Nyx can't help herself from smiling when she heard Rem's words. She felt the warm feeling she got whenever Rem say words like this.
"I... will... do... it..." Nyx slowly replied making Rem smile.
"Thanks, sister Nyx." Rem can't help himself from hugging Nyx.
Nyx wanted to hug him back, but she can't do it considering that her body is still feeling weak.
"My little Kein, you shouldn't exhaust the patient. Go out, for now, I'll look how Nyx is doing." Oro's voice popped up making Rem remove his arms away from Nyx.
"Okay, Grandma. I'll see you later, sister Nyx." Rem stood up and left them alone, he instead continued his training to not waste time.
"Hmmm, let's see. Your body seems fine except that you feel exhausted and weak. It must be because you're not taking the proper amount of nutrients, you were eating only soups for a couple of days. Hane, go and prepare something for Nyx." Oro says. Hane left them and went to do what she was ordered.
"The frown in your face tells me that you're troubled by something. Tell me, what is it?" Oro was curious why Nyx was frowning at her.
"You... did... not... say... the... whole... truth..." Nyx said with difficulty but Oro was patient enough to wait for her.
"Hmmm, you are correct. You are a prodigy so it is to be expected that you'll notice something different from your current state. Don't worry though, since you'll just be having a familial feeling towards the tribe. I'm sorry if I had to do these underhanded methods, but this is my way of protecting the tribe." Oro bowed her head. She knew when she is wrong and needed to apologize.
Nyx's eyes went wide from Oro's action making her unable to reply for a few moments.
"For... gi... ven..." Nyx replied. She knew that she should be mad at this, but she just thought that this can be a form of retribution for her past actions, and just accepted it.
"Thank you for your benevolence, Nyx." Oro smiled and let out a deep breath of relief. She was not someone who likes resentment from others, she wants to create allies, not enemies.
Nyx just nodded and went quiet. She might have forgiven Oro, but she still didn't want to talk to her for the time being. Dead silence emerged from them, but neither side felt awkward from it. They instead felt at peace with the quietness.
"Here's some meat and soup, Nyx!" Hane's voice came making the two look in her direction.
"I also prepared some for you, Elder Oro."
"Thank you, Hane. You're very thoughtful." Oro praised and took the bowl of soup and dried meat from her.
"I'm sorry if you just eat something like this since you've stayed here, Nyx." Hane nervously played with her hands while saying this. Nyx nodded to her and wanted to say it was fine, but instead, she just gave a smile to her as a sign of thanks.
"I'll call for the young master to eat too, I'll be leaving now." Hane left them again making the room quiet.

"Are all of you ready?" Maria asked.
"Yes, Miss Maria. I've already packed all of my things. Olly seems to be having a hard time which teddy bear she'll bring." Cen shook her head as she can't believe how Olly still loves the stuffed toys she has.
"Hey, don't judge me. Everyone has something they love that they don't want to lose. Mine just happens to be stuffed toys." Olly stuck out her tongue while kicking her teddy bear inside her bag.
"Look at little bro, he is just carrying a small bag. It practically contains a few pairs of clothes." Cen pointed to Rem making Olly pout.
"I don't care."
"Girls, stop talking and just quickly finish packing. We need to get going, or else our client will get mad." Maria scolded making the two shut up and start packing quickly.
After a few minutes, all of them were outside their house and were loading their things inside a carriage.
"Is this all of your things, Miss Maria?" A man that looked like a knight asked.
"Yes."
"Alright, we'll be going to Guenrt's House then." The man said.
Maria and others nodded and rode the carriage.
"Why are we going there again, Miss Maria?" Olly asked.
"Olly, why are not always listening?" Cen reprimanded.
"It's fine, Cen. We are going to Guenrt's household because we need to guard Miss Diantha. She's a noble and a concubine of King Garon. We need to guard her as she is pregnant. You know how the situation is, the other concubines might scheme and kill the child she is carrying. I didn't want to accept this request, but we can't afford to offend the Geunrt family." Maria sighs.
"Nobles and their forceful requests, we got ourselves stuck in an internal fight to the throne. I love these kinds of drama, but I hate it when we are included in it." Cen grumbled.
"Remember to keep a low profile while we are there. Rem, never use your beast transformation. You can only use your healing spells. Olly, you won't use your healing spells on others. You will only act as if you're a normal Knight. Cen, dark magics are not allowed for you too. You can only use the sword and nothing else. I don't want them to see how talented you guys are, especially you, Rem. Nobles are commonly known as greedy creatures, and they'll surely exploit us even further once they knew about your talents."
"Of course, you can use your other skills if you are in danger. But only do so if you think you are cornered. I'll be the only one showing capabilities to some extent, we'll let them think that the three of you are dead weights that I'm carrying. They'll think you are my weakness that they can exploit, and we'll let them think that." Maria explained.
"Won't that make them exploit us further? They'll think we are pushovers, Miss Maria. I don't like this idea at all." Cen replied.
"That's what I want them to think. They'll surely get disappointed in hiring us and will kick us quickly once they saw that. They'll think that we are just leeching them off since they are hiring 4 people but only one of us is valuable. We'll squeeze them dry, and make them regret hiring us." Maria smiled.
"We can't do that, Miss Maria. They'll surely spread rumors about how bad we do our job." Cen frowned as she was worried about the consequences. Rem nodded along since he too thinks that this will happen.
"Hmmm, that's true. But, don't worry about it since we'll be going to a different country after this. I don't like it here anymore, and I feel like it's a bad idea to stay here any longer." Maria muttered while looking outside. She was tired of seeing the always dark and gloomy sky the country has. She was also tired of the black withered trees, and the sky that always changes in weather.
"I want to see the outside world, I know that we are still blessed compared to the people living underground in the cities and towns but I can't help but want to see the lush and blue skies of the other countries. We may not be able to migrate to Hoshido, but we can at least do so in other countries." Maria said.
"You're right, Miss Maria. I also read about how great the lands of the other countries have. Most particularly in Hoshido, the book states that the Hoshido are greedy people who hold almost all of the resources in the world. I do think that the book is a ploy to ignite hatred for Hoshido." Cen commented.
"I've also read that, war will likely commence in a few years between our country and Hoshido."
'Maria and Cen are smart enough to see the hidden signs, that's good since we can move to other countries we can stay. Izumo is a no go considering I have a pendant that was stolen from there. Kohga is also not ideal since it will be invaded in a few years. Mokushu is not good also since they'll start to invade the Kohga. Nestra and Norte Sagesse are the only choices.' Rem thought as Maria started to narrate how beautiful the other countries are.
"Then let's go with your plan, Miss Maria. Once we are kicked out of Guenrt's household, we'll move out of this country. Hopefully, we can migrate somewhere safe and peaceful." Cen commented.
"And a place with a gambling house also. I won't be able to live without that." Maria whispered making the other chuckle.
"Then I want a place with many stuffed toys, and that sells accessories!" Olly shouted.
"Pfft- that's so much like you, Olly." Cen teased.
"I don't want to be like you who is always holed up in her romance books." Cen turned red from hearing that since that was her guilty pleasure.
