It was raining when lightning struck down a fragile body in a dark room. "Where am I...ouch, my head hurts a lot...damn those immortals. If only I had calmed down and assessed the situation, I wouldn't have ended up being tricked by that girl...wait, how am I still alive?" Tang Yan slowly staggered up, looking deep into the rainy environment. It was a strange yet familiar place to him. Soon, memories of the previous owner of the body flashed through his mind.
The owner of the body was also named Tang Yan, a country bumpkin who spent his entire life working as a servant for others while taking care of his two younger siblings. He died of exhaustion due to the continual strain on himself. He was a high school scholar, seventeen years old, and the eldest loser of the school. He was unpopular with males and females of his age, had a weird fetish for older women, and lacked guts.
"What kind of life has this guy been living? Although he's unpopular, what's with the desire for older women? And he's also a timid retard...this couldn't get any worse." Just as he was mumbling to himself, the door opened, and his youngest sibling, a girl named Sisi, came in with an old, shabby blanket. "Brother, I'm scared of thunder, and I couldn't sleep," she said, snuggling into his arm as he stood by the broken mirror opposite his bed.
Tang Sisi was known to be a troublemaker with bold and mischievous acts, but in contrast, she was kind and cute, making it hard to believe she could cause trouble. "Why don't you go to Chen's room?" Tang Yan asked, caressing her head. "That cold-blooded brother won't allow me to even come close to his room. Brother, please, just for this one night." Tang Yan had no choice but to accept her, and she slept cuddling in his arms.
While she slept, he kept thinking about how he should start living in this new era. After a moment of thought, he decided to let nature take its course. The following morning came, and the calm blue sky surfaced again, along with chirping birds flying around. "Big brother, wake up, or you'll be late again," Tang Chen shouted with a respectful tone from the living room.
Tang Sisi, who heard this, jumped out of bed and ran towards the bathroom without a second thought. It could be said that she was awake for a while and just lay snuggling in his arms for warmth and fun. "As expected, she also likes to have fun at any moment," he said, standing up from the bed and beginning to inspect every inch and corner of his body.
In his previous life, he possessed a strong and almost impenetrable physique, along with a godly intellect, which caused him to neglect cultivating his body to a certain extent. But the situation he found himself in required him to work hard on his body. Luckily, he had once stolen body cultivation manuals from both monks and demonic sects of the immortal peaks.
"Now that I think about it, I really never got to understand those manuals and their usefulness. For now, let me just have the fun and taste of a new era." A small figure appeared from behind him, giving him a scare. "What are you busy mumbling about, big bro? Don't tell me you're thinking about those weird things again, are you? If so, you'd better snap out of it before I spread the word out to people in the neighborhood, and by then, let's see how you'll be able to save face for yourself," Tang Chen said with a devilish smile on his face.
Even the younger brother was crazy and scary for him to mess with, he thought. After some tea, he came out of the small apartment and sent his little ones to school before going to his own school. Upon entering the school, he saw many females in revealing clothes, while some males showcased their might. Tang Yan walked straight up into the class he was stationed in, according to the previous owner's memories.
His seat was located second to the last at the left side of the classroom, at the window. The person who sat behind him was another silent, ghost-like student with a strange vibe and lazy attitude. The class was bustling, as the teacher had yet to arrive. Suddenly, a small book was thrown at him, landing with its edge against his forehead. "Hey, kiddo, bring me the book thrown at you," an arrogant voice came from the side.
The person who owned the voice was a class bully named Yan Fan, also a lackey of a scrupulous small gang in the school, consisting of students from relatively middle-class parents in society.
Tang Yan looked at him with a frown, for he hated it when people wanted to boss him around in an arrogant way for no reason. To him, only he had the authority to do so, but for the sake of wanting to experience something new, he endured his impulse and brought the book to Yan Fan expressionlessly and nonchalantly placed it in front of him.
Just as he turned to leave, one of Yan Fan's followers made him trip, causing him to fall and hit his elbow against the hard ground. This fall attracted the attention of the class. "Look over there, the school's eldest loser has been caught in their trap," someone sneered. "Pity, seems he was finally caught and is about to be trampled on."
The class bully, Yan Fan, and his followers began to mock and tease Tang Yan, enjoying his misfortune. Tang Yan, however, remained calm, observing his surroundings and the people in it. He knew that he had to be careful and adapt to this new environment if he wanted to survive.
As the teacher entered the classroom, the students quieted down, and the lesson began. Tang Yan listened intently, trying to learn as much as he could about this new world and its inhabitants. He knew that knowledge was power, and he needed all the power he could get to navigate this unfamiliar territory.
Throughout the day, Tang Yan encountered various students, each with their unique personalities and quirks. He met a quiet and reserved girl who sat in the corner, a group of rowdy boys who loved to play pranks, and a charismatic student leader who seemed to have it all together.
As the school daywas about to come to a close, Tang Yan reflected on his experiences. He realized that this new world was full of complexities and challenges, but also opportunities and possibilities. He knew that he had to be brave, resourceful, and determined if he wanted to make the most of his second chance, which was to have fun to the fullest not minding anything.
