Just as Tang Yan began thinking about what to do after classes were over, the whole class excitedly looked in his direction.
"Well, a show is about to start; let's just watch and see how it unfolds."
"Just thinking about it makes my blood boil." The students around began commenting, some with taunts, some with pity, some with mockery, while most looked forward to the fun scene.
Tang Yan stood up and dusted himself off with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
"Are you looking to die, you insect?" he said, approaching the one who had tripped him.
A heavy pressure weighed on the student's chest as he looked at the smile on Tang Yan's face, now only a step away.
"What right does a person have to say that to one of my men?" Yan Fan shouted, his face red with anger.
"Mind your words," Tang Yan warned, his gaze vicious.
The whole class erupted into an uproar, for this was the first time a nobody in the class had shown this side of himself.
"Did the eldest loser lose his mind, or is he just trying to act cool?"
"I'll have to say that if it was acting cool, he totally nailed it."
"He's done for; the bells ring, he's finished."
Many voices echoed as Tang Yan stood tall, his eyes flashing with a fierce light. Only the people around Yan Fan could feel the tension, sensing that they would really die if they made any unnecessary move. It was unknown when the lackey who was in trouble with Tang Yan had wet his pants, but seeing this, Tang Yan smiled and retreated back to his seat.
Yan Fan, on the other hand, felt burning rage within his heart, for this was a huge humiliation and a blow to his pride. The gang's image had been ruined due to this incident. "You damn bastard...you're going to pay a heavy price for what you've caused me," Yan Fan cursed, his eyes blazing with anger as he looked at Tang Yan from the side.
Soon, the ghostly figure who usually sat behind Tang Yan came by and took his seat. Before he sat down, he had been staring at Tang Yan from the entrance with a horrified expression and a complicated mind. Although Tang Yan noticed him, he ignored his stares and continued with the day.
It wasn't until the school was over that Tang Yan finally had the chance to question the latter. "Hey, buddy, what's your name?" he asked with a rogue voice. "Lu Ding," he replied in a low voice, very wary of him.
But the next thing that happened made Lu Ding's mind go blank. Tang Yan began laughing maniacally. "Lu Ding, as in Ding Ding? Hahahaha! Ding'er, what's up with that name, bro? That's hella funny!" Tang Yan said, hugging his ribs due to laughter.
Lu Ding, hearing this, was enraged and left, but one thing was certain in his mind: the mad immortal Tang Yan was back. Although Tang Yan might not yet have recognized him, he was sure that the madman he had always avoided and despised had returned, which explained the sudden change in demeanor.
