Y/n POV
I was working in my cabin, completely absorbed in updating the files that needed revisions. The day had been hectic, with back-to-back tasks keeping me occupied. My fingers moved quickly over the keyboard, my eyes scanning through rows of data and documents.
Time slipped away unnoticed until I finally leaned back with a sigh and reached for my phone. The bright screen lit up my face, and my eyes widened slightly—8 PM already. Had I really been working for this long?
Before I could dwell on it, a sudden knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts. I straightened in my seat, wondering who it could be at this hour.
"Come in," I said, looking up as the door opened. Kayden was standing there, his usual confident stance relaxed as he met my gaze.
"Hey, let's go—" He started but suddenly paused, his eyes flickering toward my desk.
"Oh, just a moment, sir," I quickly said, turning back to my work. The last page of the document had just finished printing. I grabbed it, attached it to the file, and neatly placed the stack in its designated spot.
With that done, I reached for my phone and bag, ready to leave. As I turned back, I noticed Kayden still standing there, watching me intently. His expression was unreadable, and for a brief moment, I wondered what was on his mind.
"Hey," I murmured, reaching up and gently touching his face.
Kayden blinked, caught off guard. "Oh, I-I... You must be tired?" he asked, his voice softer than usual.
I let out a small sigh. "Yeah, a little."
His gaze lingered on me for a moment before he asked, "Are you hungry?"
I nodded.
"Then let's go." Without hesitation, he took my hand, ready to lead me out.
I stopped him, my fingers tightening slightly around his. "Sir, we're still in the office."
He chuckled, the corners of his lips lifting into a playful smile. "Everyone's gone already, Miss Busy," he teased.
His words made me realize just how late it really was. The once lively office was now silent, and it was just the two of us.
"Ah okay " I said he take my hand in his then we walk into the elevator and when the door closed I see my reflection in the door my hairs into the Messy bun I put a pencil in is and some hairs are falling on my face it's look nice by the way the door open we are walking to the car I pull the pen from my hairs then my hairs falls down Kayden open the door for me I get in we go to the restaurant we eat some delicious food
Kayden: y/n eat slowly" I am so tired to eat or walk or do something I pout
"Ah, okay," I said softly.
Kayden took my hand in his, and we walked toward the elevator. As the doors closed, I caught my reflection in the metal surface. My hair was tied up in a messy bun, with a pencil tucked into it, and a few loose strands fell over my face. It actually looked kind of nice.
The elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. We stepped out, walking toward the car. As we reached it, I pulled the pencil from my hair, letting it fall freely around my shoulders.
Kayden opened the door for me. Without a word, I slipped inside, exhausted. The drive to the restaurant was quiet but comfortable.
Once we arrived, we ate some delicious food, though I barely had the energy to lift my fork.
Kayden watched me with a slight frown. "Y/N, eat slowly."
I let out a small pout. "I'm too tired to eat… or walk… or do anything," I mumbled.
"I sleepy but I am hungry too " he laughed
Kayden: let me feed you then he get up and sit on my side
"No no you don't have t-"
Kayden: open your mouth aaah" I laugh
I eat
"I can eat you know"
Kayden: don't say anything just eat " I eat and smile at him he wipe my mouth with his hand
"Hey- I can do that people will think I am a kid "
Kayden: don't warry about them " he said
"I am full now you should eat"
"I'm sleepy… but I'm hungry too," I mumbled, pouting.
Kayden chuckled, amused. "Then let me feed you."
Before I could protest, he got up and sat beside me.
"No, no, you don't have t—"
"Open your mouth. Aaah," he said playfully.
I laughed but gave in, taking a bite.
"I can eat by myself, you know."
Kayden shook his head. "Don't say anything. Just eat."
I smiled, chewing slowly as he watched me with a satisfied look. When a bit of sauce was left at the corner of my lips, he reached out and wiped it away with his thumb.
"Hey— I can do that! People will think I'm a kid," I protested, slightly embarrassed.
Kayden smirked. "Don't worry about them."
I huffed but smiled. "I'm full now. You should eat, too."
Kayden leaned in slightly, pouting. "Aren't you going to feed me now? I'm tired too, you know."
I laughed at his adorable expression. "Ah, okay, okay. Say aaaah."
He obediently opened his mouth, eating like a small, cute kid. I couldn't help but giggle at the sight.
After some time, we were back in the car, the warmth and comfort lulling me into a daze. I didn't even realize when my eyelids grew heavy… and before I knew it, I had drifted off to sleep.
But when I opened my eyes I was in my room I rubb my eyes I see my clothes are not from the last night I about to shout but my rooms door open
Emma: so you woke up " she said
" You changed my clothes last night " I said
Emma: yeah do you want to Kayden has changed it then " I throw a pillow to her
"No you pervert I don't know when I slept last night"
When I opened my eyes, I was in my room. Blinking in confusion, I rubbed my eyes and sat up. Something felt… different.
I looked down at myself—my clothes weren't the same as last night. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I was about to scream when the door suddenly opened.
Emma stood there, leaning against the frame with a smirk. "So, you finally woke up."
I pointed at my clothes, my voice suspicious. "Did you change my clothes last night?"
Emma shrugged. "Yeah. Or… would you have preferred if Kayden had done it?" she teased.
My eyes widened, and without thinking, I grabbed a pillow and threw it at her. "No, you pervert! I don't even remember when I fell asleep last night!"
Emma just laughed, dodging the pillow effortlessly. "Relax, sleepyhead. You knocked out in the car. Kayden carried you up, but I did the rest."
I exhaled in relief, but my cheeks still burned.
Emma leaned against the doorframe with a teasing grin. "Well, you looked so cute in his arms last night. Like a perfect couple…"
I rolled my eyes, but before I could say anything, she smirked. "Oh, and guess what? He even kissed you."
My eyes widened. "What?!—"
Before I could panic, she laughed and dodged the pillow I threw at her.
"Relax! It was just on the cheek. But still… it was adorable. He was so caring," she added with a knowing smile.
I felt my face heat up, but a small smile tugged at my lips. "Yeah—"
Then suddenly, reality hit me. "Wait… what time is it now?"
Emma glanced at her phone. "It's 6:30. You still have an hour and a half."
I groaned, flopping back onto my bed. "Then let me sleep. I'll get up at 9 today."
Emma stood near the door, arms crossed, watching me with a curious expression. "Why don't you have to be at the office by 8 AM?" she asked.
I closed my eyes for a moment, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle over me. "No, I'm going in late today," I said, my voice steady despite the lie.
Emma didn't seem convinced but didn't push further. "Okay, but make sure to inform Kayden, or he'll worry," she reminded me.
I let out a small sigh. "Okay," I muttered.
She gave me one last glance before leaving the room. As soon as she was gone, I reached for my phone, my fingers hesitating for a second before typing out a message.
Me: Kayden, I'm going to Mr. Coel's house, so I won't be coming to the office today. Sorry.
After hitting send, I placed my phone beside me and closed my eyes again, letting the quietness of the room pull me back into sleep.
But my rest didn't last long. The sudden ringing of my phone startled me awake. Groggily, I reached for it and squinted at the screen.
Kayden.
I hesitated for a second before finally answering.
