Jasmine. "I'm going to miss you Zoey" said Ricardo sadly.
Monoplus cleared his throat and said "You guys have three minutes. I want some sleep".
Zoey looked up at the surveillance camera and shouted "Makoto! There I called you by your first name!"
"Please forgive me, don't hate me I beg you!"
"I love you Makoto and I'll be sure to watch over you and the rest!" cried Zoey dropping on her knees.
"Oh right I almost forgot, remember that video I showed you guys of Naegi being in danger. He actually escaped not too long ago. You murdered to try and save your love but he got saved either way" smiled Monoplus.
"He's alright, thank goodness" said Zoey feeling relieved.
"Zoey is so unfortunate. I won't' forgive whoso ever that forced us into this killing game" I thought to myself. "Zoey scratched her head and said "Can you all do me a favor before I go. I'd like you all to call Shawna bitch".
"Ha, I was already going to" smiled Terry. "Yeah, she did you pretty dirty there. That' her name from now on" said Cj.
"Hahahaha, I like it, bitch" laughed Jasmine.
"Sorry but I don't think I can do that" said Flora. "I'll try" added Olivia.
"So this is how you're going to die. Because of your blind love in someone" I sighed to myself disappointingly.
EXECUTION TIME
OKAY IT'S TIME FOR EXECUTION. ZOEY LEOPARD, THE ULTIMATE ATHLETE. YOUR TIME ENDS NOW!
"Later"
Without warning a hole appeared under Zoey and she fell in. The monitor above Monoplus started showing Zoey after that. We watched as she fell for what felt like ages until she landed on the ground harshly. She stood back up and dusted off the dirt on her clothes then looked around her. She found herself in a room filled with tiny little puppies and they're all in the set position. Zoey figured that they were about to chase her so she started running before they set off. She got a good lead ahead of puppies but when they started running they quickly started to catch up with Zoey with hungry looks in their eyes. Most of them were wild and drooling for food. Zoey looked left to right and saw that the puppies were slowly surrounding her so she picked up the pace and ran even faster. While she left the puppies in the dust she found a door which she immediately went through closing the door behind her. When she looked inside the room she saw Monoplus with his tongue holding a gun. He shot a bullet at Zoey but she luckily dodged it. He continued to shoot at her until she got shot in the leg. The moment she was shot she fell on the floor and Monoplus then Monoplus dropped the gun and whistled. Seconds after all the hungry looking puppies bust open the door and saw Zoey on the floor screaming. They ran towards her and started to bite her and chew. Started with her clothes then her flesh then her inner-organs. It was a disgusting and brutal way to go. She died being eaten by puppies. Twenty minutes later all the puppies were filled and walked away leaving nothing but Zoey's skeleton. The screen blacked out after that.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH! Everyone screamed including me. I was shocked by how she died, I was expecting a guillotine at worst but that was too much for me to watch".
"What the fuck?!" Paul, Terry and Jasmine shouted simultaneously. Flora fainted on the floor after what she witnessed. "Oh my god" said Ricardo dropping on the floor. Olivia took Flora up and left the premises. So did everyone else one by one. NO one was in the mood to talk to one another. When everyone left only Cj and I were still in the trial grounds.
I walked up to him and asked "Are you okay?'. "Of course I'm not. Zoey's dead. She's dead because of her feelings, Mark's carelessness and Monoplus's actions" sighed Cj to himself. "It feels like my head is going to explode I better go and take a nap" said Cj. Before he left "Wait before you go, tomorrow would you like to explore with me. I'll ask Shawn to come too" I asked. Cj nodded yes in reply and left using the elevator.
I alone was still at the trial grounds. I sat by my podium and started crying to myself since no one was around to see me do it. "I guess this is what Shawna's been doing. Oh, I should call her bitch from now on" I thought to myself.
Meanwhile at Jabberwock Island a short guy with an eye patch along with a blonde hair princess were talking to each other in private.
"Hajime said that we should wait until we receive word from Naegi to try and save those kids. What do you think about that?" asked the blonde hair princess.
"You know what I think Sonia. It's bullshit. I'm sure if my clan and you kingdom with reinforcement from Hopes Peak is enough to save those kids. I'm not planning on waiting to receive an order. Terry is in danger and I need to get him out" said the guy with the eye patch.
"You care about that boy Fuyuhiko?" asked Sonia curiously.
"Of course I do, he's a member of my clan is he not?" replied Fuyuhiko.
"Well, whenever you're ready count me in. I also don't like to wait. Those kids do not deserve this" said Sonia strongly.
"Yeah okay whatever, you better leave me alone now before Kazuichi spots us. I can't handle his annoying rambles right now" sighed Fuyuhiko.
"Quiet! I'll stay here for as long as I want" said Sonia stubbornly. "Fine"
"Those children, they're in for a world of pain. We don't even know who's responsible for it" said Fuyuhiko clinching his fist. Without Fuyuhiko's or Sonia's knowledge they were being watched by Hajime from a distance listening on to their conversation.
"Of course you two wouldn't want to wait. Oh well I can understand how you feel" said Hajime.
